Kanis looked up as Corrah spoke of himself. She was in awe. She smiled up at him. "Then it must have been faith. She save you as much as you saved her." She smiled at him again then turned her head back down to work on her punches some more. She was a bit envious. Even if she did not want a sad past like Armus or Corrah they were so much better for it. They had such a wonderful life now.

Rhea nuzzled the hand and nods slowly following Armus into the clearing where Ruran lay. He stayed just a out of range of the fallen elf.

Ruran turned hearing someone and he sat up looking rather weak. He had nicks and cuts all over his face and arms and his own legs was torn up.

When Armus saw Ruran lying in the clearing, covered in cuts and blood, she emitted a low whistle.

"Man, someone sure did a number on you," she grinned despite herself. "Picked on someone who didn't want to be picked on, I would imagine. Hope you learned a lesson from it at least."

She knelt next to him and became serious. "Let me look at your wounds," she told him softly. "They need attention so that they don't become infected."

Aras hung back with Rhea, burying her fingers in his hair and stroking it softly.

Corrah smiled at Kanis. "You may call it what you will," he murmured, "but whatever it was, I am glad that it happened. She is a good friend, more than a student now."

He paused and looked into Kanis's eyes. "And if you would like, you may consider me a friend," he added softly, "and not only your teacher."

Ruran glared and Armus. "Shut up!" he said and watched her. "And why do you care if I get infected?" He asked harshly. His skin leg was the worst everything else would heal without any mark. Though everything was covered with dirt and mud. Luckly for him he had toss the handle of the blade somewhere on his way up not needing it.

Rhea smiled and licked Aras' arm. He watched her allowing her fingers to lock in his hair. It was the only way he could comfort her as long as they were hidding what they felt for each other.

Kanis' eyes widened and she moved quickly and carefully to wrap her arms around Corrah's waist laying her head against his solid stomach. She nuzzled her head against him. "Oh Corrah sir...thank you so much!" She knew she could not be as important as Armus was to him or as close. But at least he was willing to be her friend.

Armus was startled by the harshness of Ruran's anger. Looking back on it, she should have expected it, she supposed, but she had only been trying to help him.

"As much as I think you're a sick little twerp," she told him calmly, "I don't want you to die. You should at least let me clean your wounds ... and if you won't let me, then do it yourself. I can see by looking at you that you're very weak ... have you eaten anything since yesterday morning?"

Corrah was startled by the sudden hug from Kanis, but once he got over his surprise he relaxed and smiled, laying his hand on her head.

"You're welcome," he murmured warmly.

He only hoped he could be the kind of friend that she deserved.

Ruran glared, "No! Corrah never taught us how to get food!" He said sharply." And how can I clean my wounds without supplies!." he added. He really was not likeing this female. maybe he would just beat her senceless one day. Because he did not think he could ever get to the point of being able to do anything physical.

He sighed and looked at the ground.

Rhea tilted his head, "Shall I get alpha?" He asked his head resting against Aras' leg his body still tence and ready to attack.

Kanis smiled at the soft pat and she slowly released him. "I wont let you down sir....I will be very loyal to you...you will see...I will be the best I can be for you." She held up her fists ready to go again."

"Well then stop being so stubborn and let me help you!" Armus frowned angrily at the boy. "Honestly, sometimes you're so stupid I don't know why Corrah agreed to train you at all! If you need help, accept it! Now sit still, or I'll make you."

She reached for her bag and opened it up, pulling out some fruit.

"No, Rhea," she told her son gently, "we don't need Corrah. But thanks for offering."

She handed the fruit to Ruran, then reached into her bag once more and took out some cloths to clean Ruran's wounds.

Aras kept her hand on Rhea's head, scratching behind his ears as he pressed it against her leg. Her eyes, however, were on her brother ... Armus was right, he was being stupid ... he needed help, he should be accepting it ...

Corrah smiled warmly and nodded. "I trust you," he told Kanis softly, holding his hands up for her once more. "I know that you will be the best of your siblings ... and perhaps someday, better than Armus or even myself, if you continue to work hard."

