ROGUE MUTANT ENFORCEMENT UNIT ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ SENTINEL MK I.089
XROGUE MUTANT ENFORCEMENT UNIT XGARRISON: 5 XDESTINATION: WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY XQUADRANTS: 2, 3, 5, 9 XMODE: NON-LETHAL XPARAMETERS: TARGET AND BRING ALL UNREGISTERED MUTANTS INTO CUSTODY. XFAILURE PROTOCOL: DOES NOT COMPUTE. FAILURE IS NOT WRITTEN INTO CODE. OPPOSITION RAISES THE TARGET TO A HOSTILE THREAT TO HUMANITY. XALL THREATS MUST BE ELIMINATED
The sounds of the jets built into their feet were near silent in the sunlit morning. They flew high, scanning the surrounding area methodically, quadrant by quadrant. It was their second pass over the sprawling rural area of Westchester County in New York. Station command ordered another sweep, immediately after the first was completed due to the fact that the wooded area was an ideal place for fugitives to attempt to hide. They followed the coordinates that had been entered into the mainframe, and transmitted to their internal GPS without hesitation or delay. Their programming was specific and binding, leaving little room for error. They were to track down, detain—And if necessary, kill any and all unregistered mutants with an active X-Gene. The latter was reserved for a last resort, when the estimated percentile of capturing the target reached a point below the accepted average. If the enemy could not be restrained, for the good of mankind they would be destroyed. Their internal scanners were constantly active, blinding spot lights from their palms chasing even the most stubborn mutants out of hiding. The diseased humans ran and screamed, sought to fight back… Resistance was futile. State of the art cloaking devices allowed their metallic forms to blend in with the sky, if seen from the ground below. Shifting, reflective panels could never hope to completely conceal their presence—But it always allowed some element of surprise. “Unidentified mutant entity’s detected. 41°20'1"N 73°36'17"W.” The group turned as a unit, curving in the air effortlessly. Targets filled their scanners, so many mutants in the area, that they could no longer tell one from the other until they got closer— Even with enhanced resolution. The whole area was a teeming mass of moving red silhouettes. “Defensive system around the enemy territory is engaged.”There were a dozen units in each sentinel garrison. Twelve, was more than enough to arrest any of the other mutants they’d come across. “Jamming frequencies. Disabling.”, several Sentinels spoke at the same time, each working remotely on a different piece of equipment designed to keep intruders from breaching the gate. The lead robot saw something flying it in the air. A small drone. No matter the slight potential threat, all defensive systems were to be neutralized. An energy beam left its massive palm and struck the flying drone broadside, sending it falling to the ground in a flaming heap. Large metal boots shook the ground as they came in contact, each Sentinel landing in formation on the compound ground. They systematically destroyed each piece of tech on the lawn, knocking out not only in ground laser guns, but cameras on the perimeter. A sentinel came to stand in front of two adult males, and one female adolescent standing near the shooting range. For a moment the machine remained still as it scanned the life forms, eyes gleaming yellow. “Active X-Gene confirmed. Identity unconfirmed. Two male unregistered mutants.” “Surrender. Resistance is futile.” The targets they came across outside of the massive structure didn’t warrant high threats. There were a few other male and female specimens in the vicinity. It would either be a successful capture operation…Or a successful extermination. “All threats to humanity must be apprehended. Surrender for immediate acquisition, or be neutralized.” SENTINEL MK I.089 – INTERNAL WEAPONS SYSTEMS

Name: Narcissa Grace Lucania-Stone [No relation, to Any Alpha's] Codename: Solaris Team: Omega Location: Outside - Jogging Temperament: Moderate Narcissa jogged through the well worn paths, waist length ponytail swinging behind her in the faint breeze. The noonday sun eased her tired muscles, replenishing the energy that she’d wasted the night before. It was a rare thing to see her in actual exercise gear, and not some kind of designer piece…But those were the sacrifices that she made for her roommate. That, was love. Despite the disdain that she held for her attire, the Red Queen could feel light and warmth shifting sweetly just beneath the surface of her skin…The ball of light in the sky she felt so tethered to left her feeling healthy, complete.
If she were being entirely honest…Her completeness was only enhanced by her childish harassment of the dorms. Each turn she took against the moronic masses filled her with a neatly packaged wonder that could only be described as a child’s first Christmas. The new recruits were getting off too easy these days.
Bringing her wrist up to her lips she paused in her run for a moment to call her favorite Ginger on her comm. “I know you’re awake. Please. Feel free to keep me waiting on the details.”
“And you better have woken in YOUR bed, not mine. My sheets are flame resistant. They’ll be much harder to burn.”
Smirking to herself as she imagined her dear friend’s response, she let her wrist fall as she fell into a brisk walk for the cool down. Her thoughts drifted…Constantly falling back to the Omega’s. Their numbers had seemed…Depleted as of late. Emma had promised her new blood… Hopefully, she would hold up her end of the bargain.
Felix’s voice came through her comm then, questioning his status on a date…Golden eyebrows rose in amusement as she copulated a response, knowing that he was merely teasing her. Or trying to get a rise out of here…”You might want to join the basketball team…”
“They’ll teach you how to jump properly.”
For the most part her morning was…The epitome of carefree. There was only notification of one or two new potential Omega’s…To which she would meet later. If she pulled a team meeting everytime they gained and lost team members, they’d never leave each others sides. The campus was quiet. No one really seemed to be in a hurry to do much of anything. Emma wasn’t blowing up her comm like a jealous ex-boyfriend… The Alpha’s seemed MIA and temporarily off her radar… It was a good morning.
Her eyes tilted towards the sky, feeling an odd sensation in the pit of her stomach…Something felt strange to her.
Another voice came over her communicator, breaking her concentration. This one made her tilt her head in curiosity. It hadn’t been so long that she didn’t remember who it belonged to…But long enough that she didn’t think the girl would be coming back to the fold anytime soon. Besides, there were only so many people these days that openly referred to her as the Sun Queen anymore.
Considering she wasn’t far from the back of the mansion, she moved in that direction, cutting through the gardens to save on time. It wasn’t as if she ever hurried at the beck and call of anyone—No matter who they were. But she would nonchalantly take shortcuts when they were available to seem as if she cared about punctuality.
The raven haired girl in question came into her line of sight, and her hand rest on her hip a she chuckled darkly...She hated cigarettes...But for the time being, let it slide. “Emma promised me some new blood on the Omega’s…So I suppose old blood is close enough.”
