Focusing on his thoughts had brought Akio back to the academy much faster than he'd expected it to. However, although he'd been distracted, he'd still made an attempt to keep walking with Yae. Akio was in a rare, relatively nicer mood for reasons even he didn't understand - perhaps it was a natural reaction from his emotions stemming from the passive aggressive confrontation he'd had with his classmates about the stolen book before lunch. Whatever it was, Akio recognised that he'd need to build up a store of allies, or at least, people who didn't hate his guts, in class and for the future as well. He decided that he would make a conscious effort not to be such a douche... unless the opposite party really deserved it, of course. (He did have a specific few people in mind when mulling over this.)
But of course, even with this revelation, he was still Fudou Akio who radiated jerkassery from every pore of his body. It would definitely take a lot of time and effort to succeed in his aims (if he ever did). Still, Akio's first step was to be a gentleman and let Yae enter the academy before him, if she was still walking with him of course.

Inechi Shironaegi  Hp: 18/18 Cp: 7/8 MHp: 18/18 [Weather Effect: High heat: 3/15] Despite the cool breeze that was blowing around in the forest Shiro already felt hot and sweaty. Now that he was inside the heart of Konohagakure it felt even hotter because of a lack of shade and the paved streets. As he walked towards the Academy Shiro munched on an apple that he had taken from his families kitchen and savored its sweet taste. When he was finished with the apple Shiro just tossed the core aside since the streets were completely empty. Wow I can't believe how empty the streets are in the early morning. Half of my family will be out working in a few minutes. As he neared the entrance to the Academy gate a few people started to show up but they were all shop owners who were setting up their store for the day. It really was quiet during the early morning hours in Konoha. [Exit to Academy] Kawarimi no Jutsu

(( All right, I'll do the same then. Don't worry, I've been busier than usual the past week and a half, so I wasn't exactly holding my breath waiting for you. Usually I would be up when you've been posting on Akio, but my sleep schedule is a bit messed up at the moment. ))
Yae followed Akio on the quickest route back to the academy. She too was mute as they strode. It might have been an awkward silence, except both parties were too deep in thought to notice.
With a skyward gaze she sighed aloud. Hadn't Yae told herself she was going to graduate today? Oh well, tommorow she would for sure. She began to realize that she wasn't even sure what exactly needed to be done still. There was ranged practice she had to finish, and the jutsu she planned on practicing with Akio. Beyond that was a mystery. A sudden urge to read her syllabus scroll once again came over her, but it was too dark to read it.
Putting her hands in her pocket reminded Yae that she was carrying a bean sprout. In the ramen shop it had seemed like a clever way to remind her of her post-academy goals. Now it seemed like annoying baggage. It's not like she was going to forget what she had planned on doing with her life. She tossed it to the ground, glad to be rid of the useless thing.

With the Fudou boy in front of her Yae soon found herself dwelling once again on the first thing he had said to her. The fuss with Diamond had caused her to forget about it, but now there was nothing to distract her.
After pondering for a while she came to the conclusion that she probably would have done the same thing he had. If his projectile had struck her dummy it would have distracted her, which would have irked her. Out of frustration Yae would have certainly made a comment similar to his.
Following Akio, she felt like maybe she had learned something about herself. Oh no... Certainly people don't find me THAT annoying.
”Er... thanks,” she muttered when Akio had let her in first. Yae considered things like that a meaningless gesture, something done out of a false sense of obligation. It seemed out of character, but how well did she really know him?

Rhaim walked through the outer edges of the village proper just inside of the housing districts. He didn't want to venture too far into the actual hustle and bustle of the main parts of the village. Despite it only being the start of the morning, it was still the time when most of the shops would be starting their morning duties to open up. Attracting alot of attention or getting asked any sorts of questions was not something that he really wanted a part of. So the boy took himself down a couple of still empty alleyways before walking straight up one of the walls and onto the rooftops. From there he only went a couple of more streets worth before finding a perch that seemed suitable enough. He was aware that the building below him was mostly deserted since the owner of the warehouse had recently died and most of his employees were out on missions. The teen sat down and sighed as he looked into the alley below.

