Cordain nodded his head to Chiaku, "If the key is up there, then no one is using the room." he stated before he began slowly climbing up the stairs. He was taking the utmost caution to make the trip as smooth and easy on Zeejay as he could.
"Old wounds huh? I'm glad mine never come back like that...I'd look like I'd been through a meat shredder." He said in a light, joking tone in response to Zeejay's comment. It was obvious he was attempting to comfort her.
Rae blinked a few times and nodded, "Right, not a problem but hold on Lady Chiaku!" he basically dashed across the room and opened the front most pounce on his back pack. From it he removed a small, flat container of metal wrapped in leather. He returned to Chiaku and handed it to her, "It's a salve for wounds, it will disinfect and help in the healing process."
Rae then adjusted his violet glasses a bit, "Best I can do to help not being a doctor myself."

Zeejay alughed a bit, as much as her punctured lung could allow, and smiled. "I stressed out the wounds during the night in the forest I-" she got cut-off by a small fit of coughing where some blood spattered about. "Ahck.. sorry." she murmured quietly.

Rein Aishino She smiled and nodded at Cirisse as she followed her towards the shop. As she followed, she looked around ignoring her stomach for a moment to get a nice view of her surrondings. "This place really looks peaceful. It seems like a very lovely place to live in.." SHe replied softly. Cirisse nodded, 'Tis a very beautiful place to live ... full of life ... but calm ... most of the time anyways.' She remembered the events from the day before and shivered ... what pain ... and all of the newcommers had no idea ...
She smirked, turning another corner there was the shop. Walking up to the door, she opened it, 'Shall we?' Her stomache growled loudly. She giggled, but she didn't know why she found it amusing.

Paine used the spatula and flipped the pancake. It was a perfect golden brown color. She waited a few more minutes until the pancake was finished. She put the pancake on the plate and handed it to Carol. "Here you go...I think you got to ask Miss Sai for a knife and fork..." she said to the woman. She turned to the fire fae. "How much pancakes would you like Kizzy" she said smiling at her.

Lori blinked, glancing up at the other young woman, DS. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry, I was sort of kneeling in the way, huh?" She rambled slightly, standing and brushing off her hands. The flower she had been inspecting sat quietly in the ground, but it didn't have much choice. On the other hand, Lori was nervous to have already run into someone. She had only been here a little bit.
"Were you looking for the...girl that ran past?" Lori asked. She had seen someone run past, and wasn't sure what it was, but this young woman looked upset. "I'm Lori, by the way. I'm the new gardener."

Seriva kneeled down and lifted Worm up gently by his stomach, the devilish cat was still just a kitten. He clawed up unto her shoulder perched there, bristling and scowling at the skies. Seriva frowned and looked up, her brow furrowing as she watched the steadily darkening clouds. There was an intense moisture in the air that she had not noticed aswell.
"It's going to rain Worm.." the metal faeling whispered to her cat, who yowled angrily in answer. "I don't like the rain either."
Soft golden eyes flickered about, until she remembered the old shack. Seriva walke dover and placed a lightly scaled hand on the wooden door, feeling the grain beneath her fingertips. With a firm and wlel-placed kick the door fell in and she slipped inside, fitting it back into place. "shelter enough." she denounced, eyeing the inside of the beaten down home.
Worm tail writhed and he sprung into the decaying rafters, sttling himself at the high vantage point so he could watch with a tawny eye.

She smiled at Carol. "Well, her first word was 'pancakes'. And she's just loved them since the start it seems. I'm rather fond of them myself." Sai surveyed the surrounding room taking in calculations of the mess to soap ratio. "Well, it doesn't look too bad in here." She looked down at Kizzy's little feet prints that were all over the floor, and then some white substance on her daughter's spikes and back caught her attention. Rubbing it off it appeared to be flour. "Unless, there's something else that's gone on that Kizzy wants to tell Mommy about?" Sai raised an eyebrow playfully yet with a smudge of sterness to it.
The little girl shuffled about in the flour on the floor making the mess bigger. "No.....Nothin' happened..... Kapono just slept a whole bunch is all," adding the last part as an afterthought. No one could pin anything on her! As she'd probably just 'pin' them back. Quickly turning her focus to Paine and the delicious distraction she held. "I want a plate dat goes up past da top of da room! Or make it higher!" She started swirling about, and singing in a chanting sort of way. "Pancakes, pancakes, panananananacakes." Sai giggled softly at her silly little cactus.

Paine chuckled quietly to herself, seeing Kizzy's love for pancakes. She turned to Sai. "Would you like me to just make 2 for her?" she said, looking back at the fae, who was still chanting. She smiled then turned back to Sai. "Two's good, unless if you want her to have 1...it's your call" she said. She thought it was best to make at least 1 for Kizzy, so she put on some batter, which made an average sized pancake. "I'm starting off with one for now, if you decide Kizzy can have two, then I'll make another".

