Fulgar grinned ever wider when Niima misunderstood him, then chuckled and said "no, no I didnt mean anything of the sort. Lack of better terms..." he shot a quick glance toward Taizen and noticed the guy looked steamed before shooting off defensed replies, all of them boasting about Niima's strength. Fulgar got a little nervous thinking he had somehow offended Taizen, did Taizen think that his ill use of words were flirtatious? Maybe they were, he could never tell when he was flirting or not, it didnt matter to him. Fulgar stood up, he stood above everyone in the room at a height of 6' 7" his figure was a little more intimidating than he ever wanted. He was a big guy. In the most respectful of tones he said "I'm sorry, I meant no offense by it, I realize she is a formidable airbender, and perhaps that is the word I should have chosen. I meant nothing by it, Taizen." It seemed he was more trying to console and calm down Taizen than he was Niima, he'd got the feeling the two liked each other with the short time they had all been together. It seemed an odd relationship.

We all know Niima had a bad habit of being blunt and well..that's simply how it came out. She looked at Tazien from the corner of her eye, silently wondering why he seemed so upset by what she said. What really confused her was the way Taizen..defended her. She honestly didn't expect that. She thought back on what memory he was speaking of. It was fuzzy but she remembered being very ticked off at Taizen for kicking her..
Hearing Fulgar 'correct' her she scratched the back of her head. He definately could of chosen a better word. She chuckled a bit as her hand lowered. "If you say so..." It almost came out as if she where saying 'Sure if you say so you just don't want to make a scene'. Playfully so. She understood what he meant. She did, however, grow silent when he apologized to Taizen. 'Does he really...consider me formiable? How is that possible? How could both him and Taizen even think that after seeing how that stranger just..tossed my bending aside. Or are they just being..nice..' Her brows lowered somewhat as that crossed her mind.

((Xio is Komm's fire bending rpc. I gought him in the tournament...? I thought you were paying special attention to the fight! domokun sweatdrop ))
Taizen could feel a sort of aura... It felt... like oh, perhaps like when a great beast had to be pacified in the stories. Fulgar was spouting off sorries to him, rather than Niima. "Oh, did you say something innapropriate? I failed to catch it, you'll have to forgive me for that." Taizen said hurriedly, sweeping the subject under the rug, if not a bit awkwrdly. Taizen who stood at 5' 6" noted that if he was sparring this man, he'd be a whole foot shorter... Usually this would somewhat of an advantage, as big people tended to be slower, and more cumbersome, thus as long as Taizen kept himself moving he'd be safe- relatively from physical attacks- And another handicap was that as fulagr was his friend, he couldn't employ any under-handed techniques as he would with so many other people. Dont ask.
In a fair fight, Waterbender's had to employ far more technique, and be even lighter on they're toes. "Maybe it wouldn't be under handed to weaken his legs more than it already is? Or maybe go on the offensive from at range?" "Maybe, Niima can spar with Kurai and I can spar with you fulgar?" He asked, before continueing. "We can switch off if we don't get banged up too badly." it was reasonable, sort of, Not like Taizen had a secret want to harm Fulgar at least a little bit...

(Ah, yes. I just call his character Sanada. I remember now. I met this dude in Omashu that had a character called Xio. It wasnt Komm.)
Fulgar remembered the way the waterbenders fought from back in the North. They were quick, and their movements fluent, he would have to be careful, his leg felt better but it was still a little stiff, that mixed with the speed of his opponent would be a tough match. Fulgar rolled his proposition over in his mouth. "Yes, lets do that. What say we get the fights out of the way? After that I'm sure we will all be tired enough that we will all appreciate the teaching afterward." He popped his neck and clapped Taizen on the shoulder "where do we go to get started?"

Wow Taizen..real smooth. She gave him a stare for a long moment before just letting the whole situation slide.
Well seems like the two men decided the matching for them all. She looked over to Kurai and shrugged, chuckling a bit. She turned on her heels and started out towards the airfield, deciding that would be a good place for the sparring. Just enough room for all the onlookers which she was sure the waterbender and firebender where going to collect.
Her left hand collected a thicket of her titian hair, tugging at it softly. Thinking on something rather heavily..

