iOggy EViLgerbilz Hey guys. I'm proud to announce that this year in my marching band, we have the tightest section ever. Everyone is so wonderful and works so well together; its a sort of thing thats never happend before to me in the trumpet sections. (And I've been playing for 9 years. Holy geez, I feel old.) And on top of that, we sound really top form. We can hit those 16th note runs at 152 bpm like its nothing. I'm so proud of our section! mrgreen Anyhoo, I guess to direct a new question: how do you all feel about your trumpet section in band this year?
My trumpet section is freakin' awesome! Thirty-odd trumpets, and I've finally managed to get away from the people who are in band "because Mom/Dad said so." Everybody actually cares about looking good, and our section is teh awesome.
First football game on Thursday the 1st... I can't wait.
30-some trumpets? You must be a fellow college band nerd. Or just in an abnormally large high school... Anyhoo, I can't blame you for loving the band full of people who care. You're right, it feels great to get away from people who don't want to be there. Ours is the 5th...Televised! Monday Night Football on ABC. UM will pwn FSU!

I had first parts, and all the solos that came with them, shoved on me halfway through my frshman year. Yay to having a freshman "first chair" (We don't have a chair system... Well, we do but it's unofficial.) It's not too bad now since my band only plays grade 3 to 4 pieces... rolleyes

No, they're not bad. I actually took up trumpet while I had braces. It took a little bit to get used to playing again when I got them taken off, but it usually won't effect your playing too much. My friend has braces and she plays euphonium, and there's no difference between her sound and others in her section. I guess you just got to learn to play with them.

I own 2 trumpets and a coronet. My Show trumpet is a silver plated Getzen Eterna Doc Sevrenson's Model (sorry i can't spell his name right) and the other is a gold yamaha. i generally played on a 10 1/2 C mouthpiece... i loved being first chair of the 3rd part trumpets. I love hitting the low notes that no one else could (seems sorta backwards for a trumpet right?) Unfortunately, I haven't played since the fall of 01, my last marching season. crying I'm too old now... already graduated college and i know i'm too outta shape for the corps, so I guess my trumpet marching days are over... gonk

Hi, sorry for butting in on whatever the current conversation is, I just have one question I want to ask. And seeing as how this is about all things trumpety, I figured this was the best thread to ask it in. So:
Does anyone know of a website or some place where I can find/see/print/download video game sheet music?
