The realm was blank until Anu arrived while waiting for his opponent he start making some change in the natural landscape of the realm and started eveloping the realm in his own "body" and where the he originally stood was now a small dark tower that looked very strange like it was made out of some kind of jet black cable.
Ryudo and Anu arrived almost exactly at the same time into this world of thought. This was an odd place indeed. Strength here was not determined by muscles, how could it be? In this place, the mental projections of one's true self were seen. Reguardless of what form the beings took in the physical realm, they would appear as their minds saw them. Strength, then, was based on emotions and feelings. The will to do.

As Ryudo arrived, he would appear as he was in the physical realm, however, one thing was noticaby different. His shadow was not that of a human being, but that of a large and powerful creature, one feared by man and beast alike, the form of a dragon. His human form looked slightly different as well. His eyes were glowing red, and two dark streaks ran from his forehead to his cheeks. His teeth were sharper and more animal like.

He then moved his arm foreward and shot a blast of dark energy towards Anu's form before it could even try to envelop the area.

The black cable like things lashed out like thosand of whips as Anu was trying to knock the blast right back at Ryudo and as for the shadow Anu had no reason to fear it for it((Anu this time)) was neither man nor beast.

A wicked grin crossed Ryudo's features as his little blast was smashed to pieces by the many whips. But never fear. As the whiplike cables lashed out at Ryudo, his eyes flashed a brighter shade of red, and his left arm exploded from under his garments, revealing an arm that was far from being human in any aspect. And at the end, three claws with one opposing came from it. Ryudo's right arm then swung around, dark purple energy flowing around the arm and claws alike. The energy then leapt from the claws and scliced the whiplike cables to pieces...

How was Ryudo able to do this? He was inherently, a shadow dragon, and in this place, emotions and will, as well as a mental perception of oneself were vital to winning a battle. Ryudo simply charged his arm with psychic energy and envisioned his dragon claws cutting the cables to ribbons. The self inside the mind realm then let loose with the odd transformation and the powerful claw attack. Ryudo wasn't as easy as thin thin body suggested...

Thanks to the flooding of his mind with ryudo's thoughts now all of ryudo's knowladge was added to his own and he then knew what to expect and how he was going to deal with it.
what remained of the cables reformed and was added on two until to gigantic versions of ryugi's hand were formed and they strenched out and started queezing ryudo to death.

If only Anu wasn't so inexperienced with dealing with fighters, he might come to understand some things. Number one, Ryudo had indeed sent MEMORIES into Anu's mind, but not moves and or strategies. Any information Anu thought he might have on Ryudo was false at best. Secondly, he might have assumed that Ryudo would stand still and allow himself to be wrapped up by these massive black claws, however, he was highly mistaken.

As the claws moved towards him, Ryudo jumped backwards at a high velocity where he landed about thirty feet away, his jump aided by his psychic abilities. Now out of range of the claws, Ryudo decided to try something different. His massive dragon shadow also acted as a portal to the shadow realm, the place where his servant, Lethe, existed.

Lethe, it looks like I'm going to need your help with this one...

Understood Master, I shall do my best to help you eliminate this foe...

With those words, a massive blast of dark energy flew from the dragon shadow. The blast soon subsided however, revealing a dark black creature that stood on two legs. It was powerful looking to say the least. Glowing white eyes, two horns off the back of its head, poweful arms and legs, a large black tail, and two decent sized wings could all be seen. With the emergence of Lethe, Ryudo now had the ability to use both Dark abilities and psychic abilities at the same time, rather than only one at a time. Hopefully his opponent could deal with two...

Anu wasn't scared he hardly was if his opponent was going to call out his pet so would he. Anu watched as his Pet Jackal magical symbiote came forth from it's((anu's)) and then he compressed his own form down to regular size in which he turned back to his normal form for a couple of seconds beforing merging with his pet and turned into what could only be described as some strange mix of man and Jackal. They still had a Jet black body made out of the same stuff, but they're speed, strength and senses had been increased. They then preceded to run right at the creature, then dive on it and finally tear it's flesh with an onslaught of scratches from they're claws.

((Dammit boy! Grammar, punctuation marks, CAPITALIZATION!! Please for the love of God and all that is Holy make use of them!))

