Alunn leaned over, feeling the woman's pulse on the side of her neck. He then took his foot off her back and picked her up. "You have replenished enough blood to survive, so I will take you back, okay?"

"Alright, we can take a break." Shinn said to Shera, nuzzling her gently. "It'll grow back to normal soon, Shera. It happened to me a lot, before my claws hardened." He told his sister, which was quite true, he had lost quite a few when he had been training to hunt.
Azrael nodded and lowered himself, respectfully. "I would like to be up there with you. We will share the responsibility. It will be easier with both of us, I hope. And it is good that Kayla is here, we have someone who can mediate these discussions." Azrael said, smiling slightly. "I will have to go get them, I told them to go wait outside the Long House, we should get set up in there before we get them."

Feeling was beginning to return to Canor, but between the venom and the cold it was hard to tell. He could only tell by a tingling sensation, akin to his limbs having fallen asleep simultaneously. He had some rudimentary control over his movement, but it wasn't much, mostly his shoulders and his neck, though was still to stunned between the monsters and the fading after-echo of fear from that brief battle. The three other soldiers were helping to move him so he was lying on his back, but the current lack of feeling and control only made him feel like awkward, dead weight to them.

"I-I will do my best sir but I fear I am not very good with negotiations. What I did earlier was a desperate gamble to keep both sides from making a rash decision in the moment of hostility." Kayla said keeping her head down slightly to avoid eye contact as they moved. "Your words are to kind sir but I am honored by them still."

Elizabeth nodded and sighed. It seemed she really had no say in the matter. She shrunk away from his cold hand as it touched the bear skin of her neck. She mumbled a soft, "Thanks," but it bore with it an angry tone. Her arms folded over her chest and she began to pout.
Shera stepped away from the circle and went over to the spot where her mother had lay moments before. It was still warm. She lay down and began to lick at her paw. Her eyes looked off towards the tunnel and she wondered what was being discussed there.

Miluiel nodded, glad that her husband would be there with her. "Okay darling." She said softly. "Let us go then, we should not keep them waiting, that could possibly just create more tension." She warned. Miluiel's kind, motherly eyes turned to Kayla, "Dear, you will do wonderfully, I know it. Don't worry about it, alright?"

Alunn felt her shrink from his touch and adjusted how he held her to keep his skin from hers. She felt light in his hands, almost like a child. "What is your name? In all the excitement I forgot my manners. Alunn Blaƫw is my own, though you probably don't care."

Azrael nodded and started to move toward the entrance to the Long House. "Come, we should get things started now. I will take my other form later, once everything is set and we can begin. As of right now though, they would only recognize me in this one. I'd rather show them, rather than explain. There are other things that need discussing first.
Shinn left the group as well and sat down next to Shera, comfortingly. He nuzzled her gently to remind her that he would always be there for her, and began to scratch at his ear. He knew it wasn't fleas or anything like that, because the healers regularly checked for them, and had ways to make the annoying little bugs go away, at least for a certain period of time.

"Elizabeth." The girl said to her vampire captor and she looked away from him out towards the forest. "Why did you do it?" She asked softly after a moment of silence. "Why did you attack us and take me away? Were you really that needy?" There was a tough of emotion in her words, whether it be nerves or something else one could not be sure.
Miluiel nodded, that seemed to make perfect sense. As they walked along she morphed into her elf form. Her long hairy, wolf body lengthened even more. Her entire body seemed to thin before she walked along on two long legs. Her body was swathed in lengthy hide, which wound its way around her slim figure. The color of the hide was the same as her fur, and she strode forward with the proud air her husband bore in his current form. "That sounds good my dear. I do hope this meeting will go well for both sides. I would hope there need not be any conflict." She said softly with a slight accent of an elvish style that was often lost to her when she was in a much hairier form.

Shera watched her brother and nodded, "Yes, we will always be there for each other, Shinn." She agreed and rested her head upon her paws. "I just hope that neither mum nor pop are in trouble is all. I felt better when mama was down here with us, but papa has taken her back." She whined softly, and eventually broke open with a large yawn.

"Vampires, were originally humans, though worshippers of what many see as a Dark God. Through a long story, a man became the first of our kind of vampire, his love the first Blood Mate. While we don't completely need blood to live, if we go to long without it, we start to devolve into non-sentient beasts. From there, it is just all downhill, until we become animated diseased bodies. From there, a simple touch would send a human down the same path. That, and I try to avoid violence. Unfortunately, I ran out of blood packets, and the loss of blood tends to bend my personality. I only meant to drain a little of you and that man's blood, leaving enough that you could easily get up and walk away, but I was interrupted. I sincerely apologize for all this" Alunn explained as he carried her. He stopped for a minute, trying to sniff the air, before cursing slightly.

"I see, so you just lost control of yourself." She said shortly. She opened her mouth to make another comment, something about his weakness as a soldier if he couldn't control something that seemed so simple, but she thought better of it. She was not sure how he would react to it.
The sudden vulgar words of the vampire startled Elizabeth. "What's going on?" He asked. A new expression filled her face, something akin to skeptical concern. What was with this guy? What would make him react that way?