Taizen looked pensive for a few moments, well awar of the drilling of his skull by Niima's eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, stopped when he saw Niima turn around, and head to the airfield. "Niima's chosen for us." Taizen said with a sweep of the arm to say that Fulgar could/should follow after. As though Taizen were a host.

He moved behind them to the field that Niima had specified.
Fulgar followed out to the field, taking his position at the other end of the field. He popped his neck once again and squared his shoulders. Getting ready for the oncoming fight.

Niima just kind of moved off the way and looked around absently. Almost as..if she where missing something. Eventually she would look back to the others, arms crossing her chest loosely. Was she playing the ref? Who knows..

She dazed off for a bit before turning to see them agreeing to the spar. Air filled her lungs as she took gasp of joy. "YA!" She leaped into the air before following niima to the air field. She stood next to her teacher with a wide grin. "o yea!" she hunched over her forehead making contact with her knees. She lifted her upper body up inhaling then exhaling as she bent backwards. Kurai pushed her feet off the ground now balancing on her hands her entire body was held tightly together. Bending her knees to a 90 degree angle she began jumping up and down with her hands and in the hang time she would clap her hands. She landed on her hands placing them paralllel to each other. Placing her legs together stright up she quickly shifted her hands to twist oppisite to one another spinning her entire body like a domino effect. She pushed off the ground arching her back backward landing on a bended knee and bring her ankle down onto the cement as it due to her impact. Kurai stared back at them with a smile and a fire growing in her eyes. She pulled herself up like a puppet before her turning her body to face them. "shall we begin?" She smiled as she hopped around lightly in her spot before her feet glued into the ground getting her fighting position.

((Um, >.> Ya, the air field is where the big old poles are sticking out of the ground right? And we are sparring under them...?))
By then, Taizen had positioned himself on the opposite side of the air field, he gestured for Niima to come by his side. "Heh, it feels sorta like a tag-team match." He chuckled to himself. "Okay! The Rules of this match are as follows!" Ack! When did Taikai get there?! Had he been watching the whole time?! This man was a pro voyeur! Well, after watching Kurai do her warm ups, he understoood why...
Taizen brought his arms up, straight, to shoulder height. Sinking into his hips, like he was sitting down. His arms were pointing straight towards Fulgar. "There will be a time limit of 30 minutes, in which the person who sustains the most damage loses. Remember! We are not for fatalities! Taizen!" Taizen rolled his eyes, he wasn't going to kill anyone... He almost killed the young fire bender in the tournament. But he patched him right up! Why was Taikai scolding him like he wanted to kill someone?! "Because of the three bending abilities here... Water is the only one with a sure way of drawing blood..." Taikai continued his monologue. "When the 30 minutes are up, you will switch sparring partners- provided no one is injured too badly. Now... Begin!" And with a chopping motion, the snow inbetween the two parties erupted, heralding the beginning of the 'spar'.
Taizen wasted no time in dashing forward, his right arm trailing behind him, causing the snow behind him to snake after him, a water whip, in the intermediary stae between solid, and liquid. A 'snow' whip.

She sighed seeing they where doing this at the same time. Not exactly a smart idea. Plus she didn't even have her staff. Bah..whatever. Not in the mood to argue. She slinked over towards Taizen, a few feet to his side before she shifted, her side facing Kurai. Her hands palm up shifted from middle of her chest to her hips, taking a deep breath before relaxing.
A grumble sounded past her lips as she listened and when Taikai ushered to start she would do just that. Her hands turned over and thrusted groundward, using the snow that Taikai used a start signel plus some other from the ground, she used the wind current to make a 'snow wall' between her and Kurai. Swift hand motions once again sent a burst of wind between herself and the ground as she leaped up, using her bending to give her a lift up. Using the 'wall' of fluttering snow to hide her intentions, Niima was soon above Kurai and on the top of one of the poles. From her position she sent not one but two wind blades in Kurai's direction.

