'Ello there! My name is Jenn. I'm 25, married to a wonderful man named Peter and we have a 15 week old son named Richard. Richard was born almost three weeks early but is growing by leaps and bounds xd We are homesteading with my husband's parents which is a huge help when it comes to finances. My own mother lives nearby and is a great help when it comes to taking care of Richard...and in taking care of me lol My father is curently over in Iraq as part of an army reserves hospital unit. He hasn't met his grandson yet and it will be almost a year before he does.

I'm 40. I seem to be on the older side in this guild, which is ok. I'll pertend to be sage, & wise, haha.
I have 2 boys, 9 & 5. It should be my full time job keeping up w/them, but, alas, I work also @ our local High School. I sooth my conscience with the promise of summer vacation with them.
I'm in Northern CA. Beautiful Pines. Tree fort out back for the boys. Barbeque on the deck for the grownups. Doughboy pool for all of us. I look forward to making friends here in the guild.

Hello! I'm about 7/8 months pregnant with my first child and just turned 22 last week. My fiance is going to be 30 this year, which I have been reminding him about since he turned 28 because he's funnily sensitive about his age. We're both really excited and so nervous about our first baby.
My name is Bonnie and my fiance's name is Nick. Blinky (as we've been calling him) will be Nick IV. We haven't settled on a middle name yet; so far Enki and Jöns have been winning. We found a wonderful midwife where we live, Bend Oregon, and look forward to having a comfortable and beautiful home birth.
Feel free to shorten my Gaia name to unknowing or some such thing. It's a quote from The Seventh Seal. I'm a huge movie/film buff. I also enjoy art in various forms, reading, computers, and cute family stuff.

Hi All, I'm Amy. I have two daughters, 14 and 3. The older one got me to join Gaia. I'm married to a wonderful man and we live in the northeast of the USA. I use to work full time as a computer support specialist. I've stayed home since my youngest was born. I'll be 36 in a week!

Hi, my name is Kat and I'm 20 years old. I have a son named Jason who is 17 months old. I live in Pennsylvania. I'm not married but I'm still with Jason's father and have been for almost 2 and a half years. My boyfriend is kinda in Jail now (long story, but in short, his grandmother is evil and he didn't do it) Hopefully he'll be out by the middle of April. He'll be 22 soon.
My hobbies include reading, surfing the web, watching CSI whee , cooking, doing those framework/fill-in puzzle things, and bowling.

Howdy!
I'm Adam and I'm the Membership Services Manager at Gaia.
I was married for 13 years, and unfortunately got divorced over a year ago.
I have 4 wonderful children, 18 girl, 17 girl, 17 boy and 12 boy, and I am really looking forward to conversing with like-minded or at least fairly-mature persons on the Gaia forums (god knows we need more of them!)
Anyhow, thanks for accepting my request to join and I look forward to taking part in these conversations!
-Adam

Hey guys, I'm Darek, or Shen. I'm 17 and not a parent. I came here to learn about parenting, pregnancy/etc because I realise that it is extremely difficult to bring up a child. There's problems with how you treat them, whether you should mold them into a good, civilized human being or let them run rampant and allow them to be 'free' and 'themselves'.
I hope being here will allow me to get an insight into some tips to good parenting, that doesn't lead to your child becoming an annoying kid or a rebel in the future. Unfortunately because I'm not a parent myself, I'll probably end up lurking most of the time, so please don't delete me if this is the only post I'll ever have. xD

Hi! I'm a 45 yo mom with 3 boys (23, 15, 12) who introduced me to Gaia. My oldest, Ben is a small-child magnet and is in the child care world (now working at the Waldorf School in San Diego). Anyway, I recently read one of his books about PLAY by Bev Bos(?)
It just reminded me how important just playing is for small children: dirt, water, mud, plain blocks, the chance to climb and explore. ... and that I fell away from that philosophy with my younger two (sigh)
I'm looking forward to "meeting" other parents (in my "resting" moments)!
