I think he prefered Aeris, thats my personal opinion though. As far as the TifaXCloud thing goes, Tifa to me seems like a childhood sweet heart turned best friend and not happy over cloud giving another person more attention then her. Thats all. Their relationship to me was just like that.
The yuffieXcloud, that would never work but if you like that couple, go for it.

As for what is said in Advent Children,
No he does not say he perfers tifa in anyway, infact he's still hung over aeris up until th end when Aeris finally gets him to let go of her and move on. I dont know what it says in the english version but thats how it goes in the Japanese version, thats the one i'll go by.

Yuffie was annoying. :/ Wouldn't you get mad if your friend died though...I mean...Tifa wasn't the one who was killed... But still... Holy hell imagine if someone had killed your childhood friend ( I might be even more pissed if anything..), let alone someone who's mom you just met. O.o... Come to think of it...It could be Aeris..because..She IS the one they killed off, I know I know, it's because she was an Ancient and all that good stuff...but....It makes sense... I guess?...

NOBODY liked yuffie. She stunk. Well, maybe thats cuz i neglected her. sweatdrop But anyways, i really do think it was aeris. Besides, they'd look better together, even though TIFA really did like him. The only think i think that tifa had was big boobs. Aeris had that...kind and sweet heart. heart Dangit. I need to play that game again xd

She was his friend afterall and he did care for her but i don't think in a relationship type of way. No, he didn't say he prefered Tifa but the way the two worry about each other ( though Cloud doesn't show it as much as Tifa ) there has to be some mutual attraction there. Besides, i believe Aeris knew about Tifa's feelings towards Cloud.

It doesn't mean he was in love with her. If any one of his other friends had died i believe it would have had the same effect... remember... he was pretty hung up on Zack's death to but that doesn't mean he was in love with him now does it? Uh don't answer that xp Oh yeah, sorry bout the double post ~_~
