*she walks up to the conversation and puts in her two cents.*
I don't know exactly what you'd like us to do, sir, but we're runnin' kinda low on some ammunitions. The powder spent on the last attack was more than we should've afforded....

* Jaden emerged from below deck very tired and worried as to the events that may soon unfold. She saw the group huddled about the Captain as he scoured the charts for some plan of action. He seemed to be the same old Captain she had come to know in her short amount of time aboard the ship, however, she couldn't shake his more child-like attitude he had shown in the Wardroom after his operation.

The good Doctor, being either ever so diligent or trying desperately to preoccupy his time so as not to be overtly concerned with the Captain's condition and possibly worry the crew, had set upon the task of fixing minor wounds and injuries of those above deck. She noticed that no matter how far away he may have been from the Captain, he kept a keen eye on his behavior and status. The Doctor must have also sensed that all was not truely well with the Captain.

Fatigue had seemed to have taken over her as she looked about the ship. The Bodicea still acting as the Lady Washington's horrid twin shadow looming in the distance behind the stern caught her eye occasionally. It felt as if a vicious beast from a nightmare kept coming back to haunt her every time she looked out into the dark of night. And to much her dismay, the dawn was fastly encroaching upon the night sky. Jaden was weak, tired and incredibly sore from all the events in the Wardroom. She needed to rest and even if it was just for a little while, she needed to collapse somewhere to get a bit of strength back into her body. She wiped her face a moment to move a stray auburn curl from her face when she noticed the curl was stuck. She gently touched her face and found the cut just below her eye and she had blood crusted to her cheek where it had caught the hair. The wound stung to the touch and she let it be for the moment. She must have looked a mess, but right now, she didn't rightly care.

She found a mass of ropes not far from where the Captain was muttering measurements and other such things while the crew crowded about their commander. She slowly sat down and watched everything without saying a word. Her mind started to wander while watching the group so tightly grouped around him.

"Couldn't they let him alone for two moments?" she thought to herself as she leaned back onto a barrel beside her.
"Can't they see?... He's still not himself... for God's sake!....Give the man two damn minutes alone to think!..." she continued to think and upset herself.

She was letting herself get infuriated with the crew and she knew better. They didn't know what had happened on the make-shift medical deck. They didn't know how he spoke of his first time aboard a ship, his first Captain, the fact he didn't know how he had lost his eye. She had been half-heartedly trying to keep herself awake by being angry, but instead exhaustion had won out this time. As she sat on the ropes and watched her Captain try to figure out a course of action, her eyelids began to droop. The last thing she remembered seeing was the Doctor checking from behind the Captain, ever the watchful eye, as Jaden's eyes closed once more and didn't reopen.*

*** continued from Galley***
Destiny hobbled slowly up the steps to the main deck. The satchel bumped against her wound, sending waves of fire through her side. Gasping, she leaned against the wall and shifted the satchel to her other side.

She finally made it out onto the deck, and she made her way back to where the Captain was. She saluted the Captain and the officers, and then asked " Sirs, would you like some hot tea and biscuits? I know its been a long day and night, and its likely to be longer, but I thought that something warm would help. How fares the escape plans?.

Destiny pulled out a biscuit tin, thermos, and mugs, and set them down to the side of the map table. As she did, the thermos hit her side, making her wince. She straightend, and tried to pretend it was nothing, but the gaping hole in her shirt belied her act.

Destiny tried to pull her shirt closed, and failed.
I kind of became impaled on a shard of shrapnel earlier in the battle. My gun crew took me below, and I managed to pull the shard out and wrap the wound. It just hurts when anything bumps it.

Hearing Miss Destiny talking behind him, Baxter happened to hear her say how she was caught by shrapnel.

"It's best I take a look at that Ma'am, even if you've tended it yourself I can offer further treatment to it to help it mend better."

(Continued from the galley)

*Aeoess walked back to the deck holding some biscuits and the cube that John gave her earlier. She began to walk to John to thank him for not pushing her for disobeying a simple order, and for the cube, but instead she saw walked to him and saw the captain, however she knew something was off with him, but she couldn't tell what exactly was off. She looked back to John and handed him a biscuit and the cube.*

"Hey John, is the captain ok?"

