Adrian smiled. "I know what you mean; when I make my berry cordial, I usually leave it in the sun for a couple of days to enhance the natural flavors, so it doesn't bother me at all," he said with a slight chuckle. It endeared him to Lillian even more that she wasn't afraid to sweat a little for something from nature. As he spoke, he got down a couple of glasses, filling them roughly halfway full with the natural drink.

Lillian turned her head toward Adrian as she heard him speaking she nodded and she pulled out the bread and then put some jam on it and handed some to Adrian as she took a slice for herself. She could smell the drink that Adrian had poured into the cups and she thought that it smelled delicious. "That smells really great. I can imagine that it tastes even better." she said before taking a sip from one of the glasses. Her eyes went wide and she knew that she was right. The explosion of flavor in her mouth was amazing and she said so after she stopped drinking. She looked to Roxy, who was sitting on her haunches, begging for some of the bread that had the strawberry jam on it and she was making the cutest whimpering noises as she did so. "Roxy... You know that I shouldn't... But I will anyway." she said smirking, as she took a bit of her piece and gave it to Roxy, who ate it happily.

Adrian chuckled at her look of startled surprise and pleasure. "I wonder what tastes better," he said quietly as he gently kissed her lips before retreating. He took a bite of the bread, trying it and inhaling slowly through his nose as he chewed. "Very delicious. Most people assume that it's easier to simply buy prepackaged food and cook it, yet I've found that while using natural elements to do the same may take longer... the result tends to be much better," he said with a chuckle.

Lillian nodded and was a bit surprised when Adrian kissed her suddenly, yet she didn't protest. Roxy, however, did whimper as if asking for more. "I agree with you. I mean there are so many people at school that think getting things that are already made is easier, yet the stuff tastes horrible. I like taking my time and making sure that everything tastes just right. I was always the one that the teachers asked to cook for the swim team's bake sale and that always made the other girls so jealous... speaking of the others on my swim team... I wonder what happened between Ali, Carmen and that guy that lives two houses down... I know that Carmen and Ali are both rude, snotty girls, but they don't deserve what happened to Linda... If that might actually happen..." she thought into Adrian's mind, due to her not wanting to risk someone hearing that last part and them asking questions of Linda. She also was thinking of what might happen if someone had seen or heard that she had told her neighbor to talk to the girls, even though if something did happen to them it probably wouldn't be her fault; she hoped. She just thought that if they would go missing it would be turned on her neighbor, but what normal police officers could do about a vampire she did not know and she did not want to even see what might happen if those two did come up missing. She shuddered at the thought before pushing it away and taking a bite of the bread with the jam she had made and taking a sip of the drink Adrian had given her.

Adrian shrugged. He didn't know what happened to the girls, but from what he sensed they were most likely still alive. "It's why most people who live in wilder places prefer to live off of the land; while challenging and often difficult... it's extremely rewarding both in what you can gain and what you often see. I've found that sometimes it isn't the rivers, mountains, or waterfalls that are known that can be the most fun to find... but the ones that aren't known... or have been forgotten," he murmured as he took another bite of the bread.

Lillian sighed as she looked down at Roxy begging for more food. She shook her head as she popped the last bit of bread in her mouth and looked to Adrian. 'Exactly. I don't live out where some do, but I still appreciate the good stuff, the homemade things that take time and effort to make. not that junk that you get in a box at the store. I even make my brownies and things like that from scratch. I'll admit it took forever to get it right, but when I did I felt really good about it. And I would love to see places that you have, if you're implying that you have seen things that might be way more interesting than what people can get a brochure for? I mean I'd love to go see the world, well the stuff that most wouldn't normally go to see. The secret stuff, if you will.' she said in reply to Adrian before stretching and saying that she was probably going to head to bed soon. She knew that she could probably stay up all night, though she really didn't feel like it if she was going to be getting up in the morning and asking if her and her family would be able to go out for a picnic.
She knew that her father was off, though she wasn't sure if her mother would have the day off. 'I hope that Mom will be able to have tomorrow off, or if not I know that she has Wednsday off. I guess that waiting for them to have a picnic then would be fun, but Daddy may not be off then... I think that since Dad is his own boss so to speak he could probably get that day off, yet I wouldn't want to force him to or he might get angry...' she told Adrian, thinking that they might have to take some time to figure out just when they might be going out for a picnic. Although, she thought that deciding what to do in the morning might be a better idea, since she was starting to fall asleep standing up.

Adrian smiled faintly. "Well, that is one thing I know how to do, find the less likely places that people underestimate," he murmured jokingly, letting his hand shift and hand Roxy the last couple of bites of bread as he slid the plates into the sink and rinsed them off. He unconsciously sensed the thoughts that were flickering through Lillian's mind, though he didn't comment on them though he liked the way she thought of others as well as herself. "I think my godparents may show up a bit later if we go tomorrow for the picnic, though how long they'll stick around I don't know," he murmured as he heard the front door open and close. He patted Roxy's head before he focused, his body apparently dissolving from the feet upward into the air itself. He noticed Lillian's father taking off his jacket with a disgruntled look though he shot upstairs and reformed his body where he walked quietly down the hall, yawning slightly though strangely all it did was wake him up more. "Sleep well, Lilli," he murmured as he slipped into his guest room, not surprised at all to see Rokai lying curled up near the ventilation shaft; he knew it was because the warm air made her relax.

Lillian gave a lazy smile as she listened to Adrian, thinking that it would be nice for him to show her the places that he knew about. 'That wouldn't be too bad. I mean unless Daddy got upset about sudden visitors coming to the picnic, though I doubt that tomorrow would be such a good day for the picnic. I could probably go there with you tomorrow, but Wednsday may be the day that we have the picnic. If Daddy takes that day off.' she murmured in reply, which gave away how tired she was, if that wasn't already obvious enough from her constant yawning and drooping eyelids. She heard him saying goodnight and she said the same to him before heading to her room, plopping on her bed and going to sleep moments after her head hit the pillow. Roxy had followed Lillian and had jumped up on the foot of the bed and was now curled up by her companion's feet, softly snoring as she slept.

Adrian sighed as he flopped down on the bed, his clothes seemingly dissolving into thin air. He fell into a deep dreamless sleep almost immediately, only waking when the sun was about to stream into the window. He yawned, seeing the sun just about to break the horizon, though he glanced to the nightstand next to him, not surprised to see the gourd of blackberry cordial there as he sat up slowly.

Lillian hugged her pillow in her sleep and she was having a really good dream, yet after a moment she heard whining. She opened one eye and groaned as she sat up in bed, letting go of her pillow. If she didn't know any better she could have sworn that Roxy was on a timer and that every morning right around the same time she had to go outside to relieve herself. "Gosh Roxy... Why must you always get me up so early? Even when we were both up so late?" she asked groggily as she stretched, changed into a fresh set of clothes and then plodded out of her room, down the stairs and to the back door, the red husky following her the whole time. She cracked the door open enough for the dog to get out and she slipped out the door and sat on the porch swing, yawning as she tried to let the morning air wake her up some.

Adrian heard yawning below him as he crouched, sighing softly as he scratched Rokai's head gently. His voice was quiet as he spoke, though he projected it so only Lillian could hear. "Looks like you're about as much a morning person as I am, honey," he murmured.

Lillian sat on the swing and she let her head fall back as Roxy was out in the yard. She heard Adrian's voice and she snapped her head up, looking around, but she figured that he was inside or something. "Yeah..." she gave in response. She suddenly saw Roxy trying to sneak into the next yard over and she heard a bog dog barking on the other side of the fence. She jumped up and she yelled at Roxy, tossing a squeaky toy at her, which got her attention near instantly. Grabbing the husky's collar she dragged her inside and shut the door. "You know that you're not aloud to see that dog. If you and him get together Dad would flip... I know that Parker is a nice Alaskan Malamute, but you are not allowed to be with him... Although... I bet the puppies would be cute and Parker is a purebred..." Lillian said, her voice more of a loud whisper as she snapped at her dog, yet her tone softened as she thought of really letting Roxy get with the Malamute. She knew that she'd be in trouble for it, though she always loved the next door neighbor's dog and she had always thought that Roxy and Parker looked just too cute together. With a little grin on her face she looked to Roxy and then out the window. She knew that Roxy wasn't quite in heat yet, but she figured that it wasn't going to be long and she had to time it just right if Roxy was going to be bred with the dog next door and not that mangy, ugly black husky her father kept bring around the house.

Adrian shifted his weight, tapping his bare heel on the wall just above the window before he abruptly pushed off with his hands, well aware he was wearing only a pair of tight pants that stopped just below his knees and a dark gray vest. He twisted into a back somersault, landing just beyond the large white flowered rosebush rounded by the darker pink roses and bush. He unconsciously rolled forward onto the grass.

Lillian saw Roxy pawing at the door and she thought that her dog was only trying to get back out to see Parker again. She sighed before grabbing the leash that had been left in the kitchen, clasped it to Roxy's collar and then walked her out the back door again. She saw that Adrian was outside and right by her mother's rose bushes, yet she saw that he had not been tredding on them, so she was glad for that. "Morning Adrian," she said and as soon as she did she heard barking in the next yard over again and she knew that it was Parker trying to get to Roxy. "I swear... That dog, Parker, he is sweet and I know that he knows that Roxy can be bred, but I just don't know if it's such a good idea to let them... Although, I don't want her having puppies with that mangy, dumb mongrel dog that Daddy keeps trying to breed her with..." she said softly, since her voice was still filled with her grogginess.

Adrian tilted his head, hearing the barking. He said only two words in that direction in a calm, even tone. "Cool it," he said, though it mildly surprised him that the barking almost immediately cut off other than a few whimpers. "I doubt that your father would want puppies that look like they have mange," he said with a deadpan tone, though a faint smile twitched the corners of his lips. He noticed that while he was near, Roxy didn't seem to be straining so hard against the leash. He blinked as he heard a low chuffing sound before his eyes widened, seeing a dark amber furred jaguar with deep emerald eyes lay staring at them as if it knew them. "I don't know how.... she got in here.... without being noticed," he said slowly. He instinctively felt a connection to the jaguar, but didn't recognize her.