Rhaim found that as he peered down into the alleyway there were a couple of stray dogs sniffing through some garbage left over from the deserted warehouse below him. The teen took off his pack and removed the genjutsu scroll from it before unfurling the thing beside him. The animals were just what he needed to continue his practice with the technique. He just hoped that they weren't property of the Inuzuka or something. Without thinking on the matter too heavily the boy weaved his handseals and set about molding his chakra. Just like with the squirrel from before, the idea was simply to connect his chakra with the mind and senses of the dog. Though it wasn't a holding connection like his clan jutsu, the concept was similar enough for him.

Rhaim had no issues with causing the same kind of mild confusion in the dog that he had stirred in the squirrel earlier. The animal was obviously confused as to why it seemed as if it was feeling something new without actually feeling anything new. The boy wondered if it could smell him and reasoned it away as the dogs being used to smelling a distant human but not being alarmed by it. Just to ensure that the training lasted a bit longer than his last subject, the boy focused his attention to the other dog who appeared to not notice its confused friend. The teen went through his handseals as normal and molded his chakra for the technique. He just hoped that the two animals weren't able to communicate with each so well as to figure out what he was doing.

Rhaim watched as the second dog stopped rummaging through the pile of garbage and looked around curiously. Though the impact hadn't been as great, it was obvious that the boy had still managed to successfully connect with the animal. While he was feeling fairly confident in his grasp of the genjutsu, he still wanted to give it one more practice round before trying it out for real. Plus once he did that, he was fairly certain that his time with the two dogs would soon come to an end. There weren't too many creatures that stayed in place as they were subjected to their most horrifying images. The teen took a bit longer breath and weaved his hand signs while molding his chakra again.

Rhaim saw no issues with his execution of the technique and the odd look and attitude of the dog below only confirmed his belief. The boy leaned back on the ledge of the building to quickly look over the scroll once more. The next step was for him to actually employ the full extent of the genjutsu. If all went according to plan then the dog below should see an actual vision of its most feared circumstance instead of just mild confusion. The teen bent forward again, looking over the edge of the building as he began forming the handseals and molding his chakra. All of his attention was on the second dog and its mind. While the Nara knew all too well how horrifying being trapped in a genjutsu could be, he almost wanted to see just what the dog would see when it connected.

Rhaim almost jumped off of the rooftop as the genjutsu took effect on the dog beneath him. Though it was supposed to have a somewhat delayed effect, the boy was still novice to the technique and managed to send the image to the front of the dogs mind almost instantly. The canine yelped loudly and threw itself out of the garbage and into the wall behind it. It frantically darted its head from side to side and finally back to its companion dog. The first dog stared blankly at the second as if wondering what in the world had just come over its friend. The teen Nara could tell from his perch that the dog was breathing very heavily and in no way pleased by what it had seen. Nevertheless the boy switched his sights to the first dog and went through the steps of the genjutsu again.

Rhaim was more prepared and less startled by the sudden panic and fear that the first dog went through. Though it did take a tad bit longer for the genjutsu to kick in, it was still far too fast of a reaction to be good enough for him to consider the technique learned. The boy squinted more heavily than usual as the first dog followed suit of its partner and shot up out of the garbage that it had been rummaging through. The creature howled out even louder than the second one had and ran itself into the wall a few times to shake the hold of the genjutsu. Even once the effects of the technique ceased the animal still shook in fear. Both dogs soon began to back slowly out of the alleyway, not wanting to be in such an evil place any longer. The teen meanwhile set himself through the motions of the genjutsu once more. It would be a shame if he couldn't get at least one more practice in on the dogs before they ran off.