(I had the same thought, but I figured there must be more than one air field other than the one with poles
edit: oh.)
It looked like Kurai didnt want to wait... She began and landed next to him, he noticed Taizen didnt mind as he called Niima to his side, guess it'll be a two on two he looked over to Kurai when her acrobats were finished "be careful." That was all he needed to say, hopefully her power wouldnt make her arrogant.
Taikai announced the match seeming to fabricate from the nothingness behind Taizen. The match was 30 minutes, there were to be no fatal attacks. Good. This should be easy enough. The match was set and the fight begun. Taizen quick as a fox wasted no time in the waiting game, he rushed forward full speed. There was no way for Fulgar to outrun him with his leg being still stiff, he had to wait for the right moment. The exact moment. A water whip brandished in Taizen's hand, before the waterbender could get close to take his hit Fulgar leaped to the right side, tucking in and rolling across the snow.
Fulgar breathed in. A slow and steady breath. The air was cold, but by the time it hit his lungs is was like fire. Just the way he liked it. He opened his jaws and released orange flickering flames from within his tongue and teeth looked like black scorch marks behind the shield of orange. The stream released was long, steady, and hard. Hitting the ground where Taizen would be next it erupted and spread slightly across the ground.

Taizen cursed mentally as his attack missed, it was an obvious attempt, so naturally Taizen wasn't surprised Fulgar evaded it, however, he was surprised when the burst of fire came not from his hands or feet- Where Taizen could easily have brandished his 'snow' whip to dissaperate the licks of flame, but this was like a geyser of flame, and after the several firebenders he had fight, this was the first to use facial firebending. ( I'm sorry, i wanted to say that so bad! XD )
so, naturally, when your on fire, the first thing you do is drop and roll. Therefore, the moment he saw the jet of flames heading towards him, he whipped his hands down to the snow, and threw them up defensively, before tumbling backwards. The snow raised up over Taizen like a blanket as he made three rolls. He could see the light of fire as it connected with his cocoon of snow.
however, he knew that the coccoon was a bad Idea, since his last battle with a firebender, his coccoon had been his downfall, since xio's lightning had immobilized his body quite effectively. He was kneeling, behind his protective coccoon, much like a child would behind a fort. With a flick of his wrist, the fort opened a small hole, and Taizen could see Fulgar, he pushed his arms out, sending the block of snow hurtling towards fulgar, it wasn't heavy, and was meant to knock him down, again he didn't expect this to hit. He placed his hands on the thin layer of snow at his knee's. "This probably wont be enough to defend against another strike..."

Taizen threw himself into a cocoon of snow, Fulgar's fire was slowly getting weaker from his mouth, the snow outside the cocoon was slowly melting, but Fulgar couldnt keep it up much longer, the flame soon died down and he could see a block of ice rushing toward him. Oh s**t! Fulgar thought, it was too fast for him to get out of the way he took his eyes off Taizen for just a moment as he tried to slow the block of ice before him. It hit him full force, his attempts in vain. His body flew backwards from the force of the hit. Hitting the ground he forced his body into a roll so he once again faced Taizen. It hurt, but nothing too bad. Taizen was good at what he did, that was for damn sure.
Fulgar ran full speed at Taizen now grabbing one of the many poles he was forced into a spin around it by the momentum of his body. 1. 2. 3. spins and he released the grip of his hands, he was flying straight toward Taizen feet first. He straightened his arms and fire exploded from his fists.

Taizen mde a double take as his attack hit Fulgar. "So! He's too wounded to even evade an attack like that!" He said to himself, lifting his arms, bringing the at his finger tips up with him, it was a small stalactite of ice, normally he would have had only a few seconds to prepre himself, but found himself with a few extra seconds to spare when Fulgar spinned around the pole three times. No doubt to speed himself up, but what was he going to do? Use himself as a projectile? The blind earthbender in the tournament did the same, and if he had given notice to the several dangers he was in, (He was blind after all) He probably wouldn't do it again. Still, Taizen knew never to stop moving, you can always bend a counter, or a defense, but you never stopped your body movement, that was about the worst thing you could do. It could interfere with your bending!
This said, Taizxen brought his hand down to the snow again, before running at- and up- the ice slick he'd created, the jump and height of the Ice giving him a good deal of height, almost as though he'd air bended himself, up above Fulgar's on-coming form. The worst thing about attacking from the skies, was that unless you were an air-bender, you could not avoid a counter attack. So was the case now, as Taizen flicked his wrist, and the whip of snowflew to entangle Fulgar's feet. Meanwhile, Fulgar, who was beneath Taizen, yet still in mid-air, would have a good chance at blasting him out of the sky, with his flaming fists.
