Darian walked out of his room, where he had gone when everyone left. Hearing Crisa talk about her parents being dead, and Aurora's report of casualties from the storm, had awakened his own fears about Margem, alone somewhere in the world. He had gone to his room to rest, and, in spite of not being a very religious man, offer a prayer to the gods for Margem's safety. He had then left to rejoin the others.
As the elf descended the stairs, he heard the angel's remark. Gods, if angels' wings are freezing, nothing could survive out there for long. That poor girl's parents didn't have a chance.

The angel smiles, her face as radiant as a sunbeams bouncing off rolling waves of the ocean.
"My name is Elizabeth. You may call me Eli," she says, stretching a hand out to the albino woman, "I was just passing by but... It seems as if, along with the blizzard, that a few frost giants are probably nearby. They always tend to make blizzards worse than they should be..."
Aurora frowns, this thought not coming to her mind earlier. -Why didn't I think of that? Seriously.... Come on, girl. Your mind is slipping, isn't it?-
Eli pats the elementalist on the arm, sensing the girl's self-doubt, then tries to stretch her wings. She winces as her wings give her a tingling sensation of pain. One way to describe it would be likening it to a charlie horse, where the muscles cramps up suddenly. It is a very painful experience, especially when one is trying to walk. However, cramped wings is more painful to any being because they are closer to the head (charlie horses being in the legs and feet only). She stops trying to stretch them, her head down slightly more than usual [at a 85º angle from chin to neck instead of a 90º angle).
Westley, carrying Crisa on his back, comes into the room to see the conversation take place between Lael, Aurora, and Eli. He assesses the situation and says, "Why don't you ladies take the angel next to the fireplace and get her a blanket? I'm off to bed, and Crisa's still a tick. ..... Good-night."

"Good night, Westley," Lael responds, laughing a bit at how Crisa is still clinging to him. Turing back to Eli she says, "I think he's right. The fire's right over here." She leads the angle over to the fireplace.

Westley nods to acknowledge Lael's 'good night' and he heads up the stairs, Crisa still on his back. -Actually, I don't mind it too much. But if it was someone else, I would mind.....-
The blond nods and follows the albino woman over to the fireplace. She finds a piano bench and takes a seat, since her wings froze in a starting-upward sweep (they are standing out from her body slightly and behind her).
She turns to the woman near her and says, politely, "I'm sorry but I have never seen someone so fair skinned as you before. Is it heriditary or may it perhaps be that you are part of a race that I have not encountered before?"

"That's quite all right," Lael responds. "I'm no new race, unless you've never seen a human before. I'm an albino. It's hereditary, although neither of my parents had the condition."

Eli frowns and says, "Really? Well, that's odd. I have never seen an albino before, though I have run into and saved quite a bit of humans before."
--- Westley opens the door to his room and, careful not to disturb Crisa, enters it. He closes the door behind him and turns to the bed. He sets her down on his bed, at the foot of the bed, before he himself curls up on it.
-Time to fall asleep....-

"We're not to common," Lael replies. "I've never met any others myself, although I've seen pictures."

The angel nods and says, "Well, as many of the Higher and Lower angels say, 'what sets one apart makes one special, unique, and necessary'. Though you might not know your branch of your species, you are in fact special, unique, and necessary for the survival of those around you."

Eli smiles lightly to the albino, warming herself by the fire. She then notices another being enter the room.
"Why, it's been a long time since I've run into a 'next step down the evolutionary rung' elf. What brings an elf like you, sir, to this neck of the woods," she asks, glancing over at the blue haired elf.

Lael is rather surprised by the angel's sudden rudeness. "Eli, this is Darian," she says. "He's another guest stuck here at the inn."

The angel nods to the elf and says, "Nice to meet you, elf friend Darian. I'm Eli, as human friend Lael has already noted."
She had caught onto the fact that others might have thought her rude for what she had just said minute ago but she smiles gently with a heavenly glow, "I apologize if you thought me to be rude. ...I was just noting that elves are just a step below angels and therefore are to be praised higher than most other races and that it has been a long time since I last saw an elf."

"Aye, I'm familiar with that theory," Darian said smiling, "In some ways it makes sense, in others, not so much. Our far closer to being human tendency to get ourselves killed or injured in wars that only make sense to politicians, for example." He walked over to the angel and offered his hand. "But, enough with the doom and gloom. As Lael said, I'm Darian, and as for what brings me here, that's quite simple. My feet."

The angel laughs, shaking the elf's hand, "My name is Eli. Nice to meet you."
She releases his hand and rubs one of her wings, which is very stiff from being frozen outside.
"One disadvantage and advantage that an Angel has are wings. They let one not walk solely on foot but also provide more opportunities for pain, since they are attached nicely to the being. ...that's how I came, with frozen wings."
