Tao completed the first side in rather short order, careful to leave himself an opening to continue toward the other side. That was the trick. You don't concentrate on the moment, you gotta concentrate on setting up a path that will lead you to the end. Which for Tao, could only be success...

He frowned at his mistep, and made another attempt to rectify his mistake. He crooked his head side to side, and approached the cube from another angle. He knew that there would be a mathematical process by which he could solve the seemingly innumerable possible configurations of the cube. It would take at least five minutes to figure it out.

He growled gently as the cube became even more mangled. He cleared his head of frustration and concentrated solely on the math. The cumbersome, uncooperative math. But they were only equations, and ultimately, there would be no way that it could withstand the power of his all-powerful mind.

Tao smiled as two sides were now complete, but now things were definitely going to get tougher. He certainly didn't want to end up with a cube that was only partially finished. That was an insult, the sign of someone who was either too stupid or too lazy to see the job all the way through. There were still four more sides to complete, and he was sure to get them all.

Yumi looked up to Giglamesh then stood up quickly. She was more than excited that he agreed to take her as his student. She stood there waiting until he was done talking to Keiko. Upon him turning back to her and addressing her she firmly nodded. "Yes Sensei." She responded to him asking if she was ready to begin the training. But to be honest she was a little nervous but she shoved those thoughts of nervousness aside as she prepared herself mentally for the lesson.

He felt as though he was halfway complete. Halfway. Such a cruel marker, really. Sure, you were nearly done, but you still had just as far to go as you'd already come. And with all of life's great challenges, the second half of the ordeal was sure to be much more intense and difficult than what had come before.

He grinned. The more difficult, the more fun.

((Gig...dude...where are you on msn?! Did it freak out and die again? >.> Why a armadillo?! They freak me out...they are like giant rats!))

Keiko was taken back, "It...it...it talked!" She thought for a second with a very confused look on her face, "Giglamesh! Tell me what's going on here! You haven't been home lately, I basically see you only during academy hours, today you come in give me tons of complements...half of them you might not even mean and then you have...errr, armadillo, right?" She looked over to the thing that was called Kanna, she tipped her head in more confusion. "I hate when you do these things...I don't have time to process it and then I usually make the wrong choice." She would frown and say nothing more.

((Oh hell... this will be more difficult then))

Reality seemed to warp somewhat. For a second there, Tao had felt SURE that he was 2/3rds of the way to completion. But he looked at his cube, and sure enough, the probability had degenerated back to 1/2 completion. He scratched his head, wondering if for a moment his massive intellect had affected the very fabric of probability, and had done so for the worst.

He shrugged, and continued on.

((So then... 15, 18, 13 surpasses 8, 10, and 12 respectively, so i'm back to halfway there. This has the possibility of taking ********))

((Yeah I'm gonna ******** get you for this gig))

Tao growled as a mistep brough him back to a mere, MERE, 1/3 of the way to completion. He stared at the cube. It mocked him in all its multi-colored rotatable glory. The little ******** conglomeration of probability just sat there, laughing at him with each one of its 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 different permutations.

But luckily, Tao was 1 in 43,252,003,274,489,856,000.

((******** YOU d20!))

Tao held up the cube in disbelief. The little b*****d was now down to a mere 1/6th complete! What the hell kind of madness was this? It was as though the cube was some matter of intellectual black hole, consuming frustration for sustanance as it beckoned its user to just continue further and further into its puzzling pit of cranial agony.

This little b*****d was going down.

((1. Twice. I hate you gig.))

Tao threw the rubix cube up in the air, and with a loud and unnecessary shout announced to the world that he was performing the replacement jutsu. Soon, Tao took the cube's place, launched up high in the air as the innocent (and now completely randomly positioned) cube remained on the ground. Soon, a kunai was thrown, embedding itself into the ground just beside the cube.

Tao landed, and growled at the puzzle. "I WILL NOT BE DENIED!" he shouted before beginning again.

(starts level 1, first roll up to level 2, second roll failed down to level one, third agin stays at one, third up to level two, and fourth roll up to level three)

Giglamesh would seem to pause, and with a breath he would begin to walk a circle around yumi. "In life everthing come full circle, science dictates with action there it oppsite and equal reaction, everthing that happens results in somthing else happening at same time. Much like ripples in a water, any thing can stop the effect of them yet it causes a ripple itself and there for cannot be removed. This is true with combat, to take offense leavs one open, to take defense means you cannot win. Hisakata yibia yikei while it cannot stop this affect it makes room to cover it. In every attack there is a opening in its defense, no matter how small or minute it may seem there is always a hole in every defense when a attack is made. This is the purpose for the dule weilds weapons, always alternating always flowing movments togther like water, attack with the lead hand and defend the hole in the defense with the off hand, attack with off hand and defend with the lead hand. Like the moon are movemnt are to string toghter each following the oppsite move, each move defending with oppsite, to attack and defend. Much like the moon has to rotate the earth, the earth must rotate the sun, everthing comes full circle. Just as your movemnt are always to do......this may sound simple enouhg but with time you will see that this is by far a simple feat, you must train the mind and body, untill your actions are to the point where they can be controeld by the subconcious, to react to every move with a different move, to defend then attack, then durring the attack to defend..your movment and actions will act as water always flowing togther always stringin as a single move to always attack and always defend." Giglamehs would continue to circle her, all these wrods may be confusing but in time they would make incredible sense, and it would be wise as if she was listening as she would have to recite to her everthing he had said in time.

Tao breathed a sigh of relief as he made a bit of progress. He was now back to a bit of completion, but now he knew that was part of the game's trap. Sure, it started out kind of easy, and then one or two minor mistakes would thoroughly undo all of your progress. Surely this was a menacing foe, as brutal and unforgiving as any marauding ninja army. And once Tao succeeded, no marauding ninja army would bring him fear ever again.

And just like that, all the progress was undone once more. It was frustrating, but if Tao let this thing beat him, he'd be no better than the cube. Stupid cube, made of plastic and covered with stickers. Oh and he had to resist the urge to just unpeel all those stickers and arrange them accordingly. But that would be cheating, and cheaters were not worthy of facing the cube.
