.... This is an interesting way to start the morning. Did someone call for me?

Personally, I prefer maturity in men... I've always been attracted to older guys. There's just something about their intellect that delights me.

Ah yes, the unoffical flirt of the Refuge . . . *nuzzles, suddenly very glad for having both more than double the age of the average Gaian, and holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology*

You have been gone a long time, krome. Much has changed in the world of Gaia. To be honest, I am unsure exactly what all you have missed . . . the 25 Gaia Cash was a gift from the site moderators when they launched the new currency here. Real money. Yes, if you pay real money to the site, they give you Gaia Cash which can be spent on items far beyond the "Monthly Collectible" (evidently donation item was too misleading of a name).

Evolving items are the cancer that is killing the gaian economy. When offered, one obtains an item with a handful of poses. Every few weeks, a new set of poses replaces that as the item "evolves." When the item reaches the end of it's evolution -all- poses are unlocked. Typically, EIs can be purchased from the Cash Shop, obtained primarily through Gaia Cash purchase. The marketplace is reliable for the items, but in hundreds of thousands- if not millions of gold.

The only other development I know you are not likely to understand is the acheivements... Just like in one's X-Box, they are fairly worthless at the moment. "Congratulations, you opened a door." whoopee.

>_> So. Stepping around that whole conversation.

Can anyone explain all this stuff gaia has exploded with since i've left? Evolving items? what is this 25 gaia cash thing i have? >_> I've apparently missed ALOT

Krome! My darling! My love! HOW I'VE MISSED YOU!!! heart

ninja

I mean...

How've you been? XD Life treating you alright? 3nodding

And that's a good recap, Magni. I'm one of those fools who keeps spending Gaia Cash on things. But I'm trying to cut back, because otherwise I'll start spending more money on Gaia than I do on MMOs... and I don't even USE the items I get. sweatdrop

Gaia's focus has been almost totally on making money in recent months/years . . . as opposed to RPing.

I on the other hand have little to no access to GC. I have to build up my money the hard way and buy it from the marketplace.

@Ruined Horizon - Cross out that months. It's definitely been years that they've gotten extra greedy, ever since the first movie/item promotion. Once they got the numbers from that, it went downhill, especially when they expanded into Gaia Cash.

@Articx-Frost - I don't think I could even think about buying stuff without gaia cash. I've always been bad at saving gold, since I don't post enough to earn a lot of it.

Well, I wanted to be conservative in my answer. Since I hole myself up in the guilds, most of the changes in Gaia go past me. I really don't bother with zOMG, or any of the other stuff.

In fact, zOMG pisses me off. I spent a good chunk of money on rings for that game, thinking "If I don't like it, I can sell em back." Oops. Nobody told me that they were soulbonded once used. stressed stressed stressed dammit.

O.o so... you pay money for gaia cash. because erm... >_> isn't that EXACTLY what donation items are? O_o *confused*

So. Evolving items... are like pokemon. <_< Only really expensive in the marketplace for gold? and less so for real cash?

AND PANDALI! O_O *POUNCEHUGGGGGGGGGGGGGLES* There is another oldbie here i recognize! O_O O_O O_O

Yes, be proud. I however, am not disciplined enough to study Psychology. My schtick is studio arts... because I can color between the lines!

But I got a 4 on my AP Human Geography exam, a 3 on English Language and Composition, a 730 out of 800 for critical reading on my latest SAT, a 510 in math and a 630 in writing....

So all hope is not lost for me. I just have to remember my homework.

'Donation' evidently made a sour note with them. Instead they are now "Monthly Collectibles" like that makes any difference. EIs are not exactly Pokemon, but not far off. They usually follow a theme, much like the evolution tree of some of those abominations.

Some are quick, others not so much. Some are dark, others are cute. You would likely enjoy the Alurna's Rose . . . one that borders on sexiness with a succubus theme. Additionally, having a weapon come out of an EI is not uncommon. A couple are almost nothing -but- weapons.

EDIT: proud? naw . . . flirty! 3nodding

Aye, contrary to how I tend to act when surrounded by people or on the internet, I'm

well, there's no point in saying mature, because that sounds like a weak way of a child trying to stand up for itself.

No, I WILL say this- I ACT crazy and wacky so people cant get to the TRUE me, the one that I feel people have to WORK to see and understand.

About my intellect- Mag, I know I'm young but don't put me down just cause you have a degree. I dropped out of High School. Not because I am dumb, but because it wasn't challenging me enough. So I got my GED. Technically, I graduated about 2 years ahead of my class. I'm 18 and in my 3rd quarter of Culinary Arts school at the International Culinary schools at the Art Institute, Atlanta branch.

An IQ test I had to take back in 6th grade placed me as a regional genius. That and several other minor accolades are testament to what I am.

And I know I am destined for something greater.

Did you know I am going to transfer to Med School? I'll get a transfer from AIA to Gwinnett Technical college for a few years, then get another transfer to Emory, where I'll pursue my PhD in a surgical field.

So please, and for all of you, don't say something so broad like "Older men are smarter" because (If my family and almost everybody down here in Georgia) is proof, that's not always the case.

:3

I hope nobody took that as an angry message, because in truth, it wasn't. :/

Well, that did seem a bit angsty, but okay. I didn't mean to say you are unintelligent, Joker. I'm sorry if that is how I sounded. My comments were merely offering evidence of my 'wizened' life. The degree is little more than a piece of paper, representative of my studies.

Suffice it to say, we can both be nice and intelligent at the same time. smile