Better, even. There was nothing worse than breaking in a new recruit. For the most part, they were heathen idiots. Slightly more intelligent than an Alpha…But deeply below the level of functionality she needed to run an effective team. Her gaze suddenly became critical as she approached, tone not without some twisted, terribly hidden level of…Dare one say, fondness. The Red Queen, more than anything, liked having her protégé’s close at hand…Not just because the Omega’s were a lethal force when at a full compliment… But because proximity made it possible to keep them safe. “You -are- staying, aren’t you?”
Just like other things that had taken place months ago while on vacation…The sun goddess didn’t recall the rather vitriolic spat they’d had in Catalina. She didn’t at all recollect threatening to transfer her… Only the actual act of half melting the face of the enemy off, that was holding one of her own at gun point.
Even there, the details were hazy.
Cherry glossed lips parted to say something else when she saw a bright light send the flying contraption that Gabriel, Michael, and his little girl were watching hurtling down from the sky. That same strange feeling from not long ago returned, stronger. The air hummed with energy that shouldn’t be there… It was then that she noticed several distortions in the area, shapes forming as she watched beams of light shoot at the ground, a the security drones—The smaller satellite dishes.
The ground shook when the cloaked things landed, causing her to stance to widen so she could brace herself…But nothing prepared her for when the camouflage fell away and she found herself staring at several giant, badly color coordinated robots. Each were at least a story and a half tall. Maybe two.
The alarms at the school started going off, loud and deafening—Directing all of the younger students and patients from the infirmary to the Danger Room. A couple of the less experienced teams, and a few of the Professors would guard them…Keep them calm.
She took a step back as it raised its hand, discretely pressing the panic button on the side of her comm. She flinched as a translucent light scanned her person, sweeping over her head to toe.
“Two unregistered female mutants acknowledged. Identity unknown.”
The sun goddess didn’t blink, feeling tension mount between her shoulder blades. Something about them nagged at her subconscious… But she’d never seen anything like this before. “Surrender without aggression, and you will be spared.”
‘Surrender—‘, her mental musings were cut off by a familiar, unpleasant intrusion in her cranium.
~Don’t antagonize it Narcissa. Do -not- provoke it—That’s an order. The X-Men are coming up from the war room… There are a dozen of them on campus.~
Narcissa looked up at the robot, expression blank…Silently fuming at the order to stand down. Some of the other oversized T1000’s started preaching about capture and calling them unregistered mutants…Slowly, parts of the puzzle started clicking in for her. None at the Academy had registered. The deadline had been four days prior…Were these just big metal cowboys sent to wrangle up the cattle?
“Well, Psyche.”, she drawled, unwilling to use their names…The big hunks of metal didn’t seem to know who they were—And she was damn happy to keep in that way. “Welcome back.”
No sooner had she uttered those words, than some kind of reinforced, weighted, metal net shot out of the robots hand—Seeking to catch both her and Maddy in one go.
Her eyes narrowed, slowly turning hellfire white. Don’t provoke it? Riiight… "Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire."

Those alarms are loud "AGH!" was the one sound that escaped his lips when the campus alarms went off. They reminded him much like the fire alarms in public school, just louder and more informative. His shirtless self plugged his ears with his pinkies and he headed out of his room and down into the Foyer for a better look at what was going on. It wasn't until he passed one of the over sized windows that he had any idea of why the alarms were going off. Standing outside of the mansion were huge, hideous figures that just happened to be decorated in Leion's favorite colors, though in a far less appealing way. Giant Robots. Just what the Academy needed right after prom, though he shouldn't have expected anything different, after all the prom itself hadn't been attacked. But what were these robots going to do? Didn't they realize that about a third of the people in this mansion have fought things far scarier looking than them? Leion was surprised that a call out to the Omega's hadn't come from Narcissa yet, was she still asleep? No with these sirens he doubted anyone was still asleep. ~Stay inside Leion, I have already ordered Narcissa to stand down. The X-Men are coming up from the War Room.~So the 'adults' were going to handle it? Well that's great, but it's not going to stop these alarms from giving him a headache. All he could really do now was direct the younger students towards the Danger room and keep them away from the windows in the Foyer. The least he could do was keep the younger, more vulnerable students from getting in the "visitors' " line of sight, at least until the "real X-Men" were out there fighting and maybe needing some assistance. Name: Leonardo Rossi Team: Alphas Location: Kitchen - Outside Confused Beyond Measure… This Shouldn’t Be Happening A woman he hadn’t met before (Michelle) walked into the kitchen, asking how everyone’s day was going. “Good, you?” asked Leo, taking another bite of yogurt. In actuality, this had been one of the best mornings he’s had at the Academy. Everything just seemed so… right. A good run and swim, breakfast… he was finally finding a good morning routine to fall into. And so many new people to meet… it seemed like yesterday that he was helping Bella out with orientation of a whole new group of Alphas.
Raine introduced the new Alpha to Leo, and he nodded to her. Vee was her name… which was rather interesting, but then again, there were a bunch of other weird names around the Academy as well. She demonstrated her power by freezing a water bottle – or more specifically, the water inside of it. So she was a cyrokinetic… nice. Those were always good additions to any sort of mutant team. The ability to freeze an enemy was a very prized one to have – it got things done fast.
Just then, Jacen walked in, asking what sort of question Vee had asked. “What our powers are; you know, basic mutant greetings and all that,” Leo answered, because really, what was the first thing mutants did when they meet? Show off their powers. In response to Vee, Leo said, “Well, I can’t really showcase mine in this type of setting… but I’m an animal mimic. I can copy the property of nearly any animal. I mostly copy bugs though – which is actually more beneficial than you might think.” He finished his yogurt, throwing the empty container and the plastic spoon into the trash can.
Roland stepped in then, starting the makings of a rather large breakfast. He offered eggs to anyone who wanted them. Leo felt tempted… and reluctantly shook his head no. “None for me, thanks,” he nodded to the Omega. After a yogurt or protein bar was when Leo did a set of sit-ups and push-ups to keep his upper body muscular, and then he usually waited to eat a big lunch later on. Eating a big plate of eggs now might make him puke later… which he didn’t want.
And then that’s when he heard it… or felt it, rather. The feeling of something hitting the ground… a meteor? No, it was all over the campus… What in the world was it, then? Curious, Leo approached the window… and saw them. Sentinels. His heart skipped a beat… what in the world were they doing here? His mind started racing, trying to find an answer. The Sentinel program had been shut down after the Genosha incident, with a smaller, more productive and less-property damage causing way of apprehending mutants… which eventually turned into the Mutant Operations and Response Team… MORT. Leo had been a field leader for one of the units, so he was very familiar to how it worked. But MORT was still active, even when he left… then it hit him. The riots. The recent heat-up in mutant violence. The Sentinels must have been reinstated at some point… and now they were looking for them.
