"I... Might be able to get rid of the grunnies. Though it will likely leave a gory mess."
-Her ears drooped at the mention of it, the gold grunny coming to mind- It ain't gonna cook 'em alive or anythin' is it?

-She would prefer for the grunnies to go quickly if they have to go, but she also didn' want the faint of heart ones upset-
-She shakes 'er head and wills her ears to go back up-

"That is a good thing." He smiles, trying to think positive as he looks looks at Batty, "Do you know of a way we could administer the cure to the infected effectively, little one?"
(I don't think effectively is the word I want... Can't think of anything better though and I need to head to bed. Good night you two.)

The witchling looks up from her spot after a long silence, still in shock over witnessing what happened to her grunny. She'd only had it for a little while, but it still felt like something dear and precious was gone. All of the time they could have had, all of the years of study she could have made. Gone, in the bloody pile. Her cheerful blue eyes taking a hollow appearance, puffy from the tears she had cried earlier, and from the ones quietly streaming down her face.
"...if the cure works the grombies...would the grunnies also reverse...to normal rabbits? O-or would they a-all have to be like L-Leppy?"

Tears well up in her eyes seeing the other elf at last. It was from relief though it was short lived. Daenes wasn't facing her and the smell gave a pretty good idea of why. It was apparent she'd seen some battles. She starts to reach for the taller elf's sleeve, but Xashod's question makes her pause. Wiping her eyes she looks at him and answers carefully. "She came to me seeking help. She asked me to teach her some people skills." She drops her eyes and slowly looks back at Daenes, not willing to say anything further. The elf stays silent only making a small noise of surprise when the grunny is caught and Arron appears to take a sample from it. Then the horrible squeal as the grunny's end starts and her eyes are drawn to the sound only to look away disturbed. This offers her a moment to see Daenes slip out the door, Xashod following after. "No!" Again she's at the door, but the barricade is being put back and she isn't sure Daenes would want her to follow. She slumps to the floor in silent tears, no doubt in her mind how, if not the exact mechanics of it, Daenes had killed the creature. The elf catches bits of what is said around her, but her mind is not in that room.
(Catch up post. Foo, I finally get you here and you leave before I can get back. Excuse me while I break into That's Life . . . Whining aside, good grief ten pages! gonk Guess that wasn't whining aside . . . )

The syringe failed to wake the Freak, while the nightmares succeeded. She sat right up in a sudden, then gave off an exhausted sigh. Just another nightmare... As she leaned back again, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head. Must be where that grunny tore at me. Foul creature. She then remember the others speaking of a golden grunny loose in the room, and while it had already been taken care while she slept, she hadn't a clue.
Her trustworthy pen laid beside her, and though it wasn't much, at least it was rather sharp. But when she tried to pick it up, her arm would not respond. She rubbed her other hand along it, only to notice that it had gone numb, from the fingertips and all the way up to her shoulder. This was most likely due to the shot, though she did not know of that either. This does not look well for me. She thought, as she looked over to the door. The Freak did her best to hide both pain and numbness, as she tried to figure out what to do, in silence.
Xashowd awoke with a big feline Yawn. How many hours had passed? He had no idea. The wards and barrier had held, though. He hadn't woken up in some fiery pit or something...That was good. Xashowd looked around the closet he'd slept in. It was about...6x6x8 in Volume size, which meant he could move around with a decent amount of comfort even when in his normal form. Xashowd then realized that, aside from the Safe House, he didn't have a place of permanent residence here. He hadn't looked at the halls he'd been running down much, but he had seen numerous doors in passing. There were a lot of people here, so some of them must've had some kind of domicile within the guild.
Xashowd decided that, drifter or not, he'd make a place for himself here. And this apparently abandoned closet was as good a place as any.
Xashowd turned back to his Vampire Form and set to work, using his Wind Magic to clear away cobwebs, move shelves around, organize the various items that had remained in here...basically make the closet more livable. It took a few hours, but when he was done he smiled. There had been a few shelves on the walls near the door, but he'd moved more of them around that area and put all the miscellaneous stuff upon them. Most of it was stuff one would find in a supply closet, old cleaning supples, bunches of batteries that Xashowd didn't know if they'd even work, small electronic devices of myriad origin...But Xashowd had found something interesting among the supplies. It was a small, translucent sphere about as big as a tennis ball. Xashowd recognized it as a piece of Magitech, more specifically a Shining Sphere. All one had to do was focus a little magic energy into it, and it would brighten up an area for about 30 minutes. The more energy focused, the brighter the shine. Xashowd had found about 5 of them here, and he was surprised no one else had. He put one of them in a coat pocket and the other 4 in his Magitech Holding Satchel, figuring he'd pass them out to other survivors.
On the back wall he left one shelf, high up off the ground with a little bed made of some blankets he'd found so he could sleep here in Feline Form. The left wall only had a few shelves, and on these he had placed other Magitech devices he'd found, but hadn't studied yet. The right wall was barren, but on the floor next to it Xashowd had placed a Wind Marker, which would allow him to Warp here no matter where he was. Making one was simple, he just needed to gather a large bunch of air molecules and impart a portion of his energy into them to make them stay in one spot, and he could track it anywhere. He'd have to remember to place one in the Safe House as well when he got back.
Xashowd removed the barrier from the underside of the door. While there was a Grunny crisis going on, he didn't want any Grombies getting in, so he left the door itself firmly pressurized. Xashowd shifted into Mist Form and slid out under the door, turning back to normal when he got outside. He placed the barrier back on the crack, not wanting Grunnies to get in either, and took a quick look around. The floor was still charred, but the scent was completely gone. There was also no sign that anything had been here recently, and he couldn't detect Daenes in the immediate vicinity. With nothing else to do, Xashowd turned into Feline Form and made his way through the complex, remembering the path he'd taken to get here.
Since he was still waking up, he made a few wrong turns on occasion and had to deal with Grunnies. With his Wind Magic, they were turned into Grunny Chunks in a matter of moments, then Xashowd booked it the other way so that he wouldn't be around in case their death cries alerted other Grunnies. the path became more linear and less Grunny infested with every turn, and soon he'd made his way back to the Safe House door. He decided that knocking would be the polite thing to do, so he knocked loudly on the door. "Hello? It's me, Xashowd! No bites, no Grunnies followed me. Can I come in?" He called inside. He wasn't worried since there were no Grunnies in there, aside from the one in the cage, which Xashowd had a feeling was dead by now.

