EDIT: Lizzy approached the gator pit slowly. She gripped onto the rope tightly and peered into the pit. Last time one had snagged her by the edge of her baggy pants.
She gulped slightly as the thought Maybe this time I won't be so lucky came across her mind. Her high school teacher did have a point in being a pessimist and he had one time shared his secret as to his choice. Being a pessimist meant you were never really disappointed.
With a deep breath, she swung over and across the obstacle, landing firmly on the ground on the other side. She glanced back to the pit, then let go of the rope to let it swing back to the other side.

Alex jumped off the rope at just the right time and landed on the other side in a sommersault, rolling to a safe spot and ending in a sitting position. She looked back and laughed, sticking her tongue out at the gators. "Not gonna get me again you chainsaws with brains!" She stood up and brushed herself off once more, taking in a few breaths. Alex went and looked at the fourth and final stage, the Beaver Balance. "Dodging seagulls and psycho territorial beavers with pain inflicting tails....interesting...wonder if the Admins thought this one up...or just McLean trying to get revenge...or both...Probably both." Alex took a few breaths and stretched some before surveying the hollow log once more. "Well...better go for it." And with that, she went.

EDIT: The final obstacle for this particular round of the obstacle course had arrived. Though she had met a bit of a snag last time, she still seemed a bit confident about this obstacle.
She made certain to avoid the now gaping hole on the log at the beginning of her path. And just like her first time through the obstacle, she managed to dodge her way around the seagulls. She didn't make it seem like an art or anything, but she was good at narrowly avoiding the gull-blasts.
When she finished, she had been tempted to sit down like she had done before. However, she reminded herself that she needed to now complete this course two more times. So instead of sitting, she remained standing up, leaning over and panting slightly instead to catch her breath.

When she made her way to the sheer clif, she outright gawked at it, forgetting to remain cool. Something about watching her fellow teammates and other campers get blown off the cliff did that to her she supposed. She shook her head and thanked the powers that be for the interns. Their job must suck!
"I just got my nails done before we came to this camp too....Dammit!" Growling under her breath, she approached the base of the cliff and began her arduous climb. At least she was the type that was used to exercise. She doubted some of the others ever did much more than turn the page of a book or press a button on their TV remote controls. Grimacing as one of her nails immediately broke when she dug it into the rock, she hauled herself up there and began to climb. She freaked the first time someone landed on a mine and fell off the cliff. It was one thing to see them fly off from the ground, quite another thing all together when it was close to you. Her heart was racing a mile a minute and she began to second guess herself as she tried to climb a path hopefully clear of explosions.
Edit: She breathed a sigh of relief as she made it through one more challenge with her fur unsinged and her not flying backwards through the air to land on a mattress held by some beleagured intern. Chef was one sick Audio, was all she could think of before trudging off to the next obstacle. She could see some of her cabin mates, like Alex, making it through and she gave a victorious cheer for them. "Way to go, Alex!"

When she saw the next challenge, Kelly really let loose a loud growl. Her stomach flip-flopped when she saw the gators. Normally, she could confidently say she wasn't scared of much but after being chewed on by a gator for the last challenge, she was not looking forward to a repeat performance. "I just got the saliva and whatever else they ate out of my fur! This is disgusting!" She pointed at a random gator, glaring the entire time. "Do not think you're going to chomp me, buster!"
Saying that seemed to bolster her confidence and she made a run for the rope. Letting out scream a la Xena the Warrior Princess, she dove for the rope to swing her across to the other side. 'Please let me make it! Please let me make it!'
Edit: And of course because she wanted it so badly, her paws began to sweat and she could feel herself slipping down the rope. "NoooooooOOOOooooo!"

((Round four, FIGHT!!! ))
Her break wasn't as long as usual, and as a result, she might not do as well this time through. Lizzy trudged her way back to the wire crawl. With a quick dusting of her jacket, she began to crawl through the obstacle on her belly. She didn't even think it would be possible for her to get snagged this time.