Something clicked inside of Leo – it was something from when he was in SHIELD. His tactical switch had been turned on… and it was hard to turn off. Quickly turning around, he was soon spouting off orders to people without even really realizing it. “Vee, gather the younger children and take them down to the basement… towards the Danger Room.” He looked to the woman he didn’t know (Michelle), and Jacen. Not having time to be subtle, he said, “If you have a power that can help take down giant robots, you’re with me. If not, go with Vee.” Looking over to the other two left in the room, he nodded to them. “Raine, Roland… you’re with me.” He knew that Raine’s power was electrokinesis, which would be extremely helpful against huge machines. And he knew that if anyone could take a hit from a Sentinel, it was someone who could generate armor around himself.
He didn’t bother trying to communicate with Bella or anyone else – they would obviously know what was going on by now, especially with the alarms going off. Leo started to head outside… but was stopped by a voice in his head.
“Leonardo – stop. Do not engage the Sentinels. The X-Men can handle this.”
The former SHIELD agent paused, his hand on the doorknob to the outside. I’m not going to let another Genosha happen here, he replied mentally. That was one of the reasons he had become so fearful – he knew what the Sentinels had done to the mutant inhabited island. We both know exactly how this is going to go. They’ll tear this place apart and take anyone who has an active X-Gene. Talking to them isn’t going to do anything.
More commands started to ring through his head, but Leo brushed them off – he was in war-mode now. He motioned for Raine and Roland to still follow him outside. For Emma’s sake, he was going to adhere to the Geneva Convention – do not attack until attacked first. It was his way of justifying what he was going to do – because he knew that they would attack. There was no doubt about it.
As they crossed the front yard, a Sentinel was already approaching them. It’s blank, yellow stare looked down on them, already trying to identify them. Leo stopped about thirty feet away from it, not showing any sort of fear on his face… although there was a touch of it in his heart. He had fought these guys in simulations, but never in real life. He queued up his ant strength… it was his best weapon against them. This was so intense… but at least he wasn’t doing it alone.
“Mutants detected. Identifying…” the Sentinel spoke in that horrifying voice that reminded Leo of the sound of shredding metal that happened to form words. Leo always thought that it was somewhat funny… and stupid that Sentinels spoke exactly what they were doing. At least it kept them predictable. Finally, it spoke again. “One unregistered female mutant. One unregistered male mutant. All unregistered mutants must be placed into custody.” It paused, and seemed to look straight at Leo. It was quicker for him than it was for Raine and Roland. “Mutant identified. Leonardo Rossi. Mutation: Animal mimicry. Status: Fugitive. Rogue agent of SHIELD. Protocol: Capture alive. Destroy if arrest is resisted. Surrender for immediate acquisition, or be neutralized.”
Leonardo mentally cursed, glancing over to Raine and Roland. Him being a former government agent was supposed to be a secret – especially with what had been happening in recent weeks. Swearing them to secrecy would have to come later… right now, the Sentinel was raising its large, purple hand at them. A huge net shot out, which Leo knew was coming (he’d practiced this so many times before), and proceeded to tackle Raine out of the way. Starting to get back up, he muttered, “I hope you’ve got some juice in you, Glitter.” Well, it attacked. Now he could push back.
He leapt for the Sentinel, the ant strength in his legs carrying him towards the towering robot hulk. Flipping around, Leo kicked it in the head, knocking the Sentinel off balance. Managing to land on his feet, he noticed that another Sentinel had spotted them. It was a distance away… but it wasn’t a good thing, that they might have to fight two of them at once.
Just then, a figure ran by Leonardo… it was Kitty Pryde, codename Shadowcat. Just as the Sentinel was starting to regain balance, Shadowcat ran through its leg, messing with the technology inside. The Sentinel promptly lost control of its left leg, and proceeded to fall over. Shadowcat looked over to Leo. “I thought Emma told you not to engage them.” She gave him a certain look, one that wasn’t exactly angry or surprised at him. Shadowcat had helped Leo with his Krav Maga training a couple of times, so they were on friendly terms.
Leo rose an eyebrow at her and shrugged. “Hey, he started it.”
The Sentinel on the ground was still not out of the fight, and there was already another one approaching them, continually telling them to surrender. Like that would ever happen.((Shadowcat used with mod approval.))

OMEGA: Veritas and Wolverine Vs Sentinel.... seems a tad unfair. Gideon had simply laid there sprawled out on the grass as the suns rays dried his body after his dip in the lake. It was peaceful by the lake this particular morning. There weren't going to be many people out an about as their normally would be. Many would be nursing hang overs from drinking the spiked punch. It was amazing what people get away with. That punch was spiked so horribly even with out his heightened sense of smell one would easily be able to notice it. Never mind the fact that it was a given at an X function that the punch be spiked. Hell last time they went on vacation the air was spiked. Granted that particular situation was brought on by some villains to mess with the Alpha's and Omega's. Among other reasons. Sighing Gideon performed a kip-up to get to his feat. The former assassin would of much preferred to spend his day laying by the lake. But knew he really shouldn't. Running his hands threw his hair to get the brown locks out of his face, the pseudo clone set off back to the mansion proper. He desperately wanted to speak with Bella. But thoughts of the encounter at prom came to mind. His heart still pulled toward going to find the Alpha leader. Though his mind would pipe up with her comment on 'You aren’t an Alpha…You don’t have any business with me.......'. His pace came to a halt and he looked up to the sky once more as the clouds lazily swept through the skies as the winds carried them off to some other destination. It was so tempting to slip into his old walled of training from HYDRA, like he often did when he first arrived at the school. It was odd how the person who was the most responsible for him breaking that habit, now left him wanting to return to it. That just wasn't something he did anymore and so even though he may want to something in him just wouldn't allow it. Then he thought about Logan and how he hadn't seen the man with anyone in all his time at the school. Which brought on thoughts of how maybe folks like him weren't allowed that sort of happiness out of life. Maybe all the sins he has committed in his currently rather few years on this planet mean he is supposed to have no one. And the time he was given with Bella happened only so he could experience said happiness so the former HYDRA experiment would forever know the pain of it's loss. Gideon quirked an eyebrow as he was watching the skies. He could of sworn he saw something. For a brief second he thought he saw some distortion in the sky around a cloud. Did he really just see that? He sniffed the air but wasn't catching anything beyond the normal smells around the ground of the mansion. Next came his hearing again he wasn't hearing anything beyond the sounds he was used to. Shaking his head he just chalked it up to paranoia. The he started to make his way toward the mansion once more. Figured he should go snag some fruit maybe a little lunch meat from the