Luna blinked and tilted her head upwards as she sniffed the air. A peculiar scent hovered around the area. Blood, she realized with a bark. A fight occurred in MY woods without my permission OR participation?! she thought angrily.
She practically galloped into the clearing where she sensed the blood. If she were just a regular domesticated canine and not a cousin of the species, she'd most likely be foaming at the mouth what with the thoughts roaming her mind.
Her head snapped in the blood's direction. At first, a hummingbird flew across her head. But after she shook off the annoying little creature's presence, she seemed to gasp at the sight before her. ..Ialo! she called in her mind. She began whining as she trotted over to his body. She sniffed him and tried to lick off his wounds.
Apparently a werewolf's saliva was able to not only clean, but heal the wounds just as fast the werewolf itself can heal. She missed a few points, but Luna licked the areas on Ialo's body that was both critical and uncovered.
Oh, Ialo. She lifted him with her nose and threw him up into the air. He fell on her back without any pain and then she began to run further from the school.
I need to let him rest, I need to let him rest.. she repeated in her mind. So, obviously, Luna headed for the only place a wolf's mind knows where to rest.
And that place was inside a certain cave near a certain cliff.

Danni, who's lack of energy forced her to return to her normal human form for a bit, glanced at Kai out of the corner of her eye. "This, in case you couldn't tell from their markings, is the Demon King's official guard. I'm supposed to die because I've officially been presented with the sword of the Ancients. We're just busy...discussing our thoughts about me being the Demon King's next throw rug." She said, barely dodging Arzol in his bear form.

The remaining demon, who'd watched in horror as the other was trapped by the alchemist, went into action, muttering a curse and disappearing into the shadows. Now that he was unseen, he was bold enough to do a spell. The next thing anyone knew, there was a bright red light connecting to Danni's chest, and it seemed to search out everyone else, Danni's light connecting to the others. It was like a string, stemming from Danni and moving out to everyone, even the demons.

"Oh, s**t." Danni muttered, even as Arzol turned back into his human/demon form, chuckling darkly. "Quite right, Shadow Runner. I suppose you know of the Hell's Heart Strings?" He said, looking down at the red light seeming to pierce his own heart. "Great job, Lars." He said, adn the demon who'd disappeared came back into view, a light through his own chest.

There was a light on everyone that connected to Danni. Shintero, Kai, Athena, Lia, Cook, Ambrose, even the demons. "For those of you who are not familiar with this handy curse, I'll tell you what it does. You may not want to move, or little Shadow Runner here may pay dearly for it." He said, then pointed to the light in Danni's chest that the others stemmed out from.

"This red energy beam has wrapped itself around Shadow Runner's hears and other vital organs, has twined with her veins. These have in turn shot out to all of us, connecting our bodies with hers. So whatever pain is inflicted on one of us, it will be switched to her instead. Observe." He said, and took out his knife, slicing it across his palm. Instead of him bleeding, a gash opened up in Danni's hand, seeped blood onto the ground.

Ambrose barely held himself back from going after the damned demon, and everyone could hear Cook grinding his teeth. "The energy beams connecting us are unbreakable, and the only way to break the curse is to kill the one who cast it. Of course, if you kill Lars, that will in turn kill young Shadow Runner, which was our origional purpose anyway. If any of us, or are supposed to, it will be her instead that pays the price. Tell me, mortals: What will you do now?" He asked, bending his own finger back at an impossible angle. Instead of it snapping, Danni's did, and she pulled in a quick breath, clutching at her hand.

With no warning, Arzol raised his knife, and plunged it into his side. Danni cried out, doubling over in pain, but stayed on her feet. But she couldn't control the bleeding. "You don't have much time to decide, I'm afraid. A pity, the girl's only crime was being stronger than us. But she was sentenced to die for being a threat. Well, all's fair, and all that." He said, carrying on as though Danni weren't dying a few feet behind him.

