Mac's doppleganger tried to get close, but it was once more knocked back as the Reaper held the oar like a baseball bat, and took the necessary swings to ensure it would stay away, and damaged.

Tanvir was confused, at first, by the darkness. Granted, it was a lot better than all of the bright colors his eyes had been burning from everywhere else.
The light that suddenly shone down on a figure that looked like a clone of himself, he really wished it would have stayed dark.
He would never wear something like that. It was like a personal insult.

Where was the challenge in this? What was the point, aside from forcing him to look at his own ugly mug? A mug that was getting steadily uglier by the way, thanks to all the very pointed headshots it was getting with the flat end of the intricate oar.

In afterthought, it was really stupid to think that he could use acid... Because, clearly, it was literally like doing it to himself. A creature immune to the damn stuff.

Mac stopped paying attention. This had gotten so very dull -
That, naturally, was the moment that the doppleganger almost got through his defences (not that he actively had any up at the moment). The Reaper uttered a shocked curse when he realized his mistake, and he planted his boot in the double's stomach, kicking it back another few paces.

Apparently, once it had gotten close, it had gotten cocky (a trait it must have gotten honestly). The kick did nothing to hinder it, and in fact it worked harder to close the gap between them - the gap that Mac continued to try and grow, with yet another kick to the stomach.

Finally, he had it within oar range again. Mac celebrated by swinging so hard at his double's face, that he broke it's nose for a second time, along with dislocating it's jaw.

After the last hit, the Doppleganger fell to the ground. Even Mac could see that it wasn't about to be getting back up again, but that didn't stop him from moseying on closer, whistling a nonchalant tune.
He pressed the flat end of his oar against the bruised and broken cheek of his double, and then swung a swing so perfect it would have made a golfer weep with joy.
It had been over kill, of course. The double's face was caved in entirely, but that didn't stop him from doing it. He dismissed his oar, grumbled some more about having to fight a stupid doppleganger, kicked it for good measure, and finally left to collect his prize.
Mac had always been a very kind and patient man, after all.