kitchen before hitting the gym. It would do him some good to lay into a heavy bag for a while, maybe even do some work on a speed bag. What he really wanted was to have an all out fight. The clone contemplated asking Logan if he wanted to some brawling. The former assassin didn't get but a couple more yards towards the mansion, When all hell broke loose as brief flashes of scarlet light could be seen. Followed by more of the visual distortion he saw earlier, only this time it revealed large robots from hiding. Alarms roared to life signaling danger loudly. Gideon couldn't help but feel it was a tad late though should still leave those that needed to get to the safe areas to do so. One of the towering bots landed before him holding out one of it's hands so the palm was facing Gideon. "Unregistered male mutant detected. Identity: Unknown. Threat level: Unknown." There was a pause in the robot almost as if it was thinking. "Wolverine DNA detected in male mutant. DOES NOT COMPUTE. DOES NOT COMPUTE. DOES NOT COMPUTE."Gideon couldn't help but laugh while both cheering and cursing his own luck. Here he was wanting a good fight. Now here was one but it was also trouble for all at the institute which wasn't something he wanted. "Initiate capture." The robot spouted as a metal cord came out of his palm intent on snaring Gideon. Gideon jumped and rolled to the side unleashing his claws. "Going to have to do better then that." Veritas said as she slashed through the metal tentacle. The tentacle retracted after being cut. Just as he started to charge the Sentinel as his claws met it's right leg, Logan aka the Wolverine attacked it's left from behind. "I feel almost bad for the tin can now." Gideon said as he and Logan skidded to a halt on either side of the robot. "Yeah well there was no use in telling you to stand down. So enough talk lets trash it." Wolverine shot back. The Sentinel seemed to scan from side to side. "Damage to legs. Mutant Wolverine detected. Threat level: Extreme. Capture unlikely."The scientists back at HYDRA would be creaming their pants at the sight. The Wolverine fighting with their clone of Wolverine. The two circled opposite the robot leaving it confused as to which to attack. It decided Wolverine as it was a known threat and attempted to blast the elder mutant. Using the opening Veritas charged in and began to climb up the back of the leg. ((((((( OOC: Post read mod approved. )))))))))

"There is a war coming, are you sure you're on the right side?" Omega's Name: Farren Brown but everyone calls me Crazy
Location: Ringside to the Wolverine & Mini Me vs Sentinel match up. Remarks: Sure, just drop on in, not like any of us have lives or anything, where we orchestrate our entire day around the possibility of you showing up....Oh wait, that's right, we do. Damn. Well, at least let me roll out the welcome mat for ya. ╘═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛ Farren had peacefully fallen back asleep next to the lake as the rays of the sun warmed her skin comfortably. She only realized this fact after the ground shook under her and she suddenly bolted upright, sleep shaking off her as the floramancer scanned the area for the disturbance. Her pulse quicken and her stomach felt filled with lead as beams of light flashed in the direction of the mansion. Not wasting a moment more than she needed to, Farren re-adorned her boots while narrowing her eyes, hoping to see past the trees. Whatever the intruders were, they were heavy and had dropped down onto the grassy knoll near the archery range. Once her boots were in place, and her feet no longer touching the earth, her sense of the intruders through the vegetation vanished.
Farren moved through the trees speedily but quietly, towards the mansion but just before she could break into the clearing separating her from the others, the ground quaked again, this time much closer than the first (far too close for Farren's comfort), and her balance rocked. Grabbing a hold of a tree trunk to keep upright, she felt the closest intruder and the dread in her stomach grew as she realized what had just arrived in their back yard. The automated toned voice "Initiate capture." confirmed what she all ready knew to be true.
Sentinels
Farren forced herself to let go of the tree she had now in a death grip, her knuckles having turned white. With a few more strides she was at the edge of the tree line, thought to be hidden in the shadows, where she watched as Wolverine and another mutant (Gideon/Veritas) charged the legs of the towering menace masquerading as security for a fear-driven society. Her head immediately went to 'Defend & Destroy' mode, as her outpost as so affectionately called it, but before she could even lift her foot to step out into the clearing, her communicator hummed and a tickled at the back of her head stopped her in her tracks. Farren swatted the air behind her head on reflex, before recognizing the tell-tale signs of telepathy.
"Do not engage until instructed otherwise! Reinforcements are on their way. A glance down at her communicator confirmed the same command. A command she wasn't sure she could follow. Farren finally decided to kneel down, one knee up and the other bent down touching the ground, body posed to literally spring into action when she got the go-ahead. Her hand brushed the grass in a lazily motion and dread filled her heart as she felt more and more of the retched machines of death land. This was too much, this was supposed to be home. Her home. Why did it seem they always had to fight for their right to merely exist? How much more could they take before it was too much?
"At least I've chosen a side." Academy X: Our professors are just a bunch of mules.

We had magic...and this is tragic. I feel like my world has been infected.. Somehow you left me neglected.. We felt our life has been changed... Babe, you lost me.
Code Name: Siren Team: Alpha Location: Academy - Music Lab - Main Level Ability: Sound Manipulation Singing: NothingRecording Music █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ She hid against Blake. The alcohol that ran through her system had likely encouraged her reaction to being…In kinder terms, called a whore. Never in her life had she thought anything like that would have ever left Gideon’s mouth regarding her person. As if things weren’t terrible enough…The sudden, unbearable ache in her chest made her wish she could just fade away.
In so few words, Veritas had dashed her heart to complete ribbons. “I’m sorry…”, she kept whispering over and over, her voice hoarse from what sounded like disuse.
Bella wasn’t used to this feeling…Wasn’t used to heartbreak. Gideon had always been there to pick up the pieces. Even when it turned out she was little more than an experiment orchestrated by Nathaniel Essex. He’d killed the Blob, and whomever else stood in his path for kidnapping her… And now…
She cried. Simply cried. There was no way else to explain it. No pretty way to describe the anguish that tore from her. The way her mascara ran. It was clear that it wasn’t just her spat with Gideon… But everything building up over the past few months, spilling out all at once. So much guilt and fear swallowing her. Losing one of the people that mattered to her the most, that was closest to her, had started the breaking of the dam.
The Siren was silent during the drive back to the Academy, dark hair hiding her face. Exhaustion pulled at her… She’d not slept in days. Her arms slid around Blake’s neck as he lifted her from the car, face remaining tucked against his shoulder. She was grateful that he didn’t ask questions…Didn’t force her to talk. All she wanted to do was curl up and disappear… Her keys were surrendered without thought.
Tired, sad eyes caught sight of Blake’s shirt, stained with her makeup. The notion that she would need to have it dry cleaned was one of the last things she remembered.
♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥
The songstress wiped tears from her cheeks as she listened to the song playing back at her through the head phones… It wasn’t particularly beautiful, nor was it very well recorded. To be honest, she sounded a little flat in the last verse. What made her tremble with silent sobs was the simple fact that she couldn’t stop her heart from breaking everytime she took a breath. She’d taken to holding it for as long as she could. Which, with her expanded lung capacity, was quite a long time. It was a temporary fix…That definitely, didn’t last long enough.
It was over. They, were over.
So many years of fighting for one another—And for what? For it all to crash down in flames…As if it had never meant anything at all. Gideon had made so much progress over the years… But still…Not enough to know when his girlfriend was falling apart. Not enough to be able to trust her.
In the end… It just wasn’t enough.
The fight they’d had…That wasn’t how she’d wanted that conversation to go. Her suggestion would have been space. Time, to talk about the things that were driving a wedge between them. She felt ashamed and guilty for striking him… She shouldn’t have. She truly shouldn’t have. For that, when she could face him… She would apologize.
But she wouldn’t ask for forgiveness for what she’d said. It had been the truth. If he thought she could ever use him…Use anyone like that…He never knew her at all.
Her comm went off, the sound of Thomas’ voice meeting her ears…Of course, he would want to check her hand. Elixir had made short work of the worst of it as Scott’s behest. Isabella’s voice was soft, quiet, and broken. “All right Tom…You can check it after lunch.”
Bella hadn’t thought to look for her keys yet. She also didn’t recall giving them up to Blake… But she did know she needed to find some way to thank him for taking care of her. He was always…So good to her, when she needed it most.
It wasn’t long before she heard the sounds of metal hitting the earth from above ground. Her head tilted upward, curious…Only for blazingly loud alarms to start going off. Her hands flew over her ears, on top of the headphones as her vision blurred for a moment. A sonic boom formed around her in an instant, pushing outward, shattering the glass in the recording studio…Breaking most of the equipment to smithereens.
Normally she had better control—The destruction in the room surprised her as the sound board sparked. Not a moment later, her comm went off. Most of it was static, as if something was interfering with communication. “Siren…. the Alpha’s…. down.”
Feeling her heart tighten with what the incomplete message meant, she forced the broken and blocked door open with an equally vicious sonic scream. Property damage was something she liked to avoid…But the sound booth was already in shambles. And whatever was going on topside…
Moments later found hers staring out an oversized window in the lounge, not having said a word to any of the occupants—Including Thomas, Lillian, Tara or Blake. Her emerald eyes remained wide and surprised. Emma’s voice echoed in her head, like it had for most of the rest of the student body. Fear etched through her…Most students wouldn’t know what they were looking at… But Isabella did.
The mother of an old friend had been killed by one of these things on Genosha…As well as millions of other mutants. “Sentinels…”
Most knew the word. Few knew what they actually looked like. These were larger. Much larger.
“s**t.”
Isabella rarely swore. Anyone on her team would know that. No matter the situation…No matter the reason. Her eyes turned back to the quartet in the room, spotting a dark haired girl in the Game Room, Gracie. “Thomas—Go get her. Stay away from the windows.” Not like staying out of sight would help. The girl definitely had to be a new Omega…She knew her face…But her name alluded her. Outside, she could hear some of her Alpha’s already in the fray…Hear the mechanical voice totally blow Leonardo’s cover.
“s**t.”
There weren’t enough X-Men on base for a full scale attack. The Phoenix and the Professor were gone…Storm was with them. Cyclops, Frost, Wolverine, Shadowcat, Gambit, Marvel Girl, Beast, Forge, Nightcrawler and Cannonball came to mind immediately. Psylocke and Colossus would default to protecting the elementary students in the danger room…Most of the other X-MEN were off campus, working on the problems in New York caused by the Registration Act.
Pressing her comm she rang Scott. Reception was better when she wasn’t in the sub levels. But still, not great. “Cyclops—Some of the Alpha’s are already fighting… Once they’ve targeted them they aren’t going to back down. There’s nothing to do but retaliate.”
Isabella swore as Scott again told her to hold her position and stay out of sight…He ordered her to pull the Alpha’s off the field…How could she, when the robots would barrel right through the mansion? Her eyes fell to Blake…Wondering if he remembered as clearly as she did. Her lips pressed into a thin line and she sighed slowly, trying to keep from imagining the color her mentors face was about to turn… “Scott…I’m sorry.”
Glancing at the dark haired girl that she’d sent Thomas to grab, she bit her lip…Wishing she wasn’t chucking her into this kind of situation. “I’m Bella…And I’m sorry ahead of time., I can’t remember your name off hand. This is not going to be a good day. There enemies outside that are really… Hazardous.”
“You have two choices…Come outside with us…Or head down to the Danger Room where it’s a little more secure. You’re not on my team…But staying on the upper levels alone wouldn’t be safe. Fair warning...Fighting might get you in trouble with Emma.”
Nodding her head to the two men and three women, she turned towards the door…Holding her hands in front of her so they couldn’t see them shake. Bella had suffered from nightmares for years, the last time she’d come into contact with these things…”Tara, Lillian—If our new friend decides to accompany us…Please keep an eye out for her.”
Speaking into the comm, she gave her orders that directly countermanded those of the the Headmaster and the Headmistress. “Alpha’s—This is an update. We will be mobilizing outside in the courtyard. Do NOT engage one of the robots alone. They are armed, and dangerous.”

Fall to your knees and hail to the freaks!
Fall to your knees and hail! | Lydia Orchid Autumn | Omega | Prehensile Hair | Orchid's room / Halls | xx At some point in the night, when she was absolutely sure that Farren was feeling much better, Orchid left the floramancer's side and went off to the prom once a wardrobe change was in order. She did not stay for long, however, deciding that it was all much too boring for her. She ended up going to bed much earlier than what was typically expected of her. It occurred to her as she woke up that it was entirely possible that she was probably one of the few in her age group on campus that did not wake up with another body lying next to them, and she was strangely okay with that. She looked over across from her and noticed that Farren was not lying in the bed a few feet from her own. After the ordeal of the night before, she certainly hoped that her friend was okay. She could not help but feel a pang of guilt in the pit of her stomach, as though she should have stayed by the floramancer's side the whole night. But sometimes one needed to be alone to deal with whatever issues they had.
After a few minutes of silently laying there in her bed, thinking of her friend, she eventually found the energy to get up out of bed. For the first time in what felt like forever, she actually woke up with a clear mind instead of the persistent banging against her head that usually came from drinking heavily and the spiteful b***h known to all as the hangover. She could not say it was unpleasant; much as she loved her booze, she hated hangovers just as much. She eventually made her way to the bathroom to take a shower and start her day the right way. Naturally, she never once suspected that beneath her bed was waiting one of her... less conventional friends. Upon stepping into the shower she pulled her head back, leading deep crimson locks fall over her shoulders.