Destiny sighed, and nodded to the Doctor.
Yes sir, that would be most welcome. Where would you like me to go? I appriciate your help.

*Looks to Aeoess and takes the cube and bisket*

Well, it seems that the Captain has lost his memory, but not his piratehood, we'll just have to see how this goes

*The captain having amnesia couldn't have came at a worse time, after all, they still had the other ship to worry about. They needed to escape.*

"So, what still needs to be done so that we can get out of this mess?"

*Walking his traversial compass from one point to another, Jack stopped and whiped his brow. A fake smile swept over his face.*

sweatdrop "Lord help me: I have no idea what I'm doing..." sweatdrop

*Taking a deep breath, Jack thought back to his days in the Naval Reserves, where all the young boys were taught the means of command. Sure, it was slightly different, with the actual ship and all, but Jack knew that if he tried his best he could do it. Or at least he thought he could.

Realizing that he;d lost his train of thought, he started the plotting all over again. Traversing the compass from a point of dead reckoning, Jack looked about the crew.*

"Can anyone here use a sextant properly? I need a Noon-day observation and our location from one of you officers, if not a foremast-jack. Bosun, jump down to my cabin and take down the time on the chronometer. I'll need the Greenwich-Time in order to find our exact position.

Also, you there... the steward, I'm guessing... your offer of tea and biscuit is most welcome, but is it possible to have breakfast on the table within a quarter of an hour? Six eggs, a pound of thickly-cut fried saltpork, ship's biscuit and marmalade... if we have any. I'm famished."

*Turning suddenly, Jack whipped about and stared at the looming figure that glided behind in dawns midst. The 'Boadicea' was a crack-frigate: a fighting ship. She dwarfed the Lady, made her look something of a tinderbox in a bathtub, really. The little brig was a fine vessel, but no match for a heavy frigate that hurled 892 lbs. of death at every broadside. His ship, from the look of her, wouldn't toss more than 250 lbs. before being ripped to pieces by the sheer recoil.

As the Gunner had mentioned earlier, they'd exhausted their powder stores to an all time low. Self-defence, but in vain. Now that had only one opportunity for survival... run. He may of still held an ever-living hatred for them, but the French were the only chance left for the 'Lady Washington'.

Looking back to the chart, he found a familiar port, just South of Britanny.*

"Here! We shall put into port here at Brest and hope to god that a British Man-of-War will be unwanted in a french-port. Even in peacetime, the two coutnries fight like cats and dogs. Now, someone get me that Noon-day observation."

Destiny looked at the Captain strangly from behind her biscuit tins. Did you just promote me sir? I'm only the cook.. but if you want me to be the Steward, I can. I think we're currently without one since my slave Cubby jumped ship. Anyways, I'll come back and ask you again later sir. I don't know if I will be able to prepare the entire meal, since I was wounded in the battle, but if I have your leave to use Aeoess in the galley, then I think I might be able to sir.

Destiny winced as she tried to straighten up before the Captain. She turned to the Doctor.
Doctor, I'm afraid that I might have to wait to get this wound looked at. If you would be so kind as to stop by the galley after I serve the meal, I would really apprciate it.

*Turning on his heel, his eyes went wide at the thought that he had just promoted the young girl. He smirked and looked down on the ship's cook from his height, of which seemed to loom over her.*

"Why yes, I believe a promotion is in order: In reguards to your good service towards this vessel and her crew, and in honour of your receiving a wound while in the heat of battle, I herby promote you to Captain's Steward.

With this new Warrant-Title, you are entitled to:
- Stewards's Cabin located across from the Purser's Cabin, near the Wardroom.
- Access to the entirety of the ships stores, including that of the Captain's private stores.
- 4% Increase of Pay
- Steward's Mate: Of your choice.

Responsibilities Include:
- Captain's Personal Aid
- Cook's Duties

Now, it may not sound as difficult as most occupations, but you must remember that while a Captain takes care of his ship & ship's company; a captain does not take care of himself. Therefore, an assistant is needed to lend a hand when necessary. Do you have any questions, my dear?"
