Cid is a brawler and is a great fighter. (I used him a lot)
Freya....I haven't played her game so I don't really know the competition.
Fran couldn't hold up well against him. Kimahri might be able to match up with him, but Cid has explosives that can keep him above Kimahri.
So I'll go with Cid and his Spear/explosives.

I'd say Freya. I don't know much about Cid, 'cept that he has a spear. xd Fran...(Who's Fran?) I believe Freya to be much more skilled with a spear that Kimahri. Kimahri's good, I just think Freya's got more skill, and I believe she could easily overpass Cid. Eh.. That is a spear she uses, right? confused redface

DEm-o ok...I counted 8 post (Has not voted yet) and 14 votes... neutral I wouldn't reset this one.... put the rule in the title(if you can) as well as the first post... and keep it there. more people will obey it in time. On the plus side there are already some pretty good results of the rule being made, so just be patient and it should get better with time.

Heeeyy! Nice to see you back!
Hm, Yuna vs. Garnet vs. Penelo... I would have to say Garnet.
Penelo is nothing special. Quickenings are good, but then she's left helpless, and if she's alone, pfft. Not a chance.
Yuna and Dagger are tough to call, though. Both white mages and summoners through and through... Theoretically, Yuna could do anything any other X character could, but canonically, I think it's safe to assume she sticks to that path. Anyway, I think summons in general seem stronger in IX, and Dagger's physical attack isn't quite as pathetic as Yuna's. I contemplated that aeons stay out and fight while eidolons don't, but it's not like Yuna actually disappears when she summons; logically, she's as easy to hit as ever.

Hello all.... how have you been?
While I agree with Raven's agrument about Penelo I don't think Garnet would be able to beat Yuna. Personally I think Yuna's summons are much stronger than Garnet's. While eidolons were powerful in FFIX, to the point where they were an immense military power, Garnet's never seemed that powerful. (maybe she just sucked at summoning or something *shrug*) Meanwhile Yuna's seemed pretty reliable, no matter what the situation so I'd have to go with Yuna on this one.

Here's an official welcome back!
Aeons were much more useful in-game, but I'm assuming eidolons weren't as useful for balancing reasons, so I really don't count that. After all, remember Alexander?

I voted Penelo. I don't see where this "defenseless on her own" mindset came from, because I think she'd do the best fighting on her own.
If I were stuck playing by myself as Yuna, Garnet, or Penelo, I know I'd survive with Penelo. Because, I have in the actual FFXII game. Maybe that's because I made my Penelo kick a**, so I guess it depends on which characters you train/neglect.

Maybe that's because I made my Penelo kick a**, so I guess it depends on which characters you train/neglect.I did sort of ignore her in-game, but the thing about XII is that you really can't tell anything at all from gameplay because everyone's nearly the same. I know the stats differ a bit and whatnot, but essentially you have nothing to go on. Even the Quickenings do pretty much the same for everyone. Penelo would do better than Garnet or Yuna in simple physical fights, I'm sure, but beyond that she doesn't have that much. When I said when she's alone, I meant that Quickenings aren't nearly as useful with a single character, and besides brawn, that's the only thing that seems like it would favor Penelo.

I'll go with Yuna. I honestly don't know anything about Garnet (besides the fact that she's a white mage), so it's kinda between Penelo and Yuna, and while Penelo is really amazing as a mage, I think Yuna's got the upper hand with Aeons.