Unlike most girls, Orchid did not need to necessarily wash her hair. Her power allowed her to simply go bald one second, then re-grow a fresh head of hair in moments. It was the same reason she never had to shave much like most girls; it was a little known fact to most that control of her hair extended to all hair grown from her body, and not just on her head. She simply had a preference for using the hair on her head as a weapon; it also looked much better to use hair from her head than say using hair from her forearms or the like. But personally, she liked how it felt to have her wet hair on her shoulders. She usually liked to stand for a few minutes with her eyes closed as the hot water poured onto her, mostly thinking about the previous day or how the following day might go. Unfortunately, before she could lose herself in thought, a certain familiar predator decided she would make herself known as only she knew how.
Just as Orchid was finding herself soothed by the water spraying over her head, her friend Aspen decided it would be fun to jump in the shower with her and surprise her when her defenses were low. In moments she felt the redhead's arms tightly envelope around her chest, eliciting an uncharacteristically loud squeal that escaped her lips before her attitude swiftly changed to a defensive one. Her hair coiled, ready to strike whoever was so stupid as to attack her from behind. But before she can wrap her thick locks around the perpetrator's neck, the woman holding her yelled out something that stopped Orchid dead in her tracks. Before she could continue in her attack, the Latina found herself bursting in laughter. Truly she knew how to pick her friends. Upon Aspen releasing her, she turned toward her friend and flashed a clearly amused smirk in her direction, not making any attempt at modesty whatsoever. "Really Aspen, I appreciate the enthusiasm, but if you wanted to get in the shower with me all you needed to do was ask. I could never say no to you."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
After leaving the shower and getting dressed, Orchid found herself hanging out with Aspen, working on her own make-up as the two discussed various things. It was all typical girl small talk as she got herself ready for whatever the hell the day had in store for them. After a few minutes, the two finally left her room and slowly made their way to the kitchen for some breakfast, continuing their typical small talk as they went along. But before they could get anywhere near the kitchen, there was a massive rumbling on the ground below them, enough so that Orchid nearly tripped on her step. She quickly corrected herself before running toward a nearby window, having a feeling that whatever caused it came from outside. The sight outside was one that only served to fuel her hate for those damned peasant humans even more; lavender-coated metals in the form of a rather large humanoid, the infamous mutant-hunting machines known as the Sentinels. "Those ******** humans..." she muttered to herself, but still loud enough for Aspen to hear her.
Before she could do anything, she felt a familiar voice inside her head, that of the headmistress Emma Frost. "Seriously? Don't provoke it? Those tin cans are out here to kidnap and kill us, and that bimbo wants us to stand down? ******** that!" As if on its own, the hair manipulator's fist pounded downward against the windowsill as hard as she could. Not long after, a message came over one of the comms, but it was not her own. Aspen's comm sparked with the voice of the Alphas' leader, asking that all Alphas assist in fending off the massive robots; frankly, she was kind of shocked that Narcissa hadn't given a similar order. "Well then, I guess we should get going," she said with a smirk. "Not my team, but there's no way in hell I'm gonna be shown up by an Alpha." She joked, but naturally she was more than happy to take down the human stain's death machines.
"I have an idea, but I'll need you to punch a hole or two in them. Do you need me to slap you around a bit?" she asked in reference to the girl's powers, knowing that Aspen needed to absorb kinetic energy to become as strong as she needed to be.
((OOC: Apologies for the crappy post, but at least I'm back and my computer is all fixed up, so I'll be able to post now. Also, auto'd Aspen with permission.)) Assimilate your world of hate. Life gone wrong, but I'm still strong. Look to me and you will see; can't keep us down, we wear the crown My place, my time, I take what's mine. We bow to none. We stand as one. Assimilate your world of hate; can't keep us down, we wear the crown.

Kerrigan Schwartz Codename: Knoxx Team: Omega Location: Kerri and Cissa's Room Current Thoughts: It's always something... The redhead apparently had a knack for making the situation awkward when he came to men, but apparently that wasn’t enough to cause Roland to run away at the very beginning. She asked for him to be patient with her – so far they’d been able to be open and honest with one another, so there was no reason not to continue that trend now – and he responded by asking her to be patient with her as well. “ Of course,” she responded with a smile, not pressing the issue further. One of the reasons she and Narcissa got along so well was because she didn’t press issues. She assumed that people would tell her things when they wanted her to know – there was no reason to make it seem like an interrogation. He seemed to think that their fraternization would be good for him, and she had to admit that it would probably be good for her as well. While laying around with him was nice, she was starting to get that feeling that it was time for her to get moving, for fear Cissa walk in on them as they were now. She dressed in at least her undergarments before slipping out from under the covers and crossing to her closet to get something to wear, glancing over her shoulder with a grin when he questioned her use of the phrase “walk of shame.” It was good to know that he wasn’t ashamed of being with her the night before. Did he say that he was proud of it? She heard him dressing himself as Kerrigan decided on an outfit for the day, asking if he wanted to get some breakfast. He asked for 10 minutes, surprising her with a kiss on the cheek when she turned around from getting dressed. Another grin spread across her features, form leaning against the closet door as her green eyes followed him out the door. “ Sounds good,” she “called” after him, teeth closing down softly over her bottom lip. Once he was gone, she moved to make the bed, not wanting to give the blonde any more reason to mock her than she already head. Almost as if on cue, the Omega leader’s silky voice came over her comm., joking with her about the events of the night before. Her cheeks flushed pink, knowing that this was not going to be a secret that she could keep for long. Apparently this was a secret that she couldn’t keep at all. “ A lady doesn’t kiss and tell…right away. He’s making me breakfast, so meet me after?” Again, the redhead stepped in front of the mirror, wanting to make sure that she was somewhat composed before heading out to the hallways to get something to eat. There seemed to be a bounce in her step as she made her way through the hallways, hands slipping into the back pockets of her capris. However, she didn’t get far before she heard the sounds of something landing. Several things landing. Kerrigan didn’t have time to really think, her body simply leaping out of the way as something slammed into the ground just outside the hallway, causing the windows to shatter and spray glass her direction. Her body rolled forwards, hitting hard against the ground before she turned her attention to the now hole in the wall. “ Unidentified Mutant Female. X-gene Active. You will be taken into custody for registration.” Kerrigan’s eyes widened as she scrambled to her feet, again leaping out of the way as the machine attempted to grab her from where she stood. Was this really happening? From the sounds of it, there were other machines around the campus, no doubt attempting to capture others as well. “ Halt,” the Sentinel demanded, its hand slamming into her and sending her flying against the wall. Her body landed in a heap on the ground, a pained cry involuntarily spurting from her throat as she again scrambled forward to avoid capture. “ Get the ******** out of the hallway, Kerrigan,” she muttered to herself, getting to her feet and timing herself to vault over the machine’s outstretched arm and take off running down the hallways. There was no reason to call Cissa – the woman must know that they were there. The order for the moment was getting the hell away from whatever these machines were. She could regroup with everyone later. (( OOC: Please feel free to encounter Kerrigan, if you want someone to interact with! PM me and we can work it all out. J ))

The Omegas: Outside Aurelie's Dorm |831|"Are you lost in your lies? Do you tell yourself, 'I don't realize.' Your crusade's a disguise. Replaced freedom with fear, You trade money for lives. I'm aware of what you've done." ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Felix gave the blond another 'oh really' look as Aurelie mentioned him telling Cissa if he liked. "You must have a death wish. I like that in a girl. And yes Dom is okay to have friends outside red and black just as I have friends outside them. It's just the whole 'distracting him while he should be studying thing' that would be no good. Cissa wouldn't like him dating blue and black, but I doubt she would harm the blue and black in question." That could just all be wishful thinking though. The blond walking sun had refrained from harming Raine at prom, but that could have been a rare occasion.
