The mass Rp was the Endtimes mass Rp. It's located in one of the Subforums. And I presume that the pet project is your Shifters Guild Rp. Am I right?

Yeah, several speedbumps derailed the Endtimes RP . . . and as for the Shifters RP, yes- it is very close to being done. Subforums are up, basics are being hammered out, and soon will be open for applications. cool

The Chiton Empire is just as welcoming as the other three factions. Just bear in mind an insect mentality and all animals you might consider. Only fish and birds are out of the question- for reasons of storyline.

I'm in a guild that uses similar personality traits so I'm hoping to transfer parts to my character for Shifters.

Quote: As a rule, the society of Chitons tends to value females highly, males are just there. As in most colonies of their minute cousins, females are typically larger, stronger, and have a high opinion of themselves. Males are not treated as refuse, but the women are more dominant. Over the history of the Chiton Empire, never has there been a single emperor; only empresses. Honor guards are often of the same type, Queen wasp protected by other wasps, etc. All are typically dangerous when threatened, but the greatest fear for the Chitons is the one faction that is both their ally . . . and predator.
That is a portion from the subforum dedicated to the Chiton Empire.

Sure. The exerpt is from a roleplay that I have been working on for some time, having purchased a guild specifically for that game alone. It is based on the idea of not just wolves, but any animal being a were-creature. 'Shifters' is a more socially acceptable term than lycanthrope, as that means wolf in some form, and were-this and were-that gets old if referring to the race as a whole. The bit I shared is from the insectoid culture, where all weres of insect nature band together.
Just some RP chat, is all. ^_^
Oh, and Arctic? KABOOM! xd

Serena of Pretensa Does anyone recommend a good medieval fantasy traveling role play?. Errands of Mandor! Sorry, I felt the need to advertise a bit more biggrin and ty for that insight Magni, although I'm afraid it's not quite my piece of cake...I'm slowly but surely getting sick of all the were-whatever and vampire stuff :S

I can appreciate that, as I am much the same. Hence why I have given a lot of thought into revamping the were systems. No eight-foot-tall hulking wolves, no godmodding, no vampires that *shudder* glitter in sunlight. No, this is a society that has grown over an eon or so, with representatives for most animals on earth. Wolves are present, but only a small fraction of what could be. Their only claim above the others is myth and lore . . . and that the first one was a wolf.
And I have devised a plot system that should, in theory, mix modern day with mideval ideas . . . today's tech, with yesteryear's technical problems. I'd go further, but I gave the idea to two people in a year, and within days they had stolen the idea. So, I'll just keep it quiet for now. I also have some intrigue built in because two major factions are NPCs. The Vanes (aquatic life) and Ariels (birds) are both kept away from players for very specific reasons. One is the cause of the global problem, the other is near extinct-- or gone already.