Ryudo could only laugh as his opponent(s) charged Lethe and attempted to "tear into his flesh". However, they would have a very interesting surprise awaiting them, for Lethe had no flesh to tear. As the merged pair collided with Lethe and began trying to disembowel him, Lethe wrapped his powerful arms around the beast, holding it to his form. Then, suddenly, hundreds of spikes jutted out from Lethe's body and arms, impaling the merged beast like a sick impression of a porcupine.

In the meantime while Lethe held the merged jackal beast, and impaled them with spikes, Ryudo used his psychic powers to create his classic anti magic "barrier" around his opponent. This technique would allow no magic or elemental abilities to be used by the merged beast to guard or protect against Lethe's assault. Now one might wonder how Lethe was able to use magic while this barrier was in effect. To be quite honest, Ryudo's mind could tell the difference between Lethe's magical and elemental abilities, and his opponents, meaning he could safely use the barrier without it having any negative effect on his servant.

The attack was painfull and it cause several holes in they''re body , but they wouldn''t give and since they''re powers were of course neither magical or elemental he could just simply run right through the pathetic thing and then continued his onslaught of scratches and he would follow that by uppercutting Lethe then sweep kicking him to knock him on his feet which he did.

There was one small problem with the Jackal thing's plan. How could it perform all of these moves while still being impaled with spikes and held in place by Lethe? It was simple, unless Anu wanted to rip himself and his pet apart by trying to struggle against Lethe's powerful grip and the spikes sticking out from all over his body, he would have to stay right where he was. Lethe wasn't going anywhere, and in essense, neither were Anu and his pet.

Ryudo, his barrier having no effect on the creature, disipated the force, and instead began charging energy for more powerful attacks. All the while Lethe kept producing more spikes that branched off from the larger spikes, like some sort of tree. They kept digging further into Anu's merged body, and holding him even more still. Ryudo grinned and spoke.

Well then... Do you accept defeat...creature?

Falling forward into a half tumble, he came to a halt, panting and out of breath, as he looked behind him. One minute he'd been racing through the streets, and the next everything got blurry and then bright... Where...?

Glancing upwards, Vahn notticed a distinct pressure in heat, and what was in front of him confirmed it. The Fang was impaled within the floor, just a mere 5 feet in front of him. In it's normal rapier form, both the Fang and sheath lay there.

"What luck, I don't have to go out of my way to get you!" He propped himself up, and began walking forward, getting the kinks out of his shoulder.

As soon as Vahn's foot touched to the ground after the first step, the air between him and the Fang was cleaved by the edge of a great sword that struck from seemingly nowhere. The heavy blade crashed downwards into the surface of the stone platform upon which Vahn had found himself, cutting a four foot swath within it before coming to a stop but a foot or so from the Fang; lodging it into the ground in much the same way that the Fang had been.

Two hands grasped the hilt of it, one upon the haft and the other resting atop the butt of the hilt, and in another moment the rest of the sword's owner had appeared beside them; seeming to appear from a mere shimmer in the air, as if he had simply stepped out from behind a curtain.

The man stood as a mountain, strong and proud. His red and black eyes burned with intensity, his well-muscled form stood motionless between Vahn and his Fang, and the fine weave of the black cape which draped from his shoulders did not move in the still air of the void.

"I know not why you have brought me here, Khai," he said, looking out into the swirling colors of the void, "but, my goddess, I will test this man as you have asked of me."

Vahn Kyonuske
C-Crap...! His eyes widened, and he all but fell over backwards, as something heavy came crashing downwards. There was no pre-emptive evasion, no foresight of what was coming, and really no time to do anything but stop.

If the guy had wanted to, he could have just as easily let the sword fall on Vahn's on body, and end his dismal extended life right then and there. The surprise attack, not so much really an attack, but serving as means to an introduction, Vahn just stared at the creator of said entrance, and...well, what the hell do you think he did?

He friggin' stared. He'd never met the guy, safely assuming it was a man obviously, and sure as hell didn't know what was going on. "Ah...excuse me, but your kind of in my way, and I'm a hurry, so you see I'll just be grabbing my sword here and leave you alone...with whatever it is...your with."