Shintero had decided to watch the battle for it seems his help was not neededs that is until everyone was attached by the red lights. "I have to find a way to break this light with out hurting Danni." He whispered to himself. With out even giving an order to his spell the dragon lifted one of its claws but instead of swiping at one of the demons the claws seemed to turn into 5 writhing snakes that shot forward and wraped around azols arms and legs preventing him from causing pain to Danni through himself. "Well well well looks like my spell here is full of surprises. Hmmm i wonder." He thought for a few seconds and then suddenly thrusted his hand into the dragons head. For those who could see him it appeared as if he was trying to get something from inside the head of the dragon. "Come on theirs has to be somethi...." He paused as he hands brush agaisnt something solid. "What could this be." He grabed the object and tried to pull it out but found some resistance as if it didnt want to come out. A little bit irriated he put all his strength into it and gave it a yank and it came free quite easily which surprised him. Though because he used all his strength it practicaly came flying out sending him flying onto the back of his dragon and when he looked at what he had he had a great sword the was pure black. "What the heck is this sword?" He stood up and raised the sword and surprising found that it was quite light. with out a second thought he swung the sword at the light that attached him to the others.

Ialo opened his eyes after he was on the wolf's back. Instantly, he recognized her as Luna. Hell, he didn't even have to open his eyes to know that. And he didn't have to open his eyes to know there was big trouble down at the school either. He sat up, and leaned over, whispering in her ear. "Thank you Luna. But I have to go back. There's a jackass who's trying to bring Hell to my students, and I'm not going to take it." After a moment, he jumped off. "If you remember anything about me, you'll certainly remember how fast I get back up after I'm healed." He turned to leave, planning to disappear in a whirlwind. He was probably going to leave an obvious trail though, in case she wanted to follow him.

Maybe his face didn't give it away, but he was pissed beyond pissed.

As Shintero's blade came down on the light, it seemed to crackle with an electric current, and Danni's whole body writhed in pain. Arzol, still kept down by the bonds, laughed like a madman. "Did I not warn you it was unbreakable? Even dark magic swords such as that are no match against it. Now you've gone and caused unnecesary pain to Shadow Runner...On second thought, please continue." He said, as Danni fell down to her knees, grasping at her side as her body spasmed fromthe electric shock.

"O-Ok. N-New deal, Sh-Sh-Shintero. N-No cutting strange g-glowing objects if th-they're attached to m-me." Danni said, stuttering because the volts were interfering with her thought process. Somehow she managed to get back up on her feet, her body shuddering. She hacked, spat out blood to Arzol's immense satisfaction.

"God damn it! Izzy!" Ambrose called out, and Danni raised her head, gritting her teeth. "Sorry, bro. You were never supposed to...see me...not like this...not ever." She said, shaking her head. To be the dark stain in a family of protectors and white magic users...She didn't need her family witnessing her mistakes, her shame. Or her death, if it came down to that.

If her eyebrows were conspicuous, it would be obvious that they were pulled together with insult. That.. a*****e! she screamed in her mind.
She whirled around before he even left her sight and leaped until she was in front of him. She barked at him, an order for him to halt.
A red haze grew around Luna as she lifted herself on her two feet once again, which was new to Ialo but to her, it felt as natural as can be.
Speaking of natural, it was naturally natural to have shredded the previous clothing she had on her body as she transformed into her little demon.
So Luna stood before Ialo, fuming with rage and a feeling of disrespect, completely in the nude.
Not even her newly grown hair covered the unspeakable areas of the beautifully carved woman's body. She stomped towards the silver-haired man, her own hair flowing gently behind her. It contrasted greatly with the tone of her voice. She lifted a strict finger and began pointing at him, greatly confused and for some reason, becoming aroused by his behavior.
"How dare you not only have the indecency to tell me what the hell is going on, but you have the nerve to just LEAVE ME HERE all by myself when you know very well I don't have a damn clue about anything anymore. My memories may be coming back to me, but they're taking their sweet a** time to get to me, so if you don't explain to me everything that is going on or that has happened since I lost my memory AND the reason WHY I cannot remember anything, then I will have your genitals stapled on my wall, Ialo Livius Enlil."
She exhaled loudly and folded her hands as her hip slightly tilted to one side, giving the impression that she was impatient with him.
She began wanting to laugh inside. The Luna in Ialo's memory rarely cursed and she was one of the purest souls to him. Then again, he did once say she had a hidden fire..