Carol smiled as she took her plate from paine and grabbed a fork and knife, settling down at the table; Kapono on her lap. The little boy stared at Kizzy awhile before lookiong down at the food placed in front of him, before his gaze went up to Carol.
"Her first words huh?" She looked down at Kapono, wondering what his first words would be...'sleep' she thought and mentaly giggled before looking at Kizzy. "Nope, nothing happened...'cept Kapono "changed the weather" ain't that right Kizzy?" Carol spoke in a kiddish manner.
She then brought her attention to the food in front of her and cut of a small peice of the pancake and stabbed it with the frok and brought it towards Kapono's mouth "Open" she commanded softly and the little boy only looked at her. "Like this...aahhhh" she opened her mouth wide and the boy mimked her movement, and the moment his mouth was open she shoved the food inside. "Good huh?"

"I think two pancakes for me and three for her will be just fine. I'm rather hungry and Kizzy deserves it for being such a good girl all day." Sai smiled at Kizzy and pet her hair and then leaned close to Paine and wispered so the little girl couldn't hear, "But make her some smaller ones, three normal ones seems a bit much for her." Sai handed Kizzy the syrup and a cup of the powdered sugar and instructed her to take them to a table to sit down at. She herself carried the silverware, napkins and some water to drink and set them up properly on the table, before going off to find some butter. Calling back to Paine and Carol, "Would either of you like anything else with your pancakes? Juice perhaps?"
"Uh uh! Dat's all dat happened!" Kizzy picked up her fork and 'spatulae' and began clanging them together to see if Kapono would do anything in retort, like making the tempurature rise.
"Really? He changed the weather?" Sai set the butter down on the table and looked inquisitivly at Carol. "Perhaps Kizzy can do things like that too."

"Ok, got it" she flipped the pancake she already had and waited it to finish. She looked at the pan rather closely, wondering if she could fit 3 small pancakes and cook them at the same time. "Hmm...Kizzy would like it if I just hurried up and made her the pancakes" she thought to herself. She waited a couple more minutes and took the pancake off the pan and put it on a plate. "Guess that's one for Sai...one more for Sai, three more for Kizzy" she thought to herself and slowly put three small spoonfuls of batter on the pan.

"Which way did she go," she queried anxiously, looking up and down the road. "And what did she look like?"

Kapono chewed his food slightly and then looked at Kizzy. His face did not show if he liked the pancakes or not. Carol shrugged and cut a bigger peice for herself and shoved it in her mouth. Once she swallowed she looked at Sai. "I dunno if HE did it or not, but Kizzy thinks so...Right?" She looked at the little girl.
Kapono stared at Carol and opened his mouth wide again. Carol smiled and cut another small peice and put it in his mouth. He closed his lips and let his teeth scrape against the fork, causing a loud squeek noise that sent a chill down Carols spine. "Lets not do that again, Kapono" She stated firmly. "I dont like that sound..." The boy just stared at Carol and then swallowed then looked back at the food placed in front of them silently. Carol just sighed and started to cut another peice.

"He did, I saws it! I'm gonna too. I'm gonna do it better than him." She eyed Kapono's pancake bits with envy. "Where is my food? I's bigger and need it! How am I 'posed ta change da weather when I'm starvin to death!?" Sai handed Kizzy a glass of water. "Hey, now, it won't be much longer I'm sure Kizzy. Just drink some water and be patient. Paine's being very nice to make some special pancakes just for you." She bopped the little girl on the nose gently and sat down to drink some water herself.
Kizzy prodded the water glass with her fork. "I dun like water... It's icky... I just want pancakes. Can I drink da syrup instead?" She looked up sweetly at her mother.
Sai looked the Fae in the eyes. "And what do you think the answer to that one is going to be?"
She thought about it for a moment before replying to her mother, "Yes!" She grinned widely.
"How about not? That's waaaay too much syrup for anyone, especially little girls who want to grow up big and strong. So, if you don't want any water, you can have some juice. It's sweet and delicious just like syrup!"
Kizzy grumbled as her mother went to pour her some apple juice. She glowered at Kapono. "I bet he'd get syrup when he wants it." With a 'Tunk!' a fresh glass of juice was plopped in front of the little girl. "It's funny looking.... I dun want it." Sai sat down and attempted to hand the glass to her daughter.
"Just try some, sweetie. I'm sure you'll like it."
The spikey girl crossed her arms, "Nope!"
"Just an itty bitty sip, that's all Mommy asks for..." She pushed the glass closer to the little girl who promptly shoved it back.
"No!"
Sai looked slightly exasperated, and wondered if this was how her mother had felt. Looking about for someway to get her to try it her eyes settled on her spoon. Carefully she scooped up a spoonful of the juice and held it towards Kizzy. "Come on, just this much and I'll never ever make you drink it eeeever again." She looked encouragingly at her daughter.
"Does it taste like that stuff at Absalom's house?"
"No, it's does not taste like the stuff at Absalom's house."
Eyeing it cautiously Kizzy snapped her mouth around the spoon and swallowed it's contents. Her eyes bugged out, then she proceeded to start gagging. Grabbing at her throat the orange Fae fell sideways out of her chair making choking and on to the floor where she floundered like a fish before lying still. Sai poked her head under the table to see what was going on down there. "Kizzy?"
The little girl sprung up and climbed back onto her chair as though nothing had happened. "It almost kilt me!" She smacked her lips a bit and licked them. "But I guess I'll be okay.....I'd better try it again ta see if it really kills me!" Grabbing the glass Kizzy started drinking at the juice with her eyes closed and with a slight pompous air about her.
Her mother closed her eyes and rubbed between her eyebrows. "Where are my pancakes?"
