Waking a few hours later he moved slightly, still feeling Moya there and smiling. So she had stayed with him. He had been sleeping so deeply he wouldn't have been surprised if she had gotten up and watched tv. Moving carefully he got up, kissing her forehead and letting her sleep as he got the crib upstairs quietly. When he got there he pulled a screwdriver out and started working quietly.

Moya slept for maybe another 2 hours after Nik. She got up slowly and then went upstairs, finding Nik and smiling. "How goes the battle?" She leaned on the door frame and crossed her arms over her stomach.

He looked over when he heard her voice, smiling. "Well, honestly I'm almost done." He was, he only had to put the gate up and move it against the wall. He was right, it matched the room perfectly.

She smiled and walked into the room, looking at the crib. "Its beautiful Nik." She kissed his cheek and looked at the crib again with the other colors in the room. "How long does it take for babies to grow inside the womb?" She already wanted the baby out, to see it start playing in that crib, to play with the toys, and to play with the stuffy she faught for.

After pushing it against the wall he wrapped an arm around her, kissing her back. "Normal babies are born in nine months. Lugaru are usually born in about a month and a half at the most. No one knows why, but we really don't take that long to develop." He had always meant to look into it but even he was guilty of laziness.

Moya smiled and placed her hand on her belly absentmindedly as she looked at the crib. She was glad it wouldn't take long, but still too long for her. There was a growling sound in the room and she blushed deeply. "Sorry."

The growl nearly made him laugh. "Guess I need to feed you a little more often." Taking her hand he led her downstairs to the kitchen, pulling out materials for a grilled cheese sandwich. "The baby will come in its own time Moya. Can't rush it."

"I know." She hopped onto the counter and let her feet swing freely as she watched him. "Honestly Nik, I'm scared of it. I want to play with it, love it, but I'm scared of it."

"That's normal Moya.You may not believe me, but it is. I was around babies all the time, that's why I have no problem. But you were never around kids, were you?" He looked over at her before flipping the first sandwich in the pan, hearing it sizzle and turning the burner down slightly.

"No. I had an older brother, but that was it. Father turned him into a monster before I was able to get out." She looked down at her hands for a moment before looking back up. "I never thought I would have a baby, I thought I would be afraid of other people my whole life."

Too bad you already killed him he thought bitterly as he finished the second sandwich, setting it on a plate and cutting them both diagonally. "Things happen in life that we don't expect. All we can do is keep going on with life and see where it takes us next." He handed her a plate and went to one of the cabinets, pulling out a bag of potato chips to eat with his sandwich before heading to the couch and flipping on Animal Planet for her again.

She got off the counter and sat on the couch as well, putting both her legs on the couch but close to her body as she leaned on one of the arms, placing the plate there. She at her sandwich slowly, not feeling hungry but knew she had to eat. The chips didn't appeal to her, so she never asked for any. When she was done with her sandwich she took the plate back and put it in the sink before grabbing a cup and filling it with water, drinking about half of it before coming back to the couch with it still in her hands. "This baby is going to make me fat, I just know it is."

He had finished his food long before she did, and when she finally spoke he couldn't help but smile. Shaking his head he pulled her over so she was sitting on his lap, still watching the tv as he nuzzled her neck. "I really doubt you could ever be fat, Moya. You're too tiny to get fat, and the most the baby is going to do is cause a bump on your belly." He rubbed his hand over her stomach as he spoke, staying close to her ear so he could speak softly.

Moya smiled and closed her eyes. Even though she had seen what happens to pregnant women from tv, she still wanted to block that out of her head. There was already a lump on her belly, but unless you payed close attention, you wouldn't have noticed it.

He hummed softly as he held her, still rubbing her stomach as he kissed her neck. She was pregnant but he couldn't help the little touches. A kiss, a n**, a small lick to her neck every few moments. He wasn't doing anything bad. "Quit thinking about it, Moya."