The elf had been keeping to her self near a wall but was snapped out of her thoughts by the knock and voice. Seeing as no one else seemed to have heard it yet, she got up and went to start moving the barricade, wiping at her eyes. "H-hold on, I'll have it open in a m-moment." It takes her longer than the other times but at last the door is open, and grey eyes a bit puffy from tears look out at him. "C-come on back in." She moved after a quick look over of the feline, closing the door once he comes in. "S-so what happened out there?" She wasn't looking at him as she spoke, instead working on getting the barricade back in place.
Splish...splish...splish.... Her starred feet splashed into puddles as she ran, cursing the fact that she'd left her cove in such a panic. She wore no shoes and the night above her was cloudy and hard to navigate. How long had she been running? Where was she even going? Questions burned her mind even as her leg muscles began to ache. Finally, the tall woman stopped and doubled over, panting loudly. The grunnies of her cove had been left behind but if her gut feeling was right - and often it was - her home was not the only place falling to the strange infestation. "I hope my friends are alright..."
Guilt stabbed at her and she bit her lip sadly to hold back tears. "How could I just leave them there?" She whispered. Both of the visitors to her cove were more than capable of taking care of themselves or escaping by means much more advanced than her own "chevrolegs". With no true magic of her own, X was really only capable of running away.
A rustling in the bushes to her left shattered her thoughts like fine china and she looked up. A pair of sky-blue eyes glanced back at her in the adorable face of a rabbit. "What would a rabbit be doing out at ....oh...oh no..." Sure enough the beast growled, revealing wickedly pointed fangs. That was no rabbit but a grunny! X was confused. Grunnies were green with red eyes, even Deidrich a mutant of the breed with higher intelligence - though she supposed that was a relative term - was still green! The invasion must be worse than she feared!
Where there was one there were likely more so X straightened and before the oddly coloured grunny could give chase she ran. At least now she had a destination in mind.
Tucked back, a secret place that her fellow anons often knew of, she hoped it would be safe and better, it was close by!
It wasn't long before she reached the area, astounded by the damage outside and wary of the hoarde of adorable predators that were likely lurking. The handle didn't turn and she cursed. It must be locked or blocked in some way! That meant that there were already others seeking shelter there! She knocked once, hearing the telltale scratches of grunnies behind her and knowing that they had heard her knock. Her fist hit the door over and over and she called out. "It's X, please let me in!!" Her voice broke slightly in fear and she was terrified that she would be attacked at any moment.
TL;dnr for people who don't wanna read my whole post. X ran away from her cove where the grunnies were attacking and reached the safe haven. Currently she's knocking on the door.

As she sat there, contemplating her options the Freak heard someone at the door. This could be her chance... But she reacted to slowly, and the barricade was already being put back into place when she arrived at the door. Then, suddenly, another voice. "Let's help her inside..." She said, trying to move things with her good arm. Once that door opens, I'll slip out. No one will notice...

"Mostly I just followed your friend Daenes around. She's certainly an obstinate one...Did you know she has an orange Kitten? Amusing little guy, I know a friend who'd get along well with it." Xashowd flew over to the back wall and started setting up a Wind Marker while talking. "I was keeping up with her pretty well until this random guy showed up. Seemed like he knew her, got some interesting information." Xashowd finished the Wind Marker and made certain it was working. "Of course, talking to him meant that I ended up losing Daenes and the kitten. I was kinda looking forward to meeting this Leviathan too..." Xashowd kept talking as he flew back over to Gypsy. He stopped about 5 feet from her and turned back into his Vampire Form, as it was in that form's pouch that the Shining Spheres were kept. He pulled one out and handed it to Gypsy. "I found this in a closet I've made my personal residence. It's a Shining Sphere. Just focus some magic energy into it, and it'll brighten up an area. Should come in handy while the power is out." Xashowd then demonstrated by focusing a small bit of magic into the sphere. The room was suddenly well let in a cool, pale light. "They last 30 minutes, at which time you'll need to focus more magic into them. The more you focus, the brighter the light." Xashowd smiled calmly as he finished his explanation.
He noticed that Freak was awake, and helping someone else inside. Xashowd wondered who it'd be this time. So many interesting beings came here, every minute seemed to have something new.
