Okay, so one chip was better than no chips. She'd take it, but she couldn't leave it at that. She just couldn't. It didn't sit right with her. She couldn't just win one chip, she needed at least...two chips. Two chips and she'd be content. Come on. Please?
She turned the wheel one last time.

Damnit. The wheel had won. It had had the last laugh. b*****d! Junko's hair fell limp and she frowned, glaring down at the wheel. Fine! She conceded! "Stupid wheel. I hate you." She would have to go find Nuk later and plead to him to let her smash it, even if she had to literally hang off him like a child to do so. He'd...probably laugh at her for that.
This was actually very tempting to do, if only to make him laugh. She needed to make up for upsetting him.
"You win this time. But if we are to ever meet again. I will crush you." She paused. "Possibly literally. We'll have to see." And then she walked away, planting herself in a seat in front of one of the slot machines and pulling the lever.

Hmmmm. Nothing. Lucky for the slot machine it and Junko didn't have a longstanding history of epic failure. She'd let it have its victory, but Junko was determined. She would not lose...forever.
She pulled the lever a second time.

See? The slot machines were a million times nicer than the roulette wheel. Junko grinned and gave them a pat like an obedient little dog, giggling as she pulled the lever again. She felt better now.

"Yeah!" Roch said, grinning widely. "That's what I'm talkin' about! Great way to end the night," he said, tempted to steal the ball for luck. He didn't. But he sure as hell thought about it. Reluctantly he put the ball down and walked away.
He would miss that ball.

Huh! The slots machine was a lot nicer than the wheel! For real! Junko was feeling much better now, the two wins in a row from the slots giving her a renewed confidence. She sat up straighter, her hair perked up, and even the simple tug of the lever was somehow more confident than it was before.

Hmmm. Rats! She lost that one. But it's okay! She was still feeling good. She pat the slots machine. "I have to go back soon. But I'll try one last time, Mr. Slot Machine. You were a lot nicer than the roulette wheel." So it could live unharmed. Junko did not hate Mr. Slot Machine.
The roulette wheel, on the other hand...