Normally, Vahn would have gladly just tossed the guy aside, and be on his way, but time was of..hey wait, why shouldn't he? He could have gotten killed!

themightyjello
The man stood roughly six and a half feet tall, his hair black and cut short, save for where it was pulled back in a long tail at the back of his head, and the grey-white hair upon the sides of his head that betrayed his age. The man bore a darksteel breastplate to which the black cape was fastened at the shoulders, but his arms were bare save for several bone-spikes which protruded from the skin down the outsides of them; ending with a pair of talon-like claws at the back of each hand. And his physique rivaled that of a god...

"No, Vahn Kyonuske, you shall not pass," he said, finally addressing the other, "if you want this crutch of yours, then take it with your own two hands."

A challenge... or perhaps a test. Either way, the man's hands fell from the hilt of the great weapon that was burried in the ground, and he stepped in front of it; barring the way between Vahn and the two swords.

Vahn Kyonuske
The guy's appearence was...nostalgic to say the least. It seemed as if someone pulled a serious time warp on him here.

"Tch." Vahn's left foot grined into the ground, as his right leg began lifting and falling, the tip of his right greave indenting into the ground with each motion. Both his hands rested slightly on his hops, elbows fanned out. For all the world, he looked like a flustered rooster that just got denied by a pretty hen.

"What is it with you weird tpyes today. If you wanted a fight--" He suddenly broke into a clean sprint forward, body hunched in the direction he was going. "--I'd be happy to oblige!" And into a straight forward sailing kick. nothing fancy, and would cover some decent ground.

themightyjello
The man slid his right foot back almost three feet as he raised his hands in front of him towards Vahn's oncoming kick. If this would be a contest of strength, then it would be a contest that Vahn would be hard-pressed to win. The sole of Vahn's greaves impacted against the heels of the large man's hands, and in an instant Vahn lost all control of his momentum.

The man's strong hands caught the kick and grasped a hold onto Vahn's ankle, and the man quickly turned into a spin; using the stable base of the back foot as a pivot point for the force. Vahn spun straight around by his trapped foot; coming so close to the Fang for just a moment before he was torn away again by the completion of the spin when the large man threw his weight forewards and let go; hurling the Kyonuske through the air back in the direction which he had come from.

"If you can fight, Vahn Kyonuske, then you should have no trouble snatching up your weapon."

For the first time, however, after seeing Vahn's determination and will to fight, the large man smiled... a sinister, sadistic smile that showed the lust for conflict beneath the calm and collected exterior.

Vahn Kyonuske
He didn't really know what to expect. And standing around wasn't going to clue him in any further than still simply not knowing. So he did what he usually does. Pick an option, and go through with it no matter what. "Guh!"

Being tossed like a sack of meat was part of that no matter. Plus a hell of a lot worse. Not even able to control his momentum, he flew through the air, and slid ungracefully along the ground, to a dead halt. Propping himself up on one elbow, he stared towards the hulking figure.

"Damn it..." He might have been a little crazy, but for a moment there, he could see Tomorrow staring down at him. Closing his eyes as he lfited himself up off the floor, his left fist raised and cletched. "I hope your ready to get your a** kicked old man!"

Breaking into yet another sprint forward, his body hunched forward. When he was a suitable enough distance, to apparently come out with another straight kick, he instead, hit the ground and slid forward; aiming to knock the guy's legs right out from under him.

themightyjello
The feint worked, for the most part. The large man did not truly expect Vahn to try a failed tactic again, but watching him charge as if he was going to made believing that the firey youth could be that exceptionally pig-headed much easier. The large man was prepared to react in the event of a diversion, but a trip attempt was the last thing that he would have guessed.

"Clever!" the large man shouted, even as he fell forewards; his fast reactions having given him enough warning to shift his stance and control the fall a little better. With the grace of a practiced combattant, however, he caught himself with one hand upon the ground and turned his fall into a handspring; turning his body about in mid-fall to land in a crouched position behind Vahn.

Vahn Kyonuske
"Ehh." Swerving himself into a half crouched stance, so he was facing the stranger. His body slacked slightly as he stood up a bit more, his right foot stepping back, as he exhaled outwards.

What the? I'm getting goose bumps all over! Yellowed eyes held the muscled stranger in view, watching for the slightest movement. What's this feeling!? All I know... is this situation is tremendously bad! But now... His mind was fast paced in thought, even as he started to bring his right leg forward, in another sprint.

