As he eats his sandwich, Ben sees Synge walk downstairs, he watches silently as she takes care of her shoes and heads downstairs. When you approach, he swallows his food and greets you politely.
Hello there, good afternoon. Hmm...gardenias? That's...err...a nice smell I think. Heh.

*Synge takes a seat next to you and looks at your sandwich for a moment, but honestly wasn't feeling hungry so she didn't comment on the food. She raises an eyebrow at your own comment.*
Uh, how did you know what the scent was? And why do you say "I think"? Being strange right from hello today, eh?
*She said all this with a tone to indicate she wasn't trying to be mean, but more in a teasing way.*

Ben takes another bite of the sandwich and then swallows it, seeming to struggle with it when you talk to him.
Uh...I just have a good since of smell...and I mean...I say "I think" because I am...you know...stating my opinion. I guess I am being strange...heh..
Ben takes another bite out of his sandwich and seems slightly embarrassed.

Well, I haven't had anything like what you saw before happen but I have a dangerous encounter every day...hehe...so I don't really know if I should say no.
Ben grins with what appears to be a slightly mischievous grin.

He smiles and then takes on his famous blank stare at the ground nearby for a few moments before he decides to get a bit witty and hopes it doesn't backfire.
Sure...you see, I find you to be extremely interesting on a daily basis but since I am...well...awkward as I am...I don't know if you will be happy or angry with me each day...that's pretty dangerous living if you ask me.
He had said it and couldn't take it back. He grins with eyes full of mischief as he prepares to duck under the table.

*Synge listens and is completely thrown off by what you are saying. Her eyes widen and is shocked that you would say something like this. She quickly regains her composure and tries to think of something to say in response.*
Well, ah...then maybe you don't need a new bodyguard...I don't think I'd do much good against myself.
*She then realizes she is acting embarrassed about what he said instead of angry, like she normally would have. So she puts on an irritated face in place of her blushing cheeks.*
Anyways, I can't help it if you make me angry, it isn't my fault. Hmph.

Ben can't help but laugh at this sudden change in perspective from you, he notices a lot more than he leads on.
Yeah...but you could punch a mirror if you got too close to it...I mean...if you had to defend against yourself.
He prepared to duck under the table when he noticed that you were getting angry but then he noticed you weren't as forward as normal.
Yeah...I mean...when someone like me is involved...it's easy to anger other people...

That doesn't make sense, if I punched a mirror it would break. Then I'd have lots of bad luck, and I would cut myself. Is that what you want for me?
*This time Synge was able to respond quickly and in a way more usual for her. She still had an angry look on her face, but she wasn't really feeling all that angry with you. With your last comment she turned her head to the side a bit, wondering what you meant.*
Maybe you should stop making people angry. Although, from what I can tell, I'm the only one you seem to get a rise out of around here.

He stands and heads to the kitchen.

He then heads out to his office.

Maybe he doesn't like seeing wounds, or blood...I can't think of anything he could do that wouldn't make me angry so that is just a waste of time anyway, psh. Why does he always leave?
*After a few minutes she lifts herself back up and goes over to the stairs, but changes her mind and turns around to go outside. Once outside of the tavern she walks off into the forest to spend some time with nature.*

Ben had snuck out during the night and had gone shopping again, clothes in Gaia were so much different than he was used to, so much more fresh and clean, he loved the idea of this. He had purchased a whole other set of clothes that he thought were a nice look.
He slept rather heavily that night and woke up the next day very awake. He took a shower, pulled on his new clothes and then finishes his hair and hygiene before heading to the tavern. Looking around, he noticed that the place was still vacant and considering there were no shoes by the stairwell, he assumed Synge was still gone and so was Keira.
He fixed himself a hearty helping of bacon, eggs, and sausage and started eating at his favorite table.
