IDKLOVER so both guards rolled natural 15's on their checks There were several factors that came into it. Spell resistance, base saves, general studliness, etc. But they beat you.

IDKLOVER well just for future knowledge they dont get any bonuses against this, and Jess says hi spell resistance applies to spell-like abilities, besides they're level 20, I wasn't going to let you get away with that, it would have ruined major conflict.

Now that is interesting. I mummble to myself as I stand up and decide to go over to the two gnomes. Hello I'm sorry the rudeness of this but I just over heard you saying that Random Hamlets princess may be kidnapped. If you could tell me where you heard this, because as you may be able to tell I'm a ranger and my services could be of some use.

Steven:"Right over there," the male gnome points to a poster hung up on the wall of a shop, "The king had his guards send out wanted posters all over the town looking for mercenaries. Good luck getting in though, the whole place is racist, and you're not human. You'd probably have to fool them somehow."
Lizz: roll a fort save.

Thankyou for you help. As for me not being human, I think I could find a way to pull off the look without difficulty. If I couldn't what kind of ranger would I be.

"Good luck then," he says, and the two gnomes walk off. A few minutes later Cy returns with a pack on his back. "I guess we're all set now," Cy says, "We just need to figure out what the last riddle is telling us and we can catch this fugitive."

Well I don't know, if that was the last riddle then I think you'd just need some sort of dragons blood to get into the hideout/guild. If thats si then we could get in with just you there but you know how bad I am at these riddles.

You're surprisingly intuitive when I don't want you to be. Curse your unreliable intelect! Cy looks somewhat pensive for a long while, and then finally says, "That can't be it. Any naturist worth their mettle can tell you that dragon's blood has no magic. The only thing it's good for besides keeping dragons alive is storing energy......go over those riddles for me one more time, Valient. This could be important." Cy seems like a mix between controlled optimism and seething rage. A faint smell of ozone floats on the breeze.

I then go over and resight all three riddles for Cy like he asked me to do. There they are I can't make anything more of them then we have. Well it was either that guess or the one I had that Cy was actualy the cloaked figure from earlier but that one is still in the sugguestion box.

It's possible, but not entirely probable. Then again, you did just see a blue dragon kill one of his distant relatives with a splintered tibia, weirder things have happened. Cy goes quiet again, but he doesn't seem to be thinking like he was before. Instead, he just looks shocked. "...I know what we have to do," Cy says, "let's go." You notice that the smell of ozone is becoming overpowering, and the hairs on the back of your neck are standing on end.
