ほんとうですか。りゅふるつを食べたことはありません。
honto desu ka. ryufurutsu wo tabeta koto ha arimasen.
really? i've never eaten dragonfruit.

I don't know what "dragonfruit" is in Japanese, but "dragon" is りゅう, and the loanword "furutsu" is フルーツ

Watakushi wa namae o Katty desu , Canada kala kimacha!

Watakushi (or watashi, "watakushi" is extremely formal) no namae wa Katty desu. Kanada kara (no 'L' in Japanese) kimashita

I may haev gotten the above a bit wrong but I know it's good for the JLPT level 3. 日本語能力試験3級(にほんごのうりょくしけんさんきゅう)

Also, wanting to try Aiko-san's pink text. Her threads looked a lot nicer with this!

` M a n g o
Konbanwa ^^
Watashi wa senshu eigakan wo ikimashita,
demo ga... sugoi eiga ga arimasen.

[is that right?]
Hopefully it means...

Good Eveining ^^
I went to the theater last week,
but there was no good movies.

Not too bad... for a destination, you need to use ni or (h)e; (w)o used with a motion verb marks the starting place, so you said you went out of the theater. As for your "but", "demo" is used at the start of a sentence, not in the middle (you can use "ga" there), and you never follow "demo" with ga

ga arimasen->wa arimasen deshita. You generally use wa in place of ga or wo with negative verbs. Also, this should be in the past tense.

sugoi "terrific/terrible" might be too strong for this sentence, maybe omoshiroi "interesting" would be better.

Over all, I'd make that,
先週、私は映画館に行きましたが、面白い映画はありませんでした。
Senshuu, watashi wa eigakan ni ikimashitaga, omoshiroi eiga wa arimasen deshita.

Ahh thank you so much ^^
I get it now! >'D
Unn.. would this sentence be correct..:

Watashi wa eigakan ni ikimasen, [because] omoshiroi eiga wa arimasen.

How would you add 'because there are no interesting movies' ?
So the sentence would be something like.//

I don't want to go to the theather/movies, because there are no interesting movies.

???

I believe you'd have to reverse the sentence order to do that.

"Omoshiroi ega wa arimasen kara, watashi wa eigakan ni ikimasen."

Also, if you want to say I didn't WANT to go to the movies, it would come out like this:

Omoshiroi ega wa arimasen kara, watashi wa eigakan ni ikimasen shi (or ikitai arimasen?)

Kara can be used as "because", but it is placed quite differently in Japanese sentences than english sentences.

It refers to the reason being what preceded it (just like a particle).

Mikagi-sama, could you verify what I'm saying is wrong or right? I'm no professional, so don't take my words as concrete! ^_^;;

As for the wish form of verbs, I'm still very new to that, I actually kind of picked it up from a song and then found a conjugation table for it. ^_^;;

I don't want to go to the theater because there aren't any interesting movies:
面白い映画はありませんから、映画館に行きたくありません。(Or 行きたくないです for a more colloquial polite statement)

Omoshiroi eiga wa arimasen kara, eigakan ni ikitaku arimasen (/ikitaku nai desu)

To change -i adjectives to negative form (and the -tai conjugation counts as an -i adjective), change the final -i to -ku and add nai/arimasen.

私は映画館へ行きたくないから、面白い映画がありません。

わたしはえいがかんへいきたくないから、おもしろいえいががありません。

watashi wa eigakan e ikitakunai kara, omoshiroi eiga ga arimasen.

I don't want to go to the movie theatre because there are not interesting movies. (Literal: As for me, do not want to go to the movie theatre because, interesting movies do not exist.)

I got that.

However, I thinkyo can replace "へ" with "に"

You got that backwards; you said, "There aren't interesting movies because I don't want to go to the theater."

Hello everybody! My name is Sasha! How do you do?

This is really the first chance I've gotten to speak Japanese to the masses, so I'm not really good at it. I also tend to forget stuff as I'm trying to say it, then look it up and feel like an idiot afterwards... so if I do the wrong word/kanji, please let me know/forgive me.

No, フルーツ is a more or less accepted loanword for fruit. If you want to write flute in katakana it's フルート.
