You'll never expect what you can't see... It hurt. '"You're drunk..."' He couldn't believe it himself, but her words - her actions - they actually hurt. Watching her run off through a drunken haze, he went to take another drink, only to stop and stare at the bottle for a bit. He seemed without emotions for a moment - just existing, alone by the tree. Without putting the bottle to his lips, he gently laid the half-filled bottle sideways on the ground next to him - some of it's contents spilling over the rim to the grass and dirt. He unsteadily stood up, staring at where Adeva ran off. After a while, he turned and slowly walked a zigzagging path back towards the lounge.
Siom saw how nervous she was. He reached forward rested a hand on Kayla's shoulder, "Don't worry. You're strong. You'll pull through."

Selene turned her head to find someone looking at the bulletin board from across the room. (Hmm, maybe I SHOULD go see what's on that scrap of tree, people call paper. ) She got up and crossed the room, passing by Dark, who seemed like he had a little too much to drink. Selene stood before the post, staring intently at all the rules. (Hmm, that shouldn't be too hard.) She looked down at the contestants for round one. To her suprise she was on the list! Yet, with Dark as her opponent. (Oh, that's pleasant. -__- ) She looked over at the still wobbling, Dark. (Maybe I'll get lucky, and he'll have an all night ale fest beforehand. ) She returned to her seat. "Looks like, I have a battle coming up soon." she told Pyralis. Pyralis squawked, excitedly. (I'd like to see the outcome of that.)

You'll never expect what you can't see... Dark took a seat in the lounge. His vision was blurred and his head felt like it was spinning. Laying his head down on the table, he quickly passed out. He still had no clue he had a fight soon.
Par'il stared at Graff. "Sorry to have worried you for my absence this past day, Graff. I did not mean to cause you grief. As for the fight, everyone has there off days, it is nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, within all technicalities, you did win," Par'il stated trying to give him some comfort with his current standing.

You'll never expect what you can't see... "You are... basing this off if you were to fight someone else? Roy of all people? ... A glorious gesture one may suppose." It was obvious Paraiimil didn't fully understand Graff's logic, but then again, Par'il isn't a fighter by nature. "If ever you want help training, I am willing to have a practice match with you. I know I need the training."
It's not that he had forgotten about Adeva, but Par'il still didn't know what to do for her.
Siom smiled at Kayla, "I know you have it in you to do so." Admittedly, Siom did know she was stronger than she let herself believe, but he didn't know for certain how well she'd handle herself against the former thief. It was going to be a tough fight for sure. Still, he hoped, for Kayla's sake, that she would pull through. Siom's body tensed, he wished to hug her or something more to bring her comfort, but he didn't want to offend her in any way.

Kayla gave Siom a small, shy smile. "Thanks Siom." she said. She felt a shiver tingle down her spine. She was still a bit worried about her curse mark acting up, despite her attempt to be somewhat cheerful.

((I think Oni is going all commando Dark Elf on us. O.o))
Adeva soon appeared, walking out of the forest. She sniffled a bit and whipped the tears from her eyes. She had finally stopped crying, sorta. She walked with her tiny legs towards the lounge then stopped. She stared at the lounge door, sniffling a bit, then looked towards the arena. Her eyes narrowed when they fell upon the arena and she gave it sort of a hateful stare. 'Just a bunch of hormone filled men and women trying to prove there superiority... Hugs aren't aloud evidently...' She thought, heaving a heavy sigh and looking towards the lounge door. 'Drunk...' Was the only word that came to mind. She sighed and shook her head, turning away from the lounge and heading back into the forest, going over to a tree and sitting down. She sniffled again, rubbing her eyes before pulling her white hood up and laying down on her side, letting her hair fall over the rest of her face. She let out a soft sigh, slipping her hands under her head like pillows and slowly closed her eyes.

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Hey, I like his look HL razz ))
Dark shifted while asleep. Some drool had already smeared onto the table through his mask. Different images flashed through his head - moving too fast to make any sense of them. Dark was young - angry - an older man, presumably his father, dieing in front of him. Dark, thought to be early teenagerdom, having his first kill, several elves lay dead in seconds and Dark quite pleased with himself, darkness surrounding him. Several men working with him now, they were stealing several valuable objects from the surrounding as Dark stands - covered in blood - the elder man lay lifeless on the floor, Dark's emotion is just as cold and empty as the body in front of him. Dark shifted again, nearly falling off the chair. He looked uncomfortable.
Siom looked down, trying to change the subject, "What do you say we sit down for a bit. Stay rested and calm for your match." Siom turned to the nearest table and pulled out a chair for Kayla to sit.
Par'il didn't know how to respond at first. After a moments pause, he finally spoke, "The 'Wise Man' of my village once said, 'how will we know without trying...' Besides, if you could not find somewhere to improve your skills, how else could you grow as a fighter? Umm... think of it as a learning experience... I guess." The worry for Adeva began to show itself within Par'il's face. He hoped that she was alright. Still, he didn't want to be rude to Graff. Oh the problems with the politeness of an elf...

Kayla walked over and sat down in the chair Siom had pulled out for her. "You're right, thanks Siom." she replied shyly. Stardust and Nightwalker both walked over to where Kayla sat and laid down on either side of her. Kayla gently stroked Nightwalker's head for a while.

I HATE YOU WITH A PASSION Presea_cousin Shin-lu looked out of the corner of her eye to see Kayla fall. Great... She parried Roy's tail as she tried to think of what her chances were, but then decided to discard the thought. If she was going to lose, might as well have fun with it. Shin-lu jumped over Roy's tail and stood on Roy's back as it if it was just some large rock as she continued to spar with Roy's tail, striking and parrying it to try and dislodge the rapier. Ilyana continued to eat as she looked over at Par'il. "Well, at least it looks like Shin-lu's having fun." Shin-lu was now on his back, so he would reach up, but his arms no matter what could never reach her. His armor was in more ways than one a plus, but when it came to movement such as moving his arms, it was sometimes difficult. Roy's tail was the one thing that was doing combat now. Roy would try and turn his head towards Shin to spit out another fireball, but realized that was impossible. He would now begin to do a full charge forward picking up speed before coming to a sudden stop, to try and throw her off his back. Shin-lu was proving to be a much more tougher opponent that he realized, she too was very resourceful.((REPOSTING lol No editting or any changes, just don't want this post to get lost.))

You'll never expect what you can't see... ((Thanks for the reminder IHYWAP.))
Siom took the seat opposite Kayla. Not really knowing where to go with the conversation now, he asked a simple question, "So, how are you enjoying it - your time here at the arena?" He simply waited for a response to see where this conversation may go.
Par'il didn't know what to say now, so somewhat unlike him, he blurrted out the first thing that came to mind. "You know, Graff, I may not be an experienced fighter, but even I know you will not get far in a fight if you treat each opponent as if they were the same person. Treating Miss Kayla as if she were Roy, even though you acknowledge the differences, you will not be able to act or counter-react in proper accordance." He quickly shut up after this, realizing how harsh what he said was. Shifting his head, he avoided eye contact in an attempt to hide how ashamed he felt for sputtering such - almost cruel - words to Graff.