Rhaim barely got the genjutsu off in time on the retreating canines. The which caused the first dog to throw itself violently at the second and then crash them both into a wall. The two animals bit at each other briefly in confusion and then ran off out of sight, yelping the entire way. The boy simply sighed at the loss of his practice targets and sunk his shoulders forward. He stared down at the empty alley for some time as he considered whether or not it was really worth being in the heat to learn the genjutsu. The thoughts soon brought him to reach back for his pack and pull out his canteen of water. After a long gulp the teen replaced the liquid in his bag and resolved that it was indeed worth it to be more valuable as a cog in the machine of Konoha.
With that settled the Genin needed to find a new subject to train the Magen Narakumi no Jutsu on. So he stood up from his perch, gathered his things, and set off through the village once again towards the mountains.

Rhaim dragged his still waking body through the streets of the village from the mountain clearing. The boy didn't bother climbing any buildings or avoid any populated areas this time around since he wasn't looking to stay out of sight anymore. Instead he walked right by all of the shops and stores to give himself more things to look at and think about. Anything to get his mind off of Felix and the desire to know just why he had left the village, if it had really been his choice. The teen wondered if perhaps it had been a genjutsu that people had seen and that Felix was just being lazy in his bed. That theory didn't last long however as someone would have definitely checked there several times last night. The boy kept his eyes drifting slowly over all of the businesses in an effort to lead his mind astray.

Rhaim had shifted from just allowing his eyes to move about the scenes of the waking village to craning his whole head slowly around. It was always quite the thing for the boy to witness the life of the village each morning despite the ongoing war and constant reports of more dead. For as far as the young teen could tell it was a war of attrition that Konoha could not hope to win no matter how self sufficient they were. The boy didn't ever voice his opinion on the matter though since he knew he lacked the knowledge and understanding of the situation to truly make an educated comment. Second and third order effects were still foreign concepts to him and the entirety of the political stage was unknown to his mind.

~ Kiego Raiken ~ ~ Today's Theme will be... Homecoming!
 Calm... cool. The air smelled of fresh pine and cedar. Birds chirping, nestled amongst the branches of the tall trees the lived in. Quiet, but ever vigilant, doe and buck alike peer out between the made pillars of wood standing between them and the main road, their home blending harmoniously with those of the citizens of Konoha. And before him, cuddling the edges of the forest that surrounded the shinobi village, a grand and massive gate, erected of the wood from the same trees standing not 10 feet away, human and animal ecosystems truly... at peace.
A slight breeze rolls along the road and disturbs the harmony of the picturesque background. The wind blows his hair gently, from one side, then back to the other, the soft locks of hair protruding from his wrap swaying ever so elegantly against the bright background of the midday sun. His clothes sway too, back and forth, the extra cloth not pulled taunt against his chiseled body dragging along in the current. The sun feels good on his back, and with his goal finally in front of him, the waves of cool heat almost seem to sooth his exhaustion from the long trip away.
His sights now turn to the young man standing behind the check-in counter, seemingly almost startled that this new face had appeared. Calmly the newcomer shows his identification to the man and assures him everything is fine, and somehow his positive attitude seems to rub off on the check-in guard. "Good day sir, hope you have a pleasant stay in Konoha. The Hokage's office is a bit of a walk, but right in that direction. I'm sure you'll want to check in with her immediately." He points off in the direction of the Hokage's office, and sure enough, back in the background, the tall tower protrudes from the scenery of the village, plain as day.
"Thank you," says the man, and politely bows to the guard, then turns to walk into the village. Not many villagers seem to be present near the front gate, but those who are seem to immediately take notice of this strange new face; surely they have not seen him before. Who is he?
Kiego would soon make his presence known to the village, and hopefully they would accept him into their home just as his old friends had when he first returned to Kumogakure so long ago. That time had long since passed, and those friends were long since dead or scattered, bringing old, painful memories back to Keigo, but the thought of all the new friends he might make in this new land appealed to him; surely he did not want them to think of Kiego as a sad sack? No, with hope in his heart, Kiego took each step in Konoha as if he had just gained a new life, new friends, a new extended family...
A new home... Kiego Raiken was here to stay...