Amusement well hidden behind a mask of indifference, Felix watched the blond telekinetic's reaction to his words. Her words were met with a shrug. "I never said I was going to stir up trouble in the first place. If you have heard of my reputation though, you know that it all depends on a mere whim." That was a lie as Felix wasn't going to turn her in anyway, but Felix rather liked his reputation and had worked hard to get it where it was currently. It wouldn't do to have it shattered by one chance encounter. Aurelie began to ask something before she seemed to dismiss her though. Remaining indifferent on the outside his amusement only grew. He was going to like this blond.
Watching her storm off Felix thought better to let his eyes wander in case she turned around. His self control proved a good idea as the blond did indeed turn around and address him again. "Oh so you have been spending a lot of time with him huh?" It was his way of subtly letting the blond know she had provided him with further ammo to use should he feel inclined. Of course he wasn't going to use it, but she didn't need to know that. He was having too much fun teasing her. At her offer to accompany her to breakfast, Felix gave a nod and in the blink of an eye was next to her waiting for her to start walking. "Let's hope you change faster than the typical teenage girl then."
Walking with the blond back to her room the journey wasn't long and he remained outside as the blond went about changing. As he stood outside the door a small explosion in the distance caught his ears and walking to the window figuring it to just be the usual science experiment gone wrong, was very surprised to see a large robot standing just outside scanning the grounds. Eyes going wide he was out of in front of the window immediately and as Aurelie came out of the room motioned for her to get away from the window. "Short version we are under attack by large robots. That or one of Forge's inventions went horribly wrong." That was always a possibility.
Mind working out a plan quickly he smirked as he looked at the blond. His expression told her she might not like what plan had formed in his mind. "How do you feel about being carried around and attacking?" Letting her work out his plan for herself he awaited her reaction while clearly showing he was amused. "Before you respond, think about it. With me running you around, they won't be able to target us very quickly, and then you can do your thing telekinetically to smash them to pieces or protect others or whatever it is you do. It's a great plan." At the very least he thought so. Before moving to put the plan into action however, Felix received a telepathic message from Emma telling him to stand down.
'Relax Frost I have a plan that is practically foolproof so....' He couldn't get much further into his explanation before Emma interrupted him again eliciting a sigh. 'Sorry can't hear you..... breaking.... contact late... static....' Yes he did just pull that on the headmistress who was using telepathy. The woman tried to get him to respond, but with another roll of his eyes it was clear he was just going to ignore her leaving further messages moot. "Frost is on board with my plan Blondie so climb on and try not to grip me too tightly. I know it's not everyday you have your arms around such a hottie, but please try to restrain yourself. I don't want scratch marks on my shoulders from something as normal as a piggyback ride."
Grinning he waited for her to climb on his back. Piggybacking her while she attacked the things with her telekinesis was a sound idea in his mind. "Well what are you waiting for? The longer we take the more chance everyone else get's hurt. Us working together could do some real damage." It's not like Felix could do anything to the robots with his power. Confuse the hell out of them? Yes. Hurt them? Not likely.
(OOC: Pm me if I missed something.)

Name: Raine "Glitter" Burke Team: Alphas Power: Creation and Manipulation of Electricity Location: Kitchen Apparently, the kitchen was a popular destination point, and there were more people up already than she would have anticipated. Michelle made her way in as well, asking how everything was going. It was a loaded question, so Raine simply responded with a silent shrug. Those questions were for people that didn’t actually have anything negative to say. She didn’t want to unload her problems on someone who was really still a stranger at this point. The brunette fell silent after she was sure that [v]Vee knew everyone in the room, and she was comfortable that they knew who she was as well. The topic of conversation turned to their powers, which was a natural jump. The girl responded by reaching over to a bottle of water and freezing the liquid inside without so much as batting an eyelash. Leo seemed to think that was a nifty power, and Raine had to agree with him. She was always amazed at what the others in the Academy could do. The tables were turned on them, Leo going first and explaining the general nature of his power to their new teammate. Jacen, who seemed in search of something sugary for breakfast, inquired as to what they were talking about as the firefly returned his smile with one of her own. They were joined by another relatively new face ( Raphael), offering him a small wave before it was her turn to explain her mutation. “ I’m an electrokinetic, which is basically just what it sounds like. I channel and store electricity,” she said simply, giving a small shrug of her shoulders. It wasn’t as cool as most people’s powers. In fact, it often just got in the way, given her aversion to water. But she’d been working with the staff for long enough now that she was at least starting to get the hang of it. That didn’t stop her skin from glittering whenever she got riled up. Now that she thought about it, it made the events of the prior evening even more impressive – she’d been emotionally charged, but managed to keep it under the surface this time. And then, she realized that she was thinking about last night. It wouldn’t do well for her image to start crying in front of everyone right now. Not when there were so many events coming up that she was heading the committees for. Roland was the next to join them, the brunette giving him a small nod of acknowledgment as he seemed to be in a particularly good mood. His prom obviously ended much better than hers did. He offered eggs to anyone that wanted some, Raine politely declining as Leo did the same. Before she had a chance to think too much on the subject, however, there were loud sounds coming from outside, her arms slowly falling from their position over her chest as she followed Leo’s gaze out the window as several large robots landed on the grounds. “ What the…” she whispered to herself, attention snapping over to Leo as she heard him directly say her name. He wanted her to go with him? Did he know her at all? Clearing her throat, the brunette gave a simple nod, trying to shake the panic from her before it had a chance to really sink in. She set off after him as he exited the kitchen, pausing for a moment as their makeshift “leader” seemed to wait for a moment. No doubt, it was Emma sending orders to those she knew would step up. Once upon a time, Raine might have been the recipient of them – not in her current mindset. They continued outside, however, Raine stopping with the rest of the group as one of the robots rounded it’s cold yellow stare on her and the others. “ Custody? They can’t do that, what about basic civil rights. Who the hell do these people think they are,” she called out, hazel eyes turning to Leo when the robot identified him by name, branded a