DEm-o yawn.... Why the hell is Vaan winning? I agree. neutral Zidane would so kick his a**... he picks up a weapon and Wham-Bam! Grand Lethal! Immediate use availible. Vaan. Buy the weapon/magick/technick. I love the license system! As long as you choose a specific style for Vaan, and develop that, then he can be strong. By the time you can find something you want in the shops, you probably have the licence points for it, unless your fingers are glued to the 'flee' buttons...

Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome, the license boards and all that jazz. It's just a matter of convience in this case, where Zidane doesn't have to have all this stuff to use his abilities.

I just look at Zidane and see someone who has a lot of life experience as well as some great travelling stories and I can't see Vaan ever living up to his worth as an adventurer. That and I think Vaan was pretty useless outside of quickenings. So I went with Zidane on this one.

Mm, toughie... I never really used any of them in battle myself, except for Fran, and none of them have anything really special going for them... But I'll have to say Fran, because she just seems strongest... Or rather, everyone else seems weaker.
(Sorry, lame reason... I'll hold off voting in case someone brings something interesting up.)

Cid... Because I always found Kimahri lame, I don't know who Freya is, and Fran is overall sad. Her magic ability isn't that good and I never found a weapon that made her stand out.
Cid, on the other hand, was one of my more underleveled characters, and he managed to keep up with my stronger ones.
((You didn't mention which Cid, so I'm assuming FFVII, as that's the only one I've played where he's on your team.))

I'd say Freya. Fran never seemed really happy with spears, she's a katana person in my game. Kimarhi starts out good but after anykind of leveling he becomes mostly useless. Cid doesn't seem like he should even be a character to me, he was an engineer how much fighting experience would he have? But Freya; she had talent, experience, a past with a legendary warrior, and a pretty good reputation even among adventurers.
((.... on a side note... there's only 3 reasons but there are 4 votes... wtf?))

I'm gonna have to go with Freya on this one. Out of those 4 characters, she's my favourite. Kamarhi has his moments when he was useful, Cid was good to have if he had his last limit break Highwind and Fran... Well she's a bunny woman with a funky voice and one of the more interesting characters in FFXII. But Freya had all these things and more (Except she was a rat and she didn't have Highwind).

Ahhaha... where's the tie button?
honestly, this is a tough call on my part... I never really use like... ANY of them. *dodges fan-hurled bricks*
I'd probably narrow it down to Freya or Cid. See... sad thing here... and I say again... I don't use them enough to know.
So... Freya. Because I used her more and know she has potentially kickass Lancer abilties and all that Jazz.
On a side note, Huzzah! Zidane finally WINS!