Stopping dead in his tracks, Ialo stared at Luna. First at her blazing blood-red eyes. Then at the finger waving threateningly at him. The his gaze shot back to her face. And slowly, slowly, his eyes, defying the orders of his brain, went south, his face turning ever-increasing shades of red. He choked, unable to say anything for a moment. When at last he was able to wrench his gaze back to her face, he hald a hand up to block her, uh, body, from view.

"...Thanks but no thanks?" he offered in a small voice. He took a breath, and all he had to do was think about Riser for his strength to come back. His voice was loud and commanding. "No, you listen here, Miss I-think-I'm-a-Princess. Unless you can suddenly remember how to fight dark magic or have anything useful to offer, I am not taking you anywhere near a fight. As far as I'm concerned, you are dead weight, better off in whatever little world you've been living in for the past five years!" He had unconsciously stepped forward, crossing his arms and staring down at her. "The day you try to stop me is that day you DIE."

Right on cue, as if to ruin the rage of the moment, a tug came at Ialo's sleeve. He looked down to see a small red headed child, chewing on the end of his other sleeve.
"Where's brother...He said he was with you..."

Several black feathers lofted down from above.

She looked up into his eyes without even flinching for his entire speech. As he came to his threatening close, her face hardened as she pulled a hand back and slapped Ialo across the face with a loud PLAT! Her hand extended again, her fingers gripping hard against his jaw. Her voice became calm and low. "Never threaten me, Ialo. If you wish to kill me," she dared, tearing her grip off from his face and stepping back. She raised her arms, as if offering herself. "Then fight me now, if I'm even worth the time of a mediocre business man." she retorted, remembering Ialo's success while going through his memories through the glove.
She gave a small, "Hmph," and waited.

((Yes, finally finished the profile for Cook. Seemed I should actually get around to that...))

Ambrose didn't know what to do, and he looked anxiously at Cook, who stood next to him. "You feel that too?" He asked, lifting his chin towards Danni, and Cook nodded. "Oh yeah, you bet your a** I do." He said in a whisper, then let out a frustrated breath. What they both felt was a radical decrease in dark energy, and it sure as hell wasn't any of the demons. Danni was fading away, little by little, and eventually she'd either bleed out or just fade off into Kingdom Come.

"Listen here, boy. That girl's the closest thing to a daughter I have, and I won't lose her. I'm fresh out of ideas that won't kill her, so start churning up those brain juices or something." Cook said fiercely, and Ambrose looked at him for a moment.

"She has a father already, Cook." He said in a low voice, knowing he was getting off topic but for some reason caught up in the other man's words for a moment. "Oh, I know. Me and the little one talk for hours. This father of yours, who sent her off with you and your sister, even though she went in and begged him on her hands and knees not to make her go to the 'mainland' as she calls it. He obviously didn't care, but I do. I'm looking out for her now, when your old man is hundreds of miles away. Now think, boy, and we'll argue later." He said, effectively ending that conversation.

Lin had investigated enough. The only thing she could determine was that this Ialo person seemed to be at the center of everything that was going on. She had seen him briefly when she first arrived at school earlier that day. Everyone seemed concerned about him, and he was the one that was hurt.

She thought about following the wolf and Ialo, but it was late and she didn't know when she might transform back into her normal form. So, once again, she flew off in the direction of the school.

It was a good thing she had made the decision that she did because as soon as she was hovering near the side of the school, she felt a tug in her stomach and she proceeded to turn back to her Elvin form. It was almost as if the power that had changed her before had sensed her task done and changed her back.

She sighed deeply and then simply shrugged slightly. She could not analyze this properly until she had a good night's rest and could think clearly. But then her stomach growled and she remembered that she had not eaten since lunch. She'd best do that before trying to sleep.

So, she walked to the cafeteria and was thankful to see the salad bar was still open. That was what she wanted to eat, anyway. Elves mainly only ate fruit, vegetables, nuts, things that came from trees and bushes.

