"I'd probably be dead if I didn't know she was waiting for me," Darian says, "Or if something happened to her. I'm a little lost already, as I'm sure you've noticed."

"Lost emotionally, yes, but I think your sense of direction is still pretty good. We haven't gotten off the path and I haven't pointed to where we have to go because you're just walking that way."
The bluejay twitters something, pauses then swears harshly in elvish, "What if I can't change back?! I should have thought of that before I changed..."

"You've been able to every other time," Darian says, "I don't see why this time would be any different." The elf starts to shrug, then, remembering that Jay is on his shoulder, stops himself and relaxes his shoulders.

Jay notices that Darian wants to shrug in that moment, so he jumps and flies off of his shoulder and flutters ahead.
"I'm getting old, that's all. That's why I may have troubles changing back..."

Darian shrugs, "Shouldn't be any more difficult than flying, assuming age affects how easily a bird can fly. I can see what you mean though. Your bluejay form has been around far longer than any bluejay, so it may be getting a little stiff in the wings."

Jay shrugs, though he is still in his bluejay form.
"Over a hundred years compared to about twenty years. It's a big difference."

"It's only been a little over a hundred years?" Darian asks, "I could've sworn it'd been at least two hundred."

He shrugs a bluejay shrug then says, "I don't recall.. My memory's not as good as a typical elf's would be, but you're probably closer to the right number."

Lilly strolls down a small path in the forest Krystal (her faithful lab) at her heels. She softly hums a song the she had made up as a child, and smiles. A little ways down the path she spots a clearing thats filled with flowers and long green grass. Lilly quickens her step to a sort of skip that makes her purple hair fan out behind her.

((OOC: Welcome "Lilly"/[F.R.E.A.K.]! Go ahead and bump on into "us": Jay and Darian. We're walking down a path to go see "my" family and to get Darian's memory back {so he can go back to Margem, "myself"}. Aside that, I wait for Mr.Ownage/Darian's response.))

"Unfortunatly it comes down to your memory versus mine," Darian laughs as he continues walking, "Neither of which is very reliable."

Jay laughs and nods his head, "You're totally right on that one. Maybe that's why we each searched for a love that has better memory than us?"
If one knew what a bluejay's emotions were, one could possibly catch a glimpse of a smile or laughter on Jay's "face".

"Could be," Darian says. And I'm sure being someone from my past helped Margem out a bit. The elf chuckles slightly at this thought.

Jay ruffles his feathers and cocks his head when he hears his friend chuckle.
"Something's funny about that? I didn't mean it to, but alright."
