And I got the impression a** Tear was about as powerful as would be admitted to HoH, played by people who didn't suck.
Tzen was basically the strongest man on our team plus enough stolen powers to make a dedicated mage type.
Pretty much what we were aiming for. The team actually passed through registration without being asked to change anything... and I got
irate at our bio graders over it and verbally assaulted them until they went back and took a serious look at everything.
The biggest hit was "people who didn't suck". There's a lot of characters out there (and were in there) that had powers that could be pretty obscene if used maliciously... which is one of the things we grade for. The potential for obscenity. Perfect defenses, instantaneous healing, sudden cases of inescapable mind rape, etc. Being a good roleplayer is twofold: it helps you to use things creatively so that it doesn't always have to be about MOAR POWAR, and it hopefully helps you to know when it is acceptable to be a bit obscene and when it is not.
Either way... not sucking + powerful characters = pretty much raep. Hence why a** Tear was never meant to be, which was also why as captain I decided we'd forfeit ourselves out of the finals. It was just coincidence that we happened to DQ ourselves on the first attack.
xd But ******** awesome.
whee Blaze of glory and all that. They won every round through double KO, only had 1 fight that didn't end in KO, and beat the Eliminator round. Never lost, but didn't win due to being TOO BRUTAL.
Rest assured, a** Tear shall not be returning. However, you will be seeing us all again this year (players, not necessarily characters) on Elimination duty.
Now... need to look at the posts I'm owing.
