He smiled and took Rinoa's hand, stepping up by her side and approaching the doorway into the ballroom.

..I wonder..Seifer climbed up onto the railing..If he jumped..Would anyone notice.Would anyone care for long..If he was as bad as guy as people would have him think, the answer would most certainly be no..

Zell grinned and quickly started running around the room picking up food, talking to some of the people for a half second or all around just running through the room, events where always a good way to forget afew of the not-so-good things and Zell was a master of events and making noise, when he had to be.

He got down and sighed..He took a drink from a waitress and nursed it..He hoped Quistis would show up soon..Hell, he hoped she'd show up at all.

Selphie walked over to where the food was placed. She grabbed a plate and placed a few things on it. She ate it quickly. "Gah, I was hungry." she said to herself.

-She clings to Squall's arm as they enter the ballroom, looking around at the decorations and lighting. Somehow it seems more extravagant than last year's... prettier in some ways, but gaudier in others. Nevertheless, the entire affair sends a shower of memories over her, and all of a sudden, she wants to laugh, cry and punch things, all at the same time. She huddles closer to Squall as they walk, half-grinning at Zell's antics across the room.-

Seifer turned, looking into the ballroom..He watched people..Smiling, laughing, being happy, being together..He felt horribly lonely..Again ,his thoughts turned ot leaving the garden..He turned back towards the open air, staring off into the night sky..

Squall smiled slightly and laid his left hand over Rinoa's, feeling the wash of memories come over him as well. That first night they had seen each other. He looked over to the exact pillar he'd been leaning against; it was unoccupied, and if Rinoa had anything to say in the matter, it would remain that way.
He looked over at her.
Do you want to dance first? Or go star-gazing?

Hmmmm.
-She taps her chin and looks out toward the balcony. Seeing Seifer there, slumped over the rail, brings a strange expression on her face briefly before she covers it with a blank and then a smile. For the split second it was there, it looked almost like she was about to cry, but one can't be sure. She blinks and turns her face up to Squall.-
Let's... get food! I haven't eaten since this morning, and I'm quite starved.

Zell was still running around the room talking to everyone, untill of course he ran into Seifer with his eyes, it was like hitting a brick wall, the weird thing was, Seifer looked ... well ... sad.
"Hey, Seifer! You love-sick over your missin girlfriend?" Zell jabbed at him with words as he walked over, maybing a duel of words would fire the b*****d up.

(i'm going to break quite a few AMP rules, because both Rik and i are burned out)
Squall and Rinoa dance, to the same song that they first danced to, then decide to leave early, and change back into their regular clothes, before going to the training center, sneaking through so as not to attract monsters, and then go to the secret place, where they spend several hours cuddled up and talking about everything and nothing at once. They see a shooting star. Pleasant memories. They fall asleep out there. xp