Ruran shrugged and sat still though he took the the fruit and started to eat it. He would not ask for help but he would allow the human female to dress his wounds. As she should.

He felt eyes on him and he turned to look at his sister. His eyes holding osome cruel look in them. Maybe he would try to take her from the wolf. She was after all daddy's favorite.

Rhea was very hungry too. So he walked up and took up some fruirts into his arms and walked on his back two legs towards Aras again with them. "Breakfast." He smiled offering it to her. It was clear when he stood that when he was a a teen or an adult his would be solid muscle and a force to reckon with.

Kanis laughs and shook her head as she punched. "OH no sir I can never be better than you or Aras. I will not be able to surpass my master." she smiled, "And I am sure Aras will be really great too."

Armus poured water onto the cloth from her flask, then began to wash Ruran's wounds, cleaning out the mud and the dirt so that he wouldn't get infected.

Aras ignored Ruran's look and the way he was making her feel even more uneasy, and when Rhea returned with food for the both of them she leaned forward and went on her tiptoes to kiss him on the forehead.

"Thanks," she smiled, taking some fruit from him. She sat down to eat it, sitting with her back against a tree so that she could keep a wary eye on her brother.

Corrah smiled. "Aras could be, but she is allowing herself to become far too distracted," he replied softly. "But you ... if you work hard, as you have, you will become great."

Ruran did not make a noise as she worked on clean him. He just kept his stone gaze in his eyes on his sister. Watching her move and eat. Trying to ignore the feeling of the human's hands working on him.

Rhea moved over to sit in front of Aras. He smiled and took Aras' hand and gently lick over the fingers is back covering them so that no one else could see what he was doing. He pay close attention to each finger and part of her hand unless she took it away.

Kanis nods, "Then sir....I will not allow myself to be distracted in any way! I don't want anything other than to be trained. I am not in so much need of love as my brother and sister." She smiled as she hit his hand, "I am not the favorite to either of my parents. So I am all yours Corrah and my mind will only be for retraining your training sir!"

Aras giggled at Rhea as he licked her hand, spreading her fingers so that he could lick in between them as well if he wanted to. He always knew how to make her feel better ... even if he couldn't do what she knew they both wanted.

After a while, Armus wiped her brow and sat back. "Well, that's as good as they're getting for now," she murmured, "but you really should get stitches on that one gash ... what happened to you, anyways?" She looked at Ruran anxiously, hoping that it hadn't been a wild animal of some sort. If he'd been attacked, it would be her fault for not making sure he was safe the night before ...

Corrah smiled back at Kanis, but now his smile was a sad one.

"I am very proud of you, Kanis," he said softly, "but at the same time ... I have to warn you ... if Ruran knows what I really think of you, he will go out of his way to make things more difficult for you, and your training will not be very pleasant. For the moment at least, I can treat you no differently than your siblings ... if anything, I ought to be more harsh with you. If ... when this happens, do not take it personally. Know only that I am trying to protect you from your brother ... as well as push you to become far better than he could ever be."

Rhea smiled as Aras spread her fingers and he started to lap between them sucking on each digit gently. She was the perfect female for him. He always knew this but each of her actions proved it even more. His food was forgotten for now.

Ruran heard his sister laugh and could not see what she was giggling at. He tensed. "Hey wolf....you leave her alone...I am not in the mood for her stupidity!" he turned to Armus at her words and looked at her anxious look. "I was attacked by a stupid creature, one if I ever see again I will make sure it no long exsits in this world." he said in a cold serious tone. He swore that one day he would kill the doll who did this to him.

He looked at his leg, "I don't think there is enough skin left to stitch it..." he said and his anger grew deeper. He was going to scar. That stupid doll ruined his prefect form!

Kanis blushed at her master's praise. She bit her lip listening to him. "I didn't expect any different treatment sir...You don't have to treat me any different than any of my siblings ever sir. You took us in to train us...not really to be our friend. And I trust you and know you care...that is enough for me." she said in a even warm tone that sounds more mature and reasuring then she felt. Her heart and mind were both so very confused right now. And now she wanted even more for Armus to be back and distract her.

