Ever gave a soft and cautious smile. She curtsied to her headmistress and then walked into the room. She shut the door behind her and took a seat in a chair across from the headmistress's desk. Her headmistress looked very tired, when Ever dared to glance at her, and Ever felt terrible for causing her such stress.
But she didn't dare say anything right now. Let her headmistress speak first. Ever's hands were folded in her lap and she was looking down at the ground.

Eylios "Oho! The princess awakens!" Ophiuchus chided Lin playfully. "Mind if I sit with you for a few minutes before I leave?" Lin's eyes filled with confusion and nervousness. Where was her professor going? Why was he leaving her here, wherever here was? It had a very calm atmosphere, though... "Professor Akakios, where are you going and why... why are you leaving me behind?"

"Because you're at Bai Ching," Ophiuchus said calmly, reassuringly holding Lin's hand. "You're so sad and stressed right now that... well. the Headmistress and I thought it would be better if you went back to Bai Ching for a while. It's much calmer here," he admitted, "Compared to Mystic Fountain."

Etzel smiled at Akira, giving her a short lick on the cheek. Thank you. You are a very kind person. He walked out the room, the door opening with magic from him, and then sat by Arielle, resting his large head on her lap. The door closed.

Lin's eyes were now filling with calmness and happiness. "I'm... home?" She squeezed her professor's hand as she felt him hold her hand. In her state, though, it was a very weak grasp.

Cuwen Ever gave a soft and cautious smile. Arielle let her hand rest upon Etzel's head when he came, knowing he'd come to try and comfort her, the same way he had done for many years now. Then she looked back at Evermore. "Evermore... You are aware, I trust, of how your actions were deserving of punishment, correct?"

Evermore nodded several times, quickly. "Yes, Headmistress Krause, I understand completely and agree. I was completely inappropriate earlier and completely misused your trust in me. It will never happen again, Headmistress. I am so, so very sorry."
She was also wondering where Akira was.

"Well... yes, I suppose so. Your home school, at least." The healer squeezed Lin's hand back. "And I'm leaving a very big box filled lots and lots of fun assignments for you~"

Arielle nodded softly, looking out the window. "As such, I will have to require that you only come to my office when I am present. For the next week, I would like you to come to my office directly after your lessons for the day. I will have a chore for you to do." Looking back at Evermore, she asked, "You do not have anything that would interfere with this, do you? Things such as clubs or perhaps the school play."

Lin's smile grew larger and she laughed very softly. She was truly glad that her professor had done that. "Thank you so much, Professor. I am truly grateful and humbled."
Lin's smile lessened slightly and she found herself looked toward the wall in embarrassment. "Professor Akakios... I... I am so embarrassed and sorry for my many horrible actions the past few days. You did not deserve any of them and I am sure I embarrassed you with my... advances."
Her cheeks flushed, though not as badly as they would have if she was completely healthy. "I am so sorry."

Ever shook her head quickly, still looking down at the ground in embarrassment. "Of course, Headmistress. I will only come here when you are here and I will come to your office every day after my classes."

Arielle nodded, scratching Etzel behind the ears. Taking a brush--one very similar to the one she'd handed Akira earlier--she held it out to Evermore, and gestured to the side room. "Akira is in there. Help her to brush my cats. When they're both fully brushed, you may both leave."
It was killing her inside to be so formal with Evermore, but she... she didn't know what else to do right now.

Ophiuchus smiled down at Lin. "It was awkward, for sure. But it's also my fault for reacting so badly. There was no harm done, Lin. It's only your health that matters." He glanced behind him. No one was there. "Now, before there's another scandal..."

Ever quickly got up and took the brush gently from her headmistress's hand. She completely understood her headmistress's formal behavior toward her. It hurt, very badly, but she understood it and knew it was required right now.
Ever bowed her head to her headmistress and then walked into the small room to brush out the cats with Akira... and probably to a room filled with silence. She had a feeling that the punishment would not be in brushing out the cats.

Lin gripped her professor's hand again quickly. "Wait, please?"
With her free hand, she began to reach to her hip and move her hand under her dress. Her fingers finally brushed against what she was searching for in her thigh holster and she winced as she detached it and brought it out for her professor. She held it out to him with tears in her eyes.
It was a beautiful glass rose with a tiny stain of blood on one of its petals. It was from where that petal had cut into Lin's leg slightly. She had put the rose there after Dymetri had died. She had gone to her room before she went to the library and picked up one of the glass roses that Dymetri loved to make for her. She had put it in her thigh holster so that it would be with her while she was researching. As she had been walking to the library, she had felt a sharp pain on her thigh and looked down at it under dress. One of the petals was scraping her thigh, but for some reason, she didn't mind this at all. It was a reminder of Dymetri, a constant reminder.
But now.... now it was time to let it go. And just thinking that nearly knocked her unconscious again, but she remained awake.
"This... Can you please put this next to Dymetri's grave..."
Her breath caught and she had to pause for a moment to keep from letting the sobs escape. When she felt she could speak again, she continued.
"I wouldn't be able to attend his funeral, even if I was at Mystic Fountain." She couldn't force herself to go to his funeral. He would remain alive in her heart and memories. She would not bury him.
