Scarlet was boring into a regular, human family in the Devil's Eye Desert. Her life was pretty normal, spending her time hanging with her closest friend Linara, a Kiranu with whom she had a pretty heavy crush. Scarlet's life seemed like it would remain average until she took Linara to a lake outside the city limits to confess her feelings. In the middle of her confession, a skulking, scaly humanoid creature burst forth from the water, taking Scarlet in it's massive jaws. Linara quickly scrambled to get the help of the guards, but upon her return, found only the broken and bloodied Scarlet laying unconscious in the sand. After several months, Scarlet was nursed back to health, but it would later be revealed that the creature was a werecroc and it had passed it's curse onto Scarlet.
Since that day, there was an almost unquenchable flame burning inside Scarlet; a rage that seemed to trigger her transformation. A short while after her transformation, an odd series of murders swept the city. Though it was never proven, it was widely suspected that the city's new werecroc was responsible, earning her to nickname "Butcher of the Sands" after the condition the bodies were found. Scarlet would have surely been exiled, or even put to death, if it wasn't for Linara's ability to calm the burning rage within Scarlet. Now, with the help of Linara, Scarlet works to forever clam and gain control of her endless rage.

Born in Andalusia, her parents both of natural kiranu blood, Linara was one of the more curious people even at birth as from the moment she entered the world she took a simple view to everything around her; life in the desert was tribal, almost “primitive” in a way as she was raised by her mother to aid in the household while her father went to guard the city. Her mother taught her skills of cooking, rational thinking, maintaining an orderly home, and the art of maintaining a garden as a source of food and herbal remedies. Often sent away after doing her work, Linara would rush off to see Scarlet as much as possible as they had grown close over the years; even when the other children had been pressuring her to date some of them, or when she was just playing around with Scarlet, there were moments where she felt closer to Scarlet than anyone else.
During her early adolescence, Linara began to see Scarlet in a new light other than just a friend; before that time, everything had seemed so simple yet it had begun to change as they continued to grow. Somewhat bashful and afraid to lose Scarlet as a friend, Linara kept the feelings to herself and did the best she could to hide them; yet this kind of thing seemed to fail from time to time when Scarlet would suggest nearly date-like scenarios, especially blushing when asked to visit a lake with Scarlet one on one. Almost bursting with joy, Linara was anxious to impress her as she wore one of her more fine dresses; wearing a tight purple dress that showed off her form and came down to well above her knees, she was about to confess as well when a monstrous crocodile leaped out of the water and bit Scarlet. Rushing as fast as she could, she assembled the guards but it was too late, Scarlet nearly bitten to death as Linara watched her be carried away, feeling helpless. After the incident, seeing the wounds Scarlet drove Linara into a state of near madness, holding it together around Scarlet just enough for her to not notice it; at night, she never returned to her house nor ate or drank unless forced to, but instead crumpled and cowered within a section of the chapel in Andalusia. Every single god stayed silent in the face of her pleas as she went down the list, except for one: Pital, who had seen her tending of the gardens and her love of the earth. The goddess sent an envoy to the chapel in Andalusia, a cleric who approached her with the offer of the gift of restoring life; she offered a chance for Linara to just the ranks of the clerics if she had the willingness to follow Pital’s orders and wished to make a difference. Then she was put to training.
After failing the first week of training to cast a single healing spell on a wounded plant that they would allow her to practice on, she had nearly given up hope until with an all-determined mind she slipped inside the chapel one night and cupped her hands around the plant itself; feeling a small amount of energy flowing to and from the plant, she tilted her head and began to experiment with the energy, draining her own energy to bolster that of the plants’ own as it finally showed some signs of healing. With her confidence escalated and the minimal experience she had gained that night, Linara quickly rushed out of the chapel giddy and proclaimed her newfound skill to Scarlet the next day, jumping up and down in joy; amazed by her quick skills as most people took far longer than just one week to learn the art of healing, the Clerics gladly accepted her into their ranks and she became a trainee rapidly. Ever since then, she’s remained by Scarlet’s side to help her stay calm and keep her healthy.

