>D Hahah, the spring and summer shall be full of boys at this point. But honestly, it's been quite awhile since any have been born in this group. Close to a year, I think?

Yeah, I think the fall and winter crops of babies were all girls. xd It'll be great to have some boys join the ranks.

Hooray! It's always fun to know who's coming along.
And poor Luna - I think it's cute that he wants to help, but how mortifying for him to tell everyone that you barf...
^_^
Tuesday is my first NST and ultrasound in the hospital, and I'll be having them every week from here on out. They want to make sure everything is ship-shape and doesn't change on us (my heart has been doing weird things this pregnancy, and though my BP is good, the doctor wants it CONSTANTLY checked to make sure it doesn't go up).

ello ello ello..wow its nice to see all the updates and how close everyone is getting! It seems like this pregnancy is sailing by which is a change from the first which just seemed to drone on and on and on. In my own little part of the world things are ok. Ive finally started to show and strech and oh god can i feel it! I think i may have actually gained a lb or so..eventhough my mom and fiance dont think so. Here goes our convo TIM~"whos shirt is that hun?" ME~ "o.O ...um mine " TIM~"huh i could have sworn it was too tight before " ME~"seems fine now ..." ...annoying pause... MY MOM "well not to be mean but your body...even your belly seems smaller and more toned now than before you were pregnant" ME~"oh so i was just a fat blob before is that it?!?!" ~~evil hormone rampage~~~ WHOLE FAMILY "your beautiful o.o;; .....we love you" xD ..i have to admit even though i have a noticable baby bump all my prepregnancy clothes still fit well especially now that mybump has moved up a bit. I suppose its a good thing ..but it still hurt and hormones dont help. And i have found a way to combat my morning sickness if i drink an ensure healthy mom shake asap ..like get outta bed and run to fridge lol it really help with the whole acid and puking thing. Iguess its because of the milk and protein in it or something i dont care it works rofl im getting all nervy too cause the wedding and us are comming so fast. anyone know anything that helps with swelling and water retention? my puffy feet would appreciate it..although i think its just mainly from being on them cooking cleaning doing laundry and running afteran almost 4 year old all day ..ya'll know how it is.

Oy, today was horrible. I seem to be snapping at everyone and I haven't been able to really hold anything down except maybe crackers and just barely. No way I was even thinking about staying home from work today though. Hubby's not working at the moment and he's having a rough time finding a job. I wake up in the middle of the night a lot more now, that is if I'm nothaving trouble sleeping. At least I'm off from work for the weekend. Maybe I can actually get some rest this time. sweatdrop

Ugh, I'm finally starting to get rid of morning sickness. So I'm gettig to eat normal food now. Which is good.
I bought that book "What to Expect When You're Expecting"......I feel ike I'm doing everything wrong. I feel very guilty when I read that book. Like, I'm already screwing up as a mom.

That IS a major downside of that particular book. My advice, read the developmental sections and skim the questions but for the love of all things IGNORE THAT DAMN DIET and the sections on potential problems. You'll go into fits thinking your baby will be born with a hump or something because you ate ketchup. gonk
Just use common sense and you'll be fine.

Good advice Dirge!! I also read that book and it made me feel the same way as Hikari. It is still a really good book in a lot of aspects but I agree with you on the diet and problems sections!!

Oh god THAT book. I remember being pregnant the first time and reading all those worst case scenarios.
One book I haven't gotten, but I've heard such wonderful things about is A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. Supposed to be straight forward.
Had a huge craving for McD's fries and I depise all things McDonald's.

whee They're quite the fave among preggo ladies.
From the reviews I've read on the GF's guide to pregnancy, it's not bad but it's never been revised so the maternity fashions part is out of date from the early 90's and some feel it's a bit too self-absorbed on the author, others love it. So it might be a less scary alternative to consider. 3nodding Because WTEWYE is pretty infamous for scary the begeesus out of pregnant women. But it's developmental sections are very good.

Girlfriend's Guide Isn't particularly informative. And it's really more focused on what this one woman did or did not do/follow during her pregnancy.
There ARE a lot of myths out there.
Try "The Panic-Free Pregnancy" - by Michael S. Broder.
It breaks down WHY certain things are bad and good for the science of it.
Like why you CAN eat rare meat, sushi, and drink eggnog (Because none of those carry Listeria which is the ONLY food poisoning to cross the placenta).

Oh, I haven't heard of that one before but it sounds like a much better alternative. WTEWYE doesn't ever really explain a lot of things, like why they don't like the idea of you eating hotdogs. [which thanks to Nopen here, I found out was because they can carry listeria and if you don't heat them up until steaming is when they're an issue.] Knowing why things work the way they do is more then half the battle, I think.

10 more days to go...and I found out today that if I want and am physically able to, I may only have to be in the hospital for 2 days instead of the 3 I was worried about.