fugitive. Before she could really process through everything that was happening, however, she felt body weight slam into her, Leo tackling her out of the way of a net shot out by one of the robots. It was like he knew what was going to happen. Whoever sent these machines were serious – this was not some sort of political stunt. Getting up from her spot on the ground, she looked at Leo, simply giving a nod. She was always charged – it was hard for her not to be when there was static electricity all around. Kitty came streaking by them to enter the fray, Raine’s attention turning to one of the approaching sentinels instead of listening to the conversation between student and teacher. “ Surrender or be destroyed.” As the approaching sentinel moved to shoot something at them, as the previous one had done, Raine was already on the move, closing the distance between herself and the machine as her skin took on it’s characteristic glittering appearance. Sparks began to consentrate around her hinds as she sent two strong arcs of electricity towards their opponent. It stunned the machine long enough for her to reach it, placing her palms flat against the metal exterior to pump another strong pulse of electricity into the metal. Circuits sizzled, sparks flew, the robot freezing in place before Raine withdrew her touch. She wasn’t sure if it was down for good or just forced to reboot, but whatever it was, she at least bought them a few minutes. “ What are these things,” she called out, eyes rounding on Leo. Her gaze was different now, not necessarily distrusting, but fearful. He knew more about what was going on than he mentioned at the outset - why? Why hadn’t he trusted his teammates with whatever truth they were facing now? If they were going to fight these things effectively, they would have to know these answers, and it seemed Leo was the only one that had them right now.

 [ ʈ | ɦ | ҿ ➸ S | i | z | e | - | S | h | i | f | t | i | n | g ]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxOmega - Hungover
Her poking him in the side did little to quell the staunch desire to hurl. Shielding his eyes in case she decided to be cruel and turn on the ligths, Aren groaned. “No.” He answered stiffly, rolling so that his back was against her as soon as she lifted the controller from his stomach. Another moan wrenched itself from his chest, and he buried his face into the pillow she'd provided him late last night as she explained just what the train that had hit him was called – as if he didn't remember. “Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.” The sound was muffled with his breathing into the fluffy box of cotton, but even still the noise it made wasn't what one could describe as happy. Not in the least.
Like many had said on the reservation, alcohol was not a Siksika's friend. Now he knew why. Repulsive, vile liquid that it was, caused him to want to banish his stomach and head to a separate continent. “Not by choice.” Aren corrected, remembering well the silent truce he'd made with his leader during the night. In exchange for civility toward his date, he needed to drink. The cost was high, but he wouldn't have changed his mind to make Raine unhappy.
However, this was never happening again. Famous last words during every hangover, but the native vowed it to be the truth.
Cammi moved to open the blinds – the plastic slates making enough noise that he winced. When had he acquired super hearing? Even the smallest of noises caused bits of pain to ping within his skull. At her remark that drinking was fun, he lifted a part of his face from the floor, so that she could hear him clearly. “Drinking is NOT fun. It's disgusting.” He'd not enjoyed imbibing last night, until after he was blitzed, and didn't have any more to push down his throat. “And awful. And had I had another way to make a truce last night, I would have opted for that.”
Pushing himself to stand, Aren's chocolate eyes were still tightly closed from view, the change of color in the back of his eyelids telling him that light was present in the room. Damn. “Why wasn't I in your bed?” He asked quizzically, still pained in his voice. “Don't you want me any more?” He asked, pretending to be hurt, but the hints of a smile were prevalent through his dimples.
“I need an aspirin.” The size shifter corrected, one hand going to ease some of the hurts in his head. Though the food she suggested wouldn't be a bad idea. Especially if it were something like a greasy, chili cheese dog. That actually sounded fabulous, even if his stomach churned just a bit at the thought of food.
He snorted at her question on whether or not he minded if she changed, though winced again when she pulled open the drawer – the sliding noise causing him to grit his teeth. “Guess because you exiled me to the floor, I'm not allowed to peak, am I?” He asked, clearly trying to get back to himself. “Or help...” If she remembered, he'd been good at that. Though, more so with the opposite, each time the clothes scattered in unique places.
If her parents had known, he'd have been booted from the Academy unceremoniously, and asked none too kindly not to return. Of that, he was certain.
It wasn't long after that sirens started going off, piercing noises that cause him to heave for a moment. Nothing came up, but the taste it'd left in his mouth hadn't been pleasant. “What in the name of Napi?” He exclaimed, hands instantly going to his ears. For the first time, his eyes shot open and he caught sight of the robots outside the window. “Some convention peop;e must have gotten their science project too close to the grounds.” He said, more unhappy with the noise than the large pieces of equipment outside.

Gabriel Byrne Location: Range Thoughts: And here's where all hell breaks loose Gabriel got a response from the now confirmed ex-Army gentleman with him on the range. After the demonstration with the drone, he saw that the little girl, who by his guess was his daughter was going to be acting as a spotter. An interesting sight to see. He then suggested that he strip a 249 down and build the drone around that in order to have a more mobile and active drone fighter. He'd thought about that, and it was likely going to be the result. However for the time being, he was working on getting the mobility and programming bugs out of the finished product. He fired off a few rounds, his little girl cheering as he sent rounds into the center of mass. He was then questioned about his ability, which lead to him putting down his rifle and then shifting his right arm into the cannon form he was so comfortable. "My body naturally synthesizes a form of tungsten carbide. Using excess levels of energy that my body stores I can launch bolts of the metal out of my arms. Best way to describe it is I'm a living Howitzer." he explained, he was about to show him by likely turning one of the targets into splinters. But he was then interrupted by the sight of his drone going down in a flaming mess. He was then confronted by the sight of a Sentinel. He'd heard about these, his dad had shown him what they were and what they were capable of. This was not good because he was also aware that with these things, where there was was one there were going to be plenty more. Lifting his cannon arm towards the machine, ignoring its order to stand down he told the military man, "Get your little girl and go. I'll hold it off." The moment things were going bad, he was prepared to do what it takes to get people out of there safely. With some hope he'd be able to get to his workshop, or even the Armory and get some heavier hardware to compensate for his own limitations. Let's just hope he could make it there.
