((Dude. You're lucky I didn't have Paul fart.

Srsly, I don't think Paul can produce poison, can he? I guess Fyrin could...))

Paul didn't become immediately apparent. The zombies didn't hit anything with their arms, and they continued to look silly through a hail of gunfire directed at Takeshi until one of them tripped over nothing, a patch of nothing that went "oomph." Paul had been prone, which was how he had stayed clear. With that secret revealed, he eliminated the Chameleonic and just bum-rushed Takeshi, a shield of wind and fire keeping any counter-attack from just slicing into him. He held his fire, except to throw several curveballs and activate a fireball behind Takeshi then draw it in with an air dart. He was glad that the spinning zombies had been too preoccupied to prevent him from getting up, since... they'd all been spinning.

Darius took advantage of this moment's reprieve to throw a lot more cutting air strikes, angled specifically to prevent lateral movement away from the center of the pattern. This was definitely standard practice for anyone who had ever dealt with anyone who could dodge.

Fyrin kept hovering on the balls of his feet, charging his mana back up and putting it into miscellaneous things while preparing to dash and rescue Joe if the coast was clear enough for him to do so. He didn't have any spare mana with which to offer support, and his skeletons were busy with zombies.

That's what Jacob thought, but he wanted to make sure before he came to some sort of silly conclusion.

((Did he come in from the big open room or the room with the big chunk of wall hanging out in the middle?))

((I think it was Siber that got in with that Council group... I think they were called the "druids". Fyrin might, I dunno, I haven't looked at his profile.))

Samuel raised his eyebrows at the move and was pushed back, his sword making a deep gash across Joe's stomach. He pulled the sword back, ready to swing at whomever might come.

((You action, not mine. Dummy.))

((Uhh, what? Mega autohit, and Joe isn't even in that area any more. He started crawling away like, three posts ago.))

((I only say Fyrin 'cuz he's been around a while and has got to have picked up a few tricks.

Darius, however, does have a plan now...

((Fyrin cannot make poison. There's no reason he would be able to. He doesn't even HAVE enough biology left in him to do biomancy on or in his own body.

((Jacob came in through the splitting/converging path. When I make maps, up is usually where you're heading.))

((Wait, if Joe was already out of range, why did you go MAKE FYRIN SAVE JOE a while ago, then?))

((All righty, makes sense))

Jacob searched along the walls and floors for any alternative to going straight through the room which would inevitably end badly.

((Because while Joe is out of sword range, he's still not really going anywhere very fast. And Bayer had said that Fyrin was poised to jump in if Joe got clear, so I figured I'd prompt him.
Dude, I specifically said that Joe was moving out of range, in excruciating and long detail. Last page, go look if you didn't see it.))

((One, two, three, four,
We declare a detail war!
Five, six, seven, eight,
Try to keep those details straight!

Okay. Just thought I'd check, magic works in inexplicable ways sometimes around here.))

((I really don't see how you could possibly refute this.
Jokerman-EXE

Joe feebly managed to shoot at Gertrude, aiming for the head and shoulders, from his position on the remaining part of the platform.
He was jarred from the detonation, but he was determined not to die. His head and chest hurt, from his wounds and the stress, but not enough to inhibit performance, unless he tried to use the arm that was closest to the wound in his chest, which was the left arm, due to the hole from the kinetic round. His vision was slightly blurry, but he shook his head and blinked to keep it clear.
His angle of firing was from below, which made it harder to hit Gertrude in the head, but she was stationary, so Joe, experienced as he was with firearms, especially those of the handgun variety, led to the logical conclusion that he would be able to at least hit her. The effects of the shots remained to be seen, but at least he was trying. Maybe he could shake her focus, thus giving Darius the opportunity he needed to hopefully kill, or at least repel, her.
In the meantime, he tried to keep himself clear of the majority of the zombies, who couldn't approach due to Sam's Annihilation, by crawling back but keeping Sam between him and the mass of reanimated corpses. Hopefully, he could drag his way over to Fyrin without further agitating his wounds, and thus be pulled to safety without drawing the attention of an opponent. With Sam and Takeshi's attention diverted by Joe's allies, there was no logical reason that they would notice him.

((HOW'S THAT FOR DETAIL?))

((NO

NO SERIOUSNESS

Nice way to catch it and edit it, I saw the original. razz ))
PostPosted: Thu Feb 19, 2009 9:02 pm

((YES SERIOUSNESS.
I edited it a while ago. And regardless, it was meant to say that in the first place, and since it did, they can't possibly have any argument for it.))

((And even in the original, you knew that Joe was moving away, right?))

((Oh, missed that post; you must've submitted it while I was writing mