Prometheus had taken inventory of everything and sighed as he sat back against the wall. His back ached from sitting so long and he wondered what was taking Icarius and the rest of them so long. He played with his long hair a moment before he decided to go through his own things and took out his map tool and left it a while to scan the area around him to expand to the city around him.
After it had finished scanning, it pulled up a 3D map of the city, and Prometheus looked through the streets, to the small tree-house before he located the supermarket. The scan only displayed buildings, so he couldn't have known that Icarius was in danger, but he spotted what looked to be a military outpost. His eyes widened as he remembered the history of his own timeline. There would have to be a weapon that they could use there. If not perhaps another military facility, and at least it was a place to start from.
Getting up quickly, Prometheus grabbed Icarius' knapsack filled with a few extra things before he clipped his plasma gun back on his belt, and fit his cartridges onto his belt as well. He took a deep breath before he shrunk the map so that he held it in the palm of his hand. He put that into the knapsack before he rolled his long hair back and up so he could fit his helmet over it. He looked like Icarius now in full gear, and left his inventory list where he had been. He would send Icarius a message later, though right now he wanted to be cautious and find someone to travel with.
He left the apartment building, but was very careful to keep to the shadows and avoid any grunting figures. One had been tailing him for a while, though, and he picked up his pace and hid in a doorway. He was starting to hyperventilate inside his helmet before he heard a crunch and an accented voice speak from around the corner. Prometheus peered out of the door way and asked softly, "You killed it? Oh thank the stars... I'm, umm, on my way to a military base a little ways from here... would you mind me tagging along if you're heading that way?"
Prometheus' voice sounded mechanical because it was coming out of his helmet, but he seemed sincere. He was glad that his mask was hiding his face, because at the sight of the other young (and rather attractive) young man. He noticed the older nervous-looking man behind him and smiled, forgetting that they wouldn't be able to see his face for a moment. "Behold what I, a God, from Gods endure! Look down upon my shame, The cruel wrong that racks my frame, The grinding anguish that shall waste my strength, Till time's ten thousand years have measured out their length!" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . - Prometheus Bound ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Hello Darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk to you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain, Still remains, Within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone, Narrow streets of cobblestone. 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp, When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, That split the night, And touched the sound of silence. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Morgan had been edging away until he heard the sickening crunch and watched as Atticus jumped back slightly. Morgan let out a sigh of relief until a rather mechanical voice spoke seemingly out of nowhere. He peered around the corner where Atticus was and heard the voice and the man in the black helmet and black suit that was apparently speaking. Was this some guy from the government? Military? The "sci-fi-esque" suit had him thinking of a bunch of conspiracies that could've happened regarding the zombies and the infection that had spread all too quickly.
He was skeptical on if they should trust this new, man, but really, what had they to lose? A military base might get them closer to answers. Pursing his lips, Morgan looked to Atticus and shrugged, "Not like we really had anywhere to go anyway... I'm Morgan Duke, where is the military base? I know it's my city but I never heard of such a thing..."

Xavier felt a sudden rush of affection as the members of the troupe all worked together just to protect him. "Thanks." He muttered to Coraline as she helped him to his feet. While Coraline and Icarius were blasting apart bits of flesh, he scrambled around on the ground trying to find his gun. It only took a moment to locate it, and he hurriedly scooped it up, and faced the crowd of zombies.
Gripping the gun tight, he fired off a few rounds; the first of which just missed the zombie closest to him, but the next made contact with the head of a rather pudgy zombie, sending bits of brain flying everywhere. Xavier heard Icarius shout something about barricading the doors. Xavier followed quickly behind Coraline back into the supermarket, with Icarius covering them with his weapon.
"Come on!" Xavier shouted, knocking over a few shelves, and indicating for Coraline to do the same. Once Icarius had made it back into the building, he pushed the shelves towards the door. They hit the doors hard, cracking the glass a bit, but the zombies shouldn't be able to get in. "Did it get you? Are you alright?" He heard Icarius asked. Xavier glanced up at Icarius, though he couldn't see his face behind the helmet. Xavier seemed at a loss for words. The cogs in his head were grinding furiously.
"I'm uh- I'm alright." Xavier said, quickly surveying his body to check for bite marks. But it appeared there were none. "Thank you." He said to Icarius.
"Well... we're back in the supermarket." Xavier said to the group, shaking his head.

Pity Emmerah sighed, almost wistfully, as she watched the Doctor carve a path through the zombies I would have liked examining his head a bit... No matter She shifted back to her human form, located the jersey and pulled it over her head. Smiling at those remaining in the room she gestured to an exit that was not occupied by zombies. "Zombies don't taste very nice and I believe the rest of you may need some time to regain your morale." With that she moved, seemingly without moving her feet, towards the exit.

✘✘Evelyn Alice✘✘ Open wide.. After having a chair thrown at her, Evelyn was starting to question her loyalties to Dr. Howard. Maybe he wasn't as good as she thought he was.. She stood up, looking at the undead she had been feeding. Her babies had finally come to greet her. With a smile she waved to them, over looking the blood and puss spewing from them. Some climbed over each other, others knocked over tables and tripped over chairs. It reminded her of when she'd toss the patients bodies off the roof and how they'd tear each other apart just to get to them. But this time they weren't ant sized.. and the only food suitable for such creatures were her and the other girls. Panic, a feeling thought of as lost to her had swelled up in her chest. She had felt so comfortable in this world, forgetting the many dangers it held. They were closing in on her, making her feel a bit closterphobic. She couldn't leave. Her sweet William was here, how could she abandon the one person she held precious. He needed her. The nurse dived into the group of zombies, determined to save her husband. "Will!" She shouted, a few tears strolling down her cheeks uncontrollably. She hadn't shed a tear since this new age began and now that she had, they just kept comming. The zombies ripped and tore at her clothing but she kept pushing through, reaching her hand out as if she could somehow grab his and pull him to safety. All her work to try and save him, now attempting to sink sink teeth into her flesh. She took and elbow to the face and found herself on the floor, zombies hovering above her. Kicking, she managed to get away and hobble over to the exit. Silently she made a promise while trying to escape. She'd be back to save her lover, save him from death's grasp and be able to hold him in her arms once again. ...Its time for your medicine ((She's not infected btw. >_> They just ruffled her up. ))

Emmerah looked back, with an eyebrow raised. "My, we seem to have lost our nurse. Oh well, best we be off before these zombies get to us." She gently made slight alterations to the remaining two girls emotional states, encouraging them to follow her. Ah, another pity. She had such a rich well of deep seeded negative emotion. I would have loved to taste it... With this thought she licked her lips and then smiled at the girls. "Are you coming?" She prodded, "Oh, any chance you'll tell me what your names are?"

Coraline sprinted into the store to help Xavier push the shelves to barricade the door.Coraline looked at her side to see Miza but she was a few feet away. Then Coraline saw Icarius run into the store then her and Xavier pushed the shelve, once the shelve hit the door it left a crack in the glass. Coraline backed away she looked at the horde. Then she heard Xavier she sighed and looked at him and Icarius,"what now?"as she waits for an answer she glances to the door seeing the undead hitting the windows and growling, Coraline looked away. Thinking to herself "how did all this happen?"

Sebastian Sebastian was pleased to hear that Noah would be staying up with him to keep watch. He stood awkwardly near the door, not really sure of what to do. Noah had asked Courtney where the best vantage point would be, but she seemed, for the moment, occupied with something.
Sebastian decided he would start up some small talk with Noah. After all, if he was going to be spending a good deal of time with these people, and he figured he was, it was best to get to know who they were. "So what's your story?" Sebastian asked. "I mean, who were you before... this happened?" ((That's okay! I fell behind a bit too =P And sorry it's so short. Wasn't really sure what to say. Waiting for Courtney to respond to us heh.))

Courtney looked around. She had never thought about that before. She looked at Noah before Sebastian started to talk. "I guess the roof. There's a flat point on top that's perfect for keeping watch." she said. She could of kept watched too. Just because she was a girl doesn't mean s**t. She looked out the window. "Its getting late so I'd go now if you want to be settled in time." ((ooc: Sorry! I've been really busy and also lazy so I haven't posting in ceratin places....))

Jasmine Langdon Seeing the doctor jump from the window, she pouts. He ran out, she was, however, relieved. Now was not the time. Her nerves was shot, but she had to get a hold of herself. As she watched Alice run into the zombies, she called "ALICE!" That nurse honestly was either really brave, or just out of her head. She opted for the latter. Gazing at the woman, "My name is Jasmine. Jasmine Langdon... And you are?" Fighting with the doctor and looking around, she wondered how to get out of here without becoming zombie-food. So she made a note to read the stranger later as she bit her lip, scanning the place, she felt the zombie's dead emotions. The hunger for flesh was the most prominent emotion. "Natalie, do you have a plan? I'm stuck on this one. I know to go up, but what if we get stuck? And how are we to get up there when we're swarmed?" She never has been in a hospital, so she knows nothing of one.

