Marco groaned. "OK, here's how we're doing it: we're going to flush his system, starting at the site of the wound. Fyrin, get the replacement blood ready." He tore his own shirt to make strips, then got Joe's knife ready. "Ready? We're going to cut you, then pump blood through to get rid of the bad blood." Joe nodded, feebly putting his leather wristband into his mouth. He clamped down and nodded again. Marco nodded slowly. He held the edge of the knife against Joe's skin, a few inches below the initial wound, took a deep, steadying breath, and pushed. The sharp blade sliced through the skin, and blood began to pour out immediately. Joe grunted but didn't move. Marco nodded at Fyrin to begin.

Fyrin, per medical procedure ((you should look this up, I know you do this)), cooled Joe down as much as safely possible so as to slow down body processes. As he did this he quickly hooked it up, even if it should have gone through the heart. This would work... hopefully. Fyrin sure wish Marco had been a little more careful and waited for a second.

((Haha, sorry. I'm more a field medicine guy and we rarely have the time or resources for that. Plus, without ice he's as cool as he's getting. But Bayer, have you seen this process before?))

((I have not, but I'm absolutely positive that's what has to be done - it makes sense in every way, shape, and form. And what's it gonna hurt that pulling blood out of Joe doesn't?))

((See? I don't know what the process is called, so I can't give Alex a link to it like he wants. But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's done this way.))

((I still vote at the heart - everything passes through there, and if we'd frozen Joe properly, he'd be alive but very cold and whatnot. Should've, should've, should've. Oh well. This should work.))

((I thought the wound was right below his heart anyways. He got hit on his left shoulder, I thought, so when I said that Marco cut below it I meant like, below the heart.))