EDIT: Unlike the previous times she approached the cliff-side challenge, Lizzy seemed a bit more cautious. Less time had passed, so she remembered in great detail where she had been along the climb. So she cautiously avoided the one side of the cliff and climbed up on the other side. And fortunately, she was able to make it up the side of the cliff without any explosions again.
While she was at the top, she looked down and couldn't help but think about how terrifying the fall must have been near the very top of this obstacle.
...damn... gators are next... she mentally grumbled.

EDIT: Once again, Lizzy approached the gator pit with the pessimistic view. As she grabbed onto the rope, she couldn't help but imagine herself being torn off the rope and being gobbled up by one of the alligators. She gulped in some air, then took another strong swing across the pit. And just like the last time, she managed to make it across with a heavy thud against the ground.
She kept reminding herself she only had to do this particular obstacle one more time.

EDIT: Much like the last time, Lizzy was careful to avoid the gaping hole at the beginning of her log-travels. This time, she managed to make it halfway through the journey before something went wrong. She had once again narrowly avoided being hit by a seagull, when all of a sudden she lost her balance.
If this had been a normal dodge ball court, maybe such would have been fine. However, being on a log made it all the more difficult. Instead, she slipped, landing one leg on the log, the other in the beaver-pit. Which she immediately felt her leg getting slapped silly by beaver tails.
Yelping out a quiet "Ow ow ow!" she quickly pulled her leg out of the pit and attempted to continue on her journey.

Climbing out of the gator pit and making sure to give a strong kick with her hind leg to make sure the gators didn't follow her for a follow-up chomp of her backside, Kelly was pissed. Now she was fired up with determination to make it across without getting eaten...AGAIN. "My clothes are a freakin' mess and I don't even want to know what my hair looks like now."
Straightening her wrinkled, wet, tattered clothing, she hunched over, digging her back paw into the ground to give her better strength for running and got ready to go for that rope once more.
Edit: When she felt her toes touch the other side of the pit, she almost fell forward on her face in relief. Letting go of the rope was harder this time as she had clenched her fist around it hard enough to make a huge indentation in her paw pads. She turned and looked down at the gators, sticking out her tongue in victory.

EDIT: Though she had thought the slight slip-up was a minor set back, she was wrong. In fact, the intern that was manning the gull-gun seemed to know exactly what to do with that slip-up. Lizzy hadn't even the chance to get back completely onto the log when she felt something hit her hard on the back.
Yup, she had been gull'd in the back.

EDIT: Lowering her brow a bit, she finally managed to scramble up the log. It was when she got her footing that she was once more able to go back to her usual routine of dodging the gulls. She hopped off the end of the log-bridge.
One more time. That's all she had left to do was one more run through the course.

Lex pinned its ears back. "I hate this. I hate this so very much." One ping-pong ball hit it in the eye. Lex swore and drew a paw against its face, effectively smearing mud on that side. Didn't look like Lex would be opening that eye too soon...

"You have got to be kidding me!!!!" She looked at the last challenge with wide eyes. It seemed harmless enough at first but when the first seagull got fired, she automatically backed up. Getting one of those in the face or anywhere else on the body did not look like fun to her! "Do those beavers have rabies?" She swore their eyes were glowing red and she was pretty sure from science classes that that wasn't normal.
Gulping, she got on a log, placing her paws on it just so for maximum balance. This part she wasn't too concerned with. She did this for cheerleading a lot and she could do it blindfolded in her sleep. Even the balls weren't a big concern. The slap-happy beavers and gun-shot seagulls? Those were a concern. She started forward, her paws sure and steady....
Edit: And apparently cheerleading practices doing flips and pyramids made balancing a cinch for her, even under the duress of bird-shot and rabies-laden beavers. Several times, seagulls got really close to hitting her and knocking her off, but some fancy footwork and two backflips got her out of it.
She got off the log when she made it across, blowing out a sigh of relief. She stayed to cheer any of her other teammates on, even disregarding that she wasn't her normal pristine self.

Trying to climb a cliff without depth perception was harder than one would think. Twice, Lex misjudged the distance between handholds and nearly fell. One camper activating a land mine not two feet from it didn't help much... Oddly, there was no sense of triumph when Lex reached the top.
