Lin watched as Flint left silently, not saying a word. When she finished her breakfast, she took it to the river near by, and washed it along with the cutlery. After doing this, she dried it up and packed it back away. She began to pack up everything else around the camp, saving the packing up of the tent for last, just in case anyone was still asleep. A familiar presence walked up behind her, and then rubbed on her legs. She looked down and smiled lightly to see Moondust. It seemed he had just finished hunting, and still had blood of a small animal on his fur.
"Moondust, you are a grot, come here."
She led Moondust to the stream, and then washed him clean, before drying him off, and scratching him behind the ears. Mist soon followed suit, and nudged Lin in the back.
"Yes, I was getting to you Mist."

She smiled, and quickly washed Mist down before drying him off. After this, Mist went back to join the other horses, and led them one by one to Lin, so that she could clean them all. When all the horses were washed down, she re-saddled all the ones to be ridden, and then put the supplies on the horses that weren't getting ridden.
"When we get to the capital, I will return all the horses, except for those that you guys will want to ride."
She said this, as she walked back to the fire, and stretched out, before sitting down, and poking at the coals, to keep the flames alight, and hot.
"It should only take about three days non-stop riding to get to the capital city. Then we will have to stay at an inn after making an appointment to see the king. There is usually a day, or two's wait, before one may see the king."

Ashe watched as Flint left and silently wished him luck. She then got up and took her bowl to the river to clean. Once that was done, she walked back and put the bowl back into her pack. Sorrow's lute lay on top of her other items and she picked it up. She turned it around in her hands a few times and then said to it, "I should find a protective case for you. Don't know what I'm going to have to go through before I can return you." With that she put the lute back and helped Lin with cleaning up the camp.

A loud bang drifted across the mountain in the still early morning.
"No, yeh blasted fool, concentrate!" Ben shouted, shaking his head. Flint sighed.
"Sorry, it's just been a while." he explained. "No matter...try again."
Flint started casting a complicated spell, causing the air in front of him to flicker. The air then turned into a semi-transparent horse, with smokey gray mane and hooves that didn't seem to touch the ground.
"There yeh go! Now, see if you can get on." Ben said, and Flint tried, finding it fairly easy because the horse actually kneeled to let him on.
"Alright...you seem to have the basics down. One more spell, then I say we take a rest." Ben said, indicating an area. "Raise a wall there." he commanded simply.
[Im just going to gradually post things until you guys get going, then rejoin in a bit.]

Ashe finished with packing the camp up. She looked around for the others and saw that they where in different stages of packing. "I'm going on ahead and scout the path," she said to Lin before shifting back to her true form and leave ahead of the group.

Lin looked at Ashe and nodded.
"Okay them take care." she called after her.

(Writers block. Where is everyone else anyways?)

((I can't speak for everyone, but personally I'm waiting for something to happen.... and I'm going to do some blantant advertising:

I made an RP, it's still on the first page, it's for Egypt... The plots hard to describe right here, but check it out, would you?))
PostPosted: Tue Jul 29, 2008 2:49 am

(Well I'll make something happen in case that is what people want. Though I was hoping some more people would post before I did so. I might check it out, though you shouldn't really be advertising in another oerson's roleplay. That is okay though, I don't mind.)

Once the camp was packed up, Lin put everything back on the horses, and tied them together once more.
"I think we'd best get moving now. We can't stay here too long, or an enemy could easilly find us."
It was only after Lin had finished speaking, when a rusling was heard. It sounded like a bunch of people on horse back running through the forest towards them. Lin quickly took out her sword, and jumped onto Mists back without another word. After this happened, a group of dark elves came through the trees, and surrounded the group. Lin frowned.
"What do you dark elves want?" she said coldly.
The group leader and his followers simply smirked.
"Give us everything you have, and we may let you live, go against us, and you will be killed."

"Being killed is not on my list of things to do at the moment, and neither is giving up the supplies we have for our journey. I guess you'll just have to fight us then, though I don't think you will be victorious."
"Ha, you are out numbered, how can you speak so highly of a small group?"
"We may be small, but unlike you, we don't rely on numbers, we are all powerful in our own ways."

The dark elf leader growled, and they moved in on the group.
"Then, we will just have to chop off your pretty little head first, elf"
"Well at least I am not a dark elf, with a corrupt heart such as what you people have. To prevent too much bloodshed, I will give you a choice. You can just fight me on your own for one to one combat. If I If you lose however, you will leave quietly without anything. If you choose to attack, we will simply fight back."

"We won't listen to what you have to say. I don't care how much blood is shed, we will fight you all right now."
With that, the group of dark elves charged at the group, one or two, went to each person in the group. Lin was already starting to battle with the dark elf leader on horseback. Their swords clashed together, and their horses went around in circles together. Both the people, and the horses were looking straight at each other.
"You're pretty good, for a little elf female."
"Little is not what I am dark elf. You aren't so bad yourself, even for a cold hearted greedy jerk."
"You have a sharper tongue then I wench, but that tongue will be cut out after I am done with you."

Their swords clashed again, and the combat between them became faster. They were well matched.

