Jacob moved up to the control panel and studied it.
"Oh my." he said to himself, "Hmm...let's see...random button pushing or strategic button pushing?"
There is, just not a very...different...difference...
Jacob looked for a large, red button and pushed it.
If all else fails, I can always try to hack it.

"Lockdown initiated," a synthesized voice declared. "Error. Southern blast doors nonfunctional."
Ohanzee suggested.

That might end badly, it could render the console unusable. Jacob explained, One more button and then I suppose I can do that... He pushed a green button. If that didn't work, he would probably just rip some wires out.

((Epic update approaching.))
The green button remained depressed. "Please enter access sequence."

((Okay.))
Fyrin had no idea still. For 700 freaking years, you might think. But no, not a thought.
The shield would never be crushable. No... they had to make them tear themselves apart.

Jacob had no idea what this "access sequence" was.
He phased his hand through the paneling and tore out a handful of wires. The panel fizzled and shut down.
--
The lights turned off. Throughout the whole building, that is.
--
"Nathuce, do the Lucifex Bomb," Renard requested, tossing the battery to the remaining vampire as the sword-wielding vampire returned.
The vampire with the battery nodded and crushed the battery. There was a flash of light. Before Jacob stood a man with a preternaturally beautiful, even feminine, face. He was clad throat-to-heel in black robes, with occasional sections of black plate with a silver trim exposed. His eyes were an unnervingly deep blue.
Behind him, black wings spread eight feet from his body in both directions. Black hair flowed back from his widow's peak down to his waist.
"Nathuciel. Dulatiel." He nodded at each in turn. He turned to Renard. "And Maratriel."
Each one began to change their form. Nathuciel took on a feminine appearance and drew a great hammer up from her shadow. Dulatiel became taller and donned a mask. Renard's clothing morphed into a complex garment of a series of layered pieces of cloth.
"Follow you the path of truth?" the newcomer asked.
"Though we may walk the wicked way, Lord Siluriel," they declared in unison. Three pairs of black wings spread, obscuring the new arrival from view.
--
Mana. Holy s**t, mana. Everywhere. Something was happening outside, clearly, as well as upstairs.
Josh grabbed Gertrude from the air and threw her to the ground, interrupting her lunge for Paul. "Paul, check what's going on!" Sebastian blew a hole in the roof and Paul climbed out. He stepped to their entry point and walked out into the harsh glare of the sun.
Only there was no harsh glare of the sun.
There were ships. Hundreds, thousands of them, Angelships of all different sizes, grayish constructs floating on blue waves, enormous floating masses of flesh and wood, all engaged in combat with various other forms of flying machines and depositing waves of silhouettes.
"Ah, excellent. Our drop seems to be going off quite well, then," Athena informed Paul.
"Those are cyNet3 ships, then?" he asked.
"The Angels, cyNet3, and the druids are working in tandem for the assault on the Cabal's center of power," it replied. A wing of machines riding blue pulses flew over him, spraying bullets into the streets indiscriminately. No bullets missed. No humans were spared.

Even Joe could tell something was going on, even before Marco gasped. "What in the world..." Marco breathed. The lights were out, screams and firing were heard, and he could feel an immense pressure of mana around him. "What...is it?" Joe panted. Marco just shook his head in mute awe. Realizing that the power was out, Marco called to Fyrin and renewed his assault on the barrier, firing Force Bullets with renewed vigor and ferocity in an effort to break through. If no one could see them, no one could stop them.

Paul stared up. "Well, that's moderately impressive," he allowed. He looked down to the street. "Well, pretty impressive," he went on. He glanced back up. "Well, pretty dang impressive. Can we get some medical support down here for Joe, though?"
---
Darius grunted in surprise. "Angels? Ooh, I wonder if they'll be pleased to see me around... Err, gotta go, like now." And with that he collapsed into a pile of dust, water, and fire.
---
"Hold up!" Fyrin shouted. "I think we might have support!" Messages from skeletons confirmed this. "Angels outside!" he told Marco. "We can get him back there instead!"

Several of the vampires were screaming - the noise from the mana flood was overpowering their senses. The Warlocks were dazed and confused; many couldn't cope with the sudden and overwhelming mana saturation.
The barrier's shield fell apart and Marco's force bolts blew a section of the barricade open.

"Well, that works too!" Fyrin called and soldiered on ahead in the front, lighting up his shield anew and preparing to torch warlocks.