Icarius took a deep steadying breath as they got back in doors and leaned back against the shelves a moment before he took off his helmet and put it in the hood of his hoodie so he wouldn't have to carry it for the moment. He ran his hands back over his sweat-beaded brow and his short hair for a moment as Xavier responded. He looked around with his piercing blue eyes at his comrades and shook his head slightly. That was much too close.
"We should find a way to the roof again if we can. We won't be able to go anywhere, but they won't be able to get up there either... I need to charge my cartridges. We should block the other entrances just in case they manage to figure out there's more than one door," Icarius said, and stuck his gun back in his belt before he pulled out his belt a bit and stuffed his crude and bloody spear through the space between the belt and his pants.
He smiled slightly at Xavier as he passed him before he started searching for stairs towards the roof, though there didn't seem to be any. Icarius then went about moving shelves with the help of the others around to block the other doors. They were trapped like rats in a cage, but Icarius would take his chances waiting it out... for now. Prometheus was still out there, and alone.
(( haha, Icarius is so special ))

Miza The Cycle brings Pain, Pain brings life, Life brings joy, Joy brings hope… Miza wasn’t sure if she was simply perceiving time slower than the others were or what, but they seemed to react to everything quicker than she did. She shoved her left hand forward, throwing a less-than-perfect orb toward the undead and knocking her backward, making an odd sound on impact; then threw he right hand forward, an indigo ball zipping from her hand quicker than she could keep her eye on it. When the second ball hit the same group that the first had there was a minor explosion of fluxing blue energy that didn’t sound like an normal explosion at all, and sent all the undead flying outward from the epicenter, even if only for a moment. The blue glow dissipated and she got inside the doors before her energy drained and she fell to the floor. When she heard the male with the metallic voice saying something about the zombies figuring out there was another way in, she scoffed, not that it was audible. “The undead don’t think, they don’t ‘figure out’ anything.”
…Hope brings disappointment, Disappointment brings failure, Failure brings death, Death brings the cycle.

[[Woah, sorry for taking so long! I was trying to think of what else to put in to edge this little mini-plot along]] Kary continued to cry in Desirae's arms, the pain of these voices and their constant taunting by playing off of her mind, especially when it came to Kyle. Then suddenly she stopped and shoved Desirae, or off of her, since Kary was smaller. She had a somewhat vengeful battle stance, aand went ot reach for one of her axes, only to find it not there. Shocked, she whipped her head to make sure with her own eyes, before slowly turning back to Desirae, that wild look on her face again. "You...rob me...of my weapons!?" she gradually yelled, lunging at Desirae. "I will pick the flesh of of your bones piece by piece until there's nothing left!" it wasn't like her to yell such threats, especially to a friend, but in the mental state she was, constantly fluctuating between normal and psychotic, it seemed anything could happen at any given moment. Then, like it had come in, the feelig had passed. Kary now had an almost sad demeanor, collapsing to her knees. What were these voices doing to her? What were they trying to accomplish? "Please...stop...no more..." she said, sobbing. "WEAK!" she shouted. "POWERLESS! A FOOL!" she coughed. "No more...no more..." she then collapsed to the ground, motionless. It seemed she had passed out from all the stress. Or, at least, what it came off as. [[Dun Dun Duuuuun!!!]]

Stepping forwards, Bartholomew was about to speak when his watch beeped, several times. Frowning, he glanced down at it. "Well, gotta feed the cat. You are all welcome to head back with me if you wish, but alas, I must go. He doesn't like not being fed..." Bartholomew said as he shoved his hands in his pocket and spun on his heel. "Just follow the lights!" He called out behind him, starting to walk away.

Sydelle WestYou're not a hero, you're a liar...
Sydelle watched Bartholomew walk away for a few moments before speaking. "Incredible." She murmured quietly. "He made a decision without really deciding anything." She turned back to her comrades, ignoring the blob and the babbling female. "Well, I cannot say you haven't been interesting. But I shall be going back to the safe house." She glanced at the girl momentarily, then the blob, before calling to Grr. The behemoth looked around for another zombie to play with, but when none presented themselves he grudging moved over to his mistress. Sydelle gave a curt nod, then turned to leave.
...you're not a savior, you're a vampire.

Verra gamboled around Tora, upsetting several piles of junk and not really caring. "I'm with you, sssister," he grinned, clapping her jocularly on the shoulder. "If I can't carry, I'll of course be able to fend off the ******** hhhordes once we're in the open." He froze, coughed up a sizable lump of phlegm, turned, and fired it towards a steel beam lodged firmly in the dirt.
The goo rested on the beam for only a mere second, and more than half of it melted away.
Verra crowed with delight. "Ten pointsss! And that'd be fifty were it a zombie!"
He alternated between dancing towards the exit to the scrapyard and shuffling back towards Tora. "You hafta lead the way, you know," he pointed out amicably. He remained unfazed as Bartholomew and Sydelle made to leave.
Just as the two were making their exit, Verra's entire demeanor shifted, if only for a second. He shifted his center of gravity lower; his eyes simultaneously narrowed and glittered with even more intensity; his antennae stood erect and poked through pink locks. When he called out, his tone was low and menacing. "We have not ssseen the lassst of one another."
And just like that, the alien was up again. The whole debacle had barely taken five seconds. He saluted Tora cheekily.