Biwako was born and raised partly in the capitol city of Andalusia by two merchant parents who loved to deal in firearms. But during the raid of old she was taken by a band of thieves when she was four years old and raised as one of their own in the Island nation of Mau. It was there that Biwako fell in love with the sea. She of course joined up with a group of Pirates once she hit the ripe age of ten and learned everything she could from the thieves. She of course learned to sail when she was just 13. Two years later she became captain of a ship with her own crew, but she had the misfortune of her crew mutinying on her and dumping her a** on an uncharted island with a pistol with one shot in it to kill herself with. It was there that Biwako lived for a year surviving off the plants and fruit of the island until she could fashion her own two person dingy and sail off for the mainland of Mau. Growing up under the watchful eye of her parents, Kira was raised under the expected cult teachings of the Kakurenbo. She was taught more each waking day of her life, mostly just absorbing knowledge and not being aloud to leave the confines of her house. She dove into the uses of magic in the world, not being aloud to go play with other kids. She found that she could make her own friends, or at least bring some to her from other plains. The Tribe of the Moon has had a long standing in the Devil's Eyes pedigree of tribal members. They worshiped the moon and thrived in the night; ceremonies and celebrations were always blessed in Lunar nights. They say a child born under the moon is very fortunate, no matter the tribe they stem from. Sai Mooncarver was born to the family whose job was to craft beautiful weapons and artifacts from wood. Because wood was a rarity in the desert (only found in a rare oasis or sent from another Nation), great care was given to each task and each item they made was priced heavily. But when Sai was born, her parents were concerned; when encouraged to carve a small block of wood, the small girl looked confused and ran her fingers over every crevice of the block. Though they mistook her former "disinterest" as a child for being a rare stubborn trait gifted by the moon, the finally realized that their child was blind.
The elders of the tribe took great care to study her and on the fifth night of their observation, it was announced that the Mooncarver family had been gifted a Seer. The whole tribe cheered and praised the young, confused girl. As she aged and matured, the praise slowly wavered and suspicious started to set in. What could the Tribe of the Moon do with a blind girl who could not even see the Moon they worshiped? Could she even feel or enjoy the lunar rays? Did she sense the changes the moon displayed? After conferring with the elders, Sai took her name "Coyote" as the honorable name to signify her promise to commit to the moon as she left her family and tribe behind at the young age of 18.
Finding her way proved difficult, but she soon found her calling as a monk. The Creators were, after all, always a curious thing to her. They created all they saw and even the moon she cherished. Although she could not properly carry out the expectations of one Creator without breaking her vow to the moon, she decided to pray to all and found a monk life to be suitable to her.

The Tribe of the Moon has had a long standing in the Devil's Eyes pedigree of tribal members. They worshiped the moon and thrived in the night; ceremonies and celebrations were always blessed in Lunar nights. They say a child born under the moon is very fortunate, no matter the tribe they stem from. Sai Mooncarver was born to the family whose job was to craft beautiful weapons and artifacts from wood. Because wood was a rarity in the desert (only found in a rare oasis or sent from another Nation), great care was given to each task and each item they made was priced heavily. But when Sai was born, her parents were concerned; when encouraged to carve a small block of wood, the small girl looked confused and ran her fingers over every crevice of the block. Though they mistook her former "disinterest" as a child for being a rare stubborn trait gifted by the moon, the finally realized that their child was blind.
The elders of the tribe took great care to study her and on the fifth night of their observation, it was announced that the Mooncarver family had been gifted a Seer. The whole tribe cheered and praised the young, confused girl. As she aged and matured, the praise slowly wavered and suspicious started to set in. What could the Tribe of the Moon do with a blind girl who could not even see the Moon they worshiped? Could she even feel or enjoy the lunar rays? Did she sense the changes the moon displayed? After conferring with the elders, Sai took her name "Coyote" as the honorable name to signify her promise to commit to the moon as she left her family and tribe behind at the young age of 18.
Finding her way proved difficult, but she soon found her calling as a monk. The Creators were, after all, always a curious thing to her. They created all they saw and even the moon she cherished. Although she could not properly carry out the expectations of one Creator without breaking her vow to the moon, she decided to pray to all and found a monk life to be suitable to her.

Biwako was born and raised partly in the capitol city of Andalusia by two merchant parents who loved to deal in firearms. But during the raid of old she was taken by a band of thieves when she was four years old and raised as one of their own in the Island nation of Mau. It was there that Biwako fell in love with the sea. She of course joined up with a group of Pirates once she hit the ripe age of ten and learned everything she could from the thieves. She of course learned to sail when she was just 13. Two years later she became captain of a ship with her own crew, but she had the misfortune of her crew mutinying on her and dumping her a** on an uncharted island with a pistol with one shot in it to kill herself with. It was there that Biwako lived for a year surviving off the plants and fruit of the island until she could fashion her own two person dingy and sail off for the mainland of Mau. Since then Biwako has traveled all over scouting out places to steal from, stealing various artifacts, and making a name for herself.