She made a large salad with almonds and berries on it and then sat down at a table to eat it. She was slow at eating because she took very small bites, as proper ladies were supposed to do at her school, and chewed slowly.

Kai looked at the light attached to his chest, and poked it a bit "yeah I know this curse nasty buissness. they say angels and really powerfull pretection mages can counter this. luckly ... I'm an angel, and sorry danni this is gonna hurt." his wing appeared on his back again but this time both white. "I hate this part" a yellow glow ingulfed him then quickly dimmed revealing Kai's female angelic form.
(sorry I haven't had time to work on anything lately, and yes Kais voice changes)
"ok first one to laugh is the first one to die" Kai Pulled a raiper from It's sheath "hope you don't mind a bit of white magic" Kai said sighing.

"Hurt? No problem. Can't fell my left side anymore anyway." She said, attempting a grin and ending up with a pained grimace. "Ah, womanly figure joke...I get it now...Get the white magic over with before I disgrace myself by either dying or fainting. Neither one very desirable." She added, already having no choice but to sink to her knees as the glow from Kai weakened her dark magic that she was still able to hold onto.

Ialo snarled, putting his hand to where Luna slapped him. Rather than answering her, he looked down to the boy tugging at his sleeve. "I don't know," he apologized, before turning his wrath back on Luna. "No," he said angrily. "You aren't worth my time. If you want answers, ask someone else or talk to me later, when I'm not trying to stop students from dying." With that, he took a step back, tearing his sleeve from the boy's grip. "Do. Not. Ever. Stop me," he told her again. With that, he forcibly teleported away, and arrived right behind Arzol.

"GO AWAY." He couldn't stop the curse on his arm from flaring up a bit, and darkening his aura.

(((Oh...um...ok. Please tell me you're serious, because this post...yeah...))

As Danni looked at Kai's angel form, she clutched weakly at her side that was still gushing blood that pooled around her. And when suddenly the demon who'd started the curse brought up a blade, he plunged it into his own heart, then sliced it across his throat. Danni gasped out as she fell to the ground, spread eagle in a pool of her own blood.

Despite the slice in her neck, she was still somewhat alive. She managed to turn to Lia and Ambrose, who'd cried out when the demon had acted. She opened her mouth, spitting out blood, and tried to speak. Though it seemed as though she were shouting, in reality she was barely speaking above a whisper. "I'm...s-sorry...I d-didn't want y-you...to see...my n-nightmares...Ev-" The blood splashing out of her heart and throat was finally too much, and her vision was edged in gray.

The last thing she saw was Ambrose and Cook running towards her, fear and horror in their eyes. "S-sorry..." Her final word was an apology. For anything and everything she'd ever done wrong, every time she'd disappointed them or couldn't be what they wanted. Then, with a final beat of her ruined heart, she was still, and her eyes glazed over, dull and sightless.

"No! NO!!!!! Danni!!!!!!" Ambrose ran over as the strange red light disappeared from the chests of everyone. He fell to his knees beside his sister, Cook getting on the other side of her. He almost wretched at hte sight of her, cut up and bleeding, her eyes staring unseeingly up at them. "No, you can't die!" Lia suddenly ran up, tears runnign down her face that for once weren't calculated to get sympathy. "Isadora Danni Rinaldi, don't you dare die on me! You can't die! Wake up, right now!" She shook her sister's leg, but there was no reaction, only the disturbing stillness of her chest, the lack of light or spark in her eyes.

"NO! God Damn it, little one, open your eyes. Start that heart back up." Cook began giving her mouth to mouth, knowing it was useless but unable to comprehend the fact that his baby girl was dead. Dead.

Arzol let out a laugh then, braking free of his bonds, and chuckled darkly. "Shadow Runner is destroyed. Very good job, Lars. Our work is done. You can keep the corpse, it's worthless now." With a wave of his hand, Arzol and the others disappeared, and the storm ceased suddenly, leaving only the sound of Lia's sobs, Ambrose's pleads, and Cook forcing his breath into Danni's slit throat...