She shook her head, "By brother would not hurt me....his training against me would just intesify. He is more likely to hurt Aras...or our aunt or Rhea than me sir...he really could care less I think...but you are older and more wise so I will look forward to you pushing me hard sir." she said her eyes watching the hands she was punching not his eyes.

"I thank you now for everything sir...incase I forget to later."

Aras was distracted from Rhea by her brother's shout, and she frowned darkly at him.

"Leave Rhea alone!" she shouted back at him. "And leave me alone, too! What we do is none of your business!" She moved closer to Rhea protectively, though it was also for her own comfort.

Armus narrowed her eyes as she worked on Ruran's leg. He was so ungrateful ... such a jerk ... she was tempted just to let him be, but she knew she would already be in trouble for letting him get injured in the first place. She really had no choice in the matter.

"Well, I can't do a graft," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady, "so you're going to have to find someone else, or else just let me bandage it up and see if it heals on its own."

Corrah's eyes narrowed in cold anger. "I do not understand why you continue to defend your brother," he said shortly, beginning to move his hands around to give Kanis more of a challenge. "He has already broken your leg, and quite badly - what makes you think that he would not do it again? I do not know if he cares for you or not, though I doubt very much that he does except in his own perverted way - and I see no reason why he would not hurt you again."

His eyes grew warmer again, kinder. "While you are up here with me," he murmured, "I will teach you how to defend yourself ... not only from him, but from any threat."

Ruran's body tensed at his sisters words and he was about to move over there and smack her but he turned to Armus, "Please do what ever will leave a smaller scar." He said to her. "Could one of my sister's give a skin graph?" he asked softly. "I would really like not to have a a scar please." his voice was surprisingly calm.

Rhea felt the change in Aras' body and her words sent his body to move into a protective position around hers. He gave a soft warning growl his body curving around hers.

Kanis did not wince at her master's words or tone. She just kept following his hands though a chill at the anger she could hear ran threw her. "I don't know if he would or not sir...I know though that my sister has more to fear of him then I...If anything I would just be a practice dummy to him." She said softly and then listened.

"Yes sir...I know you will and I will try to make you proud with them." she was a bit shocked at the sudden change in his voice. It was clear she should not talk about her brother around him. Though her mind started to piece together that it was the hate for her brother and they annoyance with her sister that even gave raise to a bit of fondness or like of her to Corrah. She figured as soon as Aras started to show her skill then she would just be another student.

"A skin graft from one of your sisters?" Armus wanted to laugh, but she wisely held it back. "Are you daft? You get it from your own skin, no one else's. I just can't do it, that's all. You want something like that, find someone with healing magic."

She rose to her feet. "Besides that," she frowned, looking down at him, "there's nothing wrong with a scar. If nothing else they serve as reminders."

Aras put one arm around Rhea's shoulders, still glaring at her brother. She wouldn't let him talk bad about Rhea - never in her life!

Corrah looked thoughtful at Kanis's words.

"Perhaps," he murmured, "but I don't know if Ruran would be stupid enough to try to get past Rhea to hurt your sister ... Rhea may be a child, but he's ... fierce, and loyal ... and protective. It's in his nature. A playful pup he may seem, but threaten one whom he loves and he will change in a heartbeat."

He smiled at her, at ease once again. "How are you holding up?" he asked, changing the subject abruptly. "Getting tired at all yet? Or bored?"

Ruran looks at her in shock. "You are suggesting that I willingly scar myself. I don't want to remember getting attacked and not being able to defend myself!" He watched her move then rolled his eyes.

Rhea smiled and licked her arm. He would not let anything happen to Aras.

Kanis was going to talk more about Rhea and Ruran and she sighed a bit and nods, "Yes sir...I am doing alright...just a bit tired sir. My arms are sore but I can continue if you like. I have not trouble continuing sir!" she continued to punch at his hands.