However, the difference was in the pivoting spin he placed on his left heel, so his entire body would twist, the extended right leg coming in a whirling round-house, so that the actuall force of the blow was accumulated in the way the leg was whipped about. ...The burning of the right!!

themightyjello
"Yes, Vahn..." the man said in a calm voice as he stood from the crouched position just as his firey-tempered counterpart did, "fight to your heart's content."

The man's weight shifted onto his right foot, though his stance never changed, his weight was just leaning heavily to the right. His right arm raised quickly to intercept Vahn's leg with the side of his forearm; absorbing the impact and stopping the kick with his arm strength, while maintaining his balance with his new weight distribution.

The man didn't miss a beat. His pleased grin grew a bit wider as he shoved Vahn's leg away with a quick thrust of his arm and stepped forewards quickly with his left foot; quickly reaching forewards with his right arm as he stepped to grasp his hand around Vahn's neck with the intent to lift the other straight off of the ground with that grip.

Vahn Kyonuske
It was tough. He knew it was going to be tough, from the beginning.

It was always tough.

However, he couldn't help but feel a bit more elated than usual. As if the mere fact of fighting against this man was getting him into a slowly rising pitch of excitement. His bared teeth showing, he foudnhimself shoved off, tyring to keep himself evenly steady on only the left foot, only to get himself grabbed by the throat and lifted upwards. "D-Dammit..."

An intense pain stared in his head, and again all he could see in front of him was Tomorrow, and how much he'd nearly ben broken in half by the brute. Not again... not AGAIN!

Both hands instinctively grabbing around the arm that held him up, he'd rear forward, to try and squarely plant his left foot in the man's face.

themightyjello
"Grr... rah!" the man growled at the man in his grip; withstanding the first few kicks, but the greaves that Vahn wore were beginning to take their toll, and such a grapple was becoming less and less of an advantageous position to be in. After the fourth hit, he finally turned and swung his arm down, with Vahn in tow; slamming the seemingly young man's body into the ground with great force as he let go and took a few steps backwards.

He was standing a bit less rigid now, a little lower to the ground as if his stance was gradually becoming more savage as the exchange continued. And it was true...

A bead of black blood ran down from his forehead and over his brow, before falling to the ground at his feet. The greaves had left a few cuts and scuffs upon his forehead and the left side of his face, but the injuries were minor at worst. The pain, however, the feeling of being hit, and the smell of freely flowing blood, were more than enough to stir the beast within from its slumber.

"Good... good..." he said through bared fangs as his fingers curled in and he held his hands at his sides as if they were claws, "...fight for your life if you want what is yours!"

"...caff...caff..If I had known we were gonna swim in cement... I would have dressed for the ocassion."

Pulling himself out of the ground, he coughed, as he tried not to choke on all the dust. There were numerous cuts and gashes all over his bare body, mostly on his back, considering that's what he landed on. Blood stained his hands, fists clenching tightly as he staggered to his feet.

No good... I can't go blow for blow with this kind of guy. It's sucks... but I don't have time to play. Raising his left arm up, fist pointing towards the sky. "Let's do it...then!"

Thrusting his left arm behind him, he pushed forward and began charging towards the man in a full run now, right arm raised up and at an angle in front of his chest and face.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 02, 2005 7:38 pm

The large man hunched low to the ground; bent over and crouching down. If Vahn would charge, then the charge would be met. His stance was solid and his arms were at the ready for anything that Vahn could throw at him.

For now he would wait, standing against the charge as unwavering as the earth stands against the crashing waves of the sea.

"Come, then, Vahn Kyonuske," he barked, grinning to himself amidst the slow drip of blood that ran down the side of his nose and dripped from his upper lip, "and show me your power!"

"UWWWAAAAAH!" His face was twisted into a savage look, the cry that tore out from his throat, as the air bgan to visibly ripple in his wake, a darkening flare searing out from his left hand, and then growing along the length of his arm.

The heat was blistering at he drew out the flame by force, eyes widened in a craze as his entire body pushed forward with a heavy jostle, as if a thruster had just throttled open behind him...

"BURNING---" The principle was the same, as the left arm that he had thrown behind him, flared and forced out so much heat that it was actually driving forward along the ground. "---STRAIGHT!" His body made an entire revolution, twisting in place so that his left fist was now aimed forward, still flaming; his body riding along the ebbing wave of fire, to send that fist lunging into the man before him.