Alunn looked at her apologetically. "I kind of, forgot how to take you back to your camp, I didn't realize how far I ran, and this isn't exactly where I live, so I don't know the terrain well enough. I know the general direction, but in terms of specifics I am lost. I really am new to many things, so I'm terribly sorry about the control issues. So, um, if there is anything you recognize on our way back, it would help."

Logain stepped forward into the sight of Alunn, and the young woman he had brought along with him. "I believe that I can provide that assistance to you. More importantly, I believe that your comrades would be best served if they know you are alive and well." He said to Elizabeth as he stepped into sight. Logain turned and bowed to Alunn apologetically. "I do not mean to intrude, my friend. I wanted to make sure that you were alright."
Azrael slowed his stride so that he was at pace with Kayla, so that she would not accidentally take a wrong turn as they made their way to the Long House. "We shall be back above ground soon. Hopefully an agreement can be reached, something to keep them from prying too far into the forest."

Shinn sighed. "I know. I feel kinda the same way." He told his sister. "I wish I were older, so that I could do something to help them out." Shinn confided, stretching his arms, and looking at the cavern path that they had walked off into.

"What!?" Elizabeth half shouted. After a deep sigh she tried hard to calm herself. She raised her hand to her head and pushed her fingers into her hair. "Well could you start by setting me down? Perhaps then I could find out way back." The woman sighed.
She jumped in Alunn's arms, however, when the voice of another creature startled her. She looked around quickly, her hair following the rest of her head as it whipped around her shoulder, probably smacking some part of Alunn's upper body. "You know where my comrades are!?" Elizabeth asked, once again irritated that she was not standing on her feet.

Miluiel nodded in agreement. "Yes my dears. It won't be long." She said and sighed softly.

"Do you think that we could follow them and find some way to help them Shinn?" Shera asked with a tone of hope.

"You are the one I would mind the least Logain, you are the first friend I have made outside of my 'Grace', and that is no small feat, what with the rumors spread of my kind poisoning the minds of others." Alunn replied. He set Elizabeth down gently. "If you could take her back to her comrades, I don't think they would be very accepting of me, though you on the other hand would deal with them better. I- I think I might soon depart from here, I wish to see what is happening in Bedaious, I get a bad feeling whenever I hear of the place." Alunn ran his hand along his guitar, grimacing at the crack in it. He waited patiently, the elder shade soon joining with his shadow. "If you could express my apologies to your friend, and I wish you happiness in your life." Alunn then turned and began walking away.

Kayla looked away as the transformation from wolf to elf took place. Somehow it seemed like peeping even if it was natural for them. This momentary distraction almost got her lost in the strangely formed tunnels but thankfully the two of them were always in sight and soon they would be back outside assuming they used the same entrance in to get out.
Kayla was doing her best to keep up with the couple as their wide strides seemed to slow now and there to keep her along. She did not talk much instead trying to think about what to say to those armored men. She managed to stop a large blood shed but could her luck be that good that she could keep things smooth?

Logain nodded to Elizabeth. "Yes, I can guide you to them." He told her reassuringly. "Things should calm down once you are back with them, though I sense that the situation is currently under control, if still tense." Logain's gaze turned to Alunn, who had bidden a good-bye and was walking away. "Just a moment, Miss. Wait a moment Alunn!" He ran to Alunn, and rested a hand gently on his friend's shoulder. "I can't make you stay, and in all truth I share the same belief that what goes on in Bedaious should be investigated. Despite all that, however, it would pain me just to see off in such a manner. Here," Logain reached into his garments and retrieved an ornate clasp, on a chain, which bore the image of a dragon's wing crossed over a shield, and held it out to Alunn, "take this. This will allow us to keep in contact, after a fashion. If you ever need, or want to get a note or letter to me, hold it in the air and the way to send a message will become clear. It works best in above-ground in the open air, but it can be used in just about any environment. Oh, and if you are ever in a land called Heldiam and need anything, show that clasp and everything you might need will be provided to you."
He smiled faintly before continuing. "Though Bedaious seems to be our prime candidate for these unusual events, that other nation, Saidous I think it was called, should be looked into as well. Should everything go well, I intend to be on my way to Saidous not long after you've made headway to Bedaious. So perhaps this parting will not be so long. I wish you luck, my friend. May the skies watch over your journey, and may your inquiry bear fruit." He told Alunn, his voice full of warmth, yet tinged with the regret of parting.

Shinn thought about it for a moment and then nodded. "Yeah! We should try to find some way to help them... but I don't think we'd get very far if we follow too close, we'd just wind up back here." He lowered his voice to a low whisper in Shera's ear. "We should go up from the trap-door at the house. We should go when we're sure that no one is watching. Think of it as stalking practice, cuz' you're not supposed to be noticed while stalking. And if we can sneak successfully, I'm sure they'll all be real impressed." Shinn was excited, kicked into high gear now that he had found some action to take.

Azrael nodded and saw that they were coming up to the trap-door that opened into the Long House, where they would be having their meeting. When they got to the exit, he moved up to the trap-door, peaked out of it, and then pushed it open for Miluiel and Kayla. "The step up into the Long House is high, but there are foothold on the cave wall to help boost you up inside." He informed Kayla.