Shiango sat silently on his throne eating his breakfast for that day. A messenger of his soon entered the throne room, and bowed down low to show he had something to report.
"What is it you wish to report?"
"It seems the dark elves have come out of hiding since Windshire was destroyed. They are already going back to terrorising others around the world above."
"Is there anything you wish to report about that group of travellers?"
"Yes sir. That group is currently under attack from the dark elves, it seems like they are a pretty even match as well."
"What about the elder a werewolf?"
"They too are fighting, but not to their complete power."
"Very well. Is there anything else you'd like to report?"
"No sir."
"Okay, now be off with you, and let me finish my meal in peace."
"As you command."

The messenger faded in black smoke and soon Shiango was alone once more eating his meal.

[Yay, perfect excuse for a crazy new intro ^^]
----
Flint and Ben had just sat down after training, getting some rest.
Then, across the still air came the sounds of fighting. Very faint...but Flint could track them.
"That's just up the path, isn't it?" Ben asked, looking up out a window in the cabin.
"Yeah...sorry to cut this short again, but I really owe ya one." Flint replied, getting up.
"Before you leave, you might want to learn this spell...and take this." the old man held out a roll of parchment and a brown hooded cloak with large sleeves.
"Thanks..." Flint said, reading the spell on the parchment.
After a few moments, he tried it out, and a heavy looking book appeared right in front of him on the table. It seemed to be the right size for a gnome.
"Contains all known illusion magic spells. It itself is an illusion, which is why it's so light. Well, get going and save the day." Ben said.
With that, Flint left. But he didn't plan on running into a fight being 3 feet tall...oh no, he had a plan.
----
[Edit: No, that was not the crazy new intro xD]

Ashe had seen the dark elves ride towards the camp as she was scouting ahead. She knew that everyone could handle them so she flew a little further and saw that there was another group of dark elves hiding. An ambush for us, or anyone who travels that path.
She was caught, Do I fight them one on one? Or go back and fight with the others and tell them about these?
One of the elves spotted her and raised an alarm. Two ran forward with bows and started to fire at her. Looks like they answered my questions, she thought as she dodged the first two arrows. She swooped down over them, causing them to fall back from the gust of wind she created. They got back on their feet, ready to fight, but she had now buffeted them with gusts from her wings.
One of the elves with a bow got out from underneath her and fired, the arrow piercing her wing. She let out a roar of pain and fell to the ground. Shoot, can't fight well in the forest, nor can I shift because of the arrow. She watched the elves circle around her, swords at the ready.

((gonna stop here for now))
PostPosted: Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:52 am

Towards the camp rode a tall man on a horse, which was odd, as he wasn't with them earlier.
Odder still was his appearance, and that of the horse. The horse was a translucent grey with a smoke like mane and tail, and the hooves didn't make a sound...nor did they appear to touch the ground.
The man himself was tall, with jet black hair and a fair-featured face, with elf-like ears. He was dressed in a similar grey armor, and had a large sword at his belt.
He rode towards one of the elves, taking a hand off the reins, gathering some chaos energy in his hand, and clocking him upside the head, knocking him out and causing him to fall hard on a rock, probably doing some damage to his skull.
Behind the illusion, Flint was flipping quickly through his book with one hand, the other acting out the movements of the attacking hand of the knight. The part in the back of his head that never bothered to concentrate on the job at hand was wondering what the others would think of the illusion, and also hoped none bothered to use magic to see through it, and if they did, to play along.
The part of his mind that WAS concentrating was working on getting enough energy concentrated to have the sword actually hurt people, and no be just for show.

When Lin had heard Ashe roar, she had lost concentration on her fighting, and was soon slashed across the arm, and knocked off the horse to the ground. She gasped in pain, but quickly regained her fighting posture, and started to attack the dark elf again. Eventually, she wounded him, and also caused him to fall off the horse, though his wound wasn't nearly as bad as her own.

I shouldn't have gotten distracted so easily.

Lin blocked out everything else around her, and once again was completely concentrating on the fight at hand. The only one in her sight, getting her attention was the dark elf that she was fighting. He seemed to be as concentrated as her, and they were both looking into each others eyes. Lin rushed at the dark elf again, he slashed towards her, but she dodged the attack and cut him across the back. He cried out in pain, and then slashed her across the face just under her left eye, leaving a fine cut with blood running down her cheek, and onto the ground. This didn't seem to ruin Lin's concentration however, and the two were once again in an even matched combat.

He is good, just as good as me. If I don't concentrate though, he is a better fighter then me.

(Lolz, glad you could get more roleplaying in from what I made happen. ^^)

When the dark elves attacked her Tyr's first reaction was to just dogde and not do anything else. She didn't really feel like fighting, and it would be pretty hard to fight them anyway with all of her hair still down. Using her speed she kept herselt two arms lengths away from both of the dark elves who were attacking her at all times. They didn't really seem to be taking the hint, though, that she was harder to hit than they were giving her credit for. "Stop dodging and start fighting!" One of them yelled in frustration, swinging the large sword they were carrying at her with what seemed like to be all of their weight and strength. To her surprise she barely missed it, she hadn't quite been anticipating something of that nature.

Eyes narrowed, eyebrow arched, Tyr reached down and grabbed her dagger. "Alright then, you asked for it." She sighed, and in her next move she slid forward and struck out with the hilt of it, aiming for the side of the dark elf's head. While it was a weak attack that was dodged rather easily, Tyr's fight went from her simply dodging easily to her trying to swing in an attack at the one who had taunted her while dodging both their attacks' needless to say this was a bit harder to do that before, especially with all of that hair getting in her face.
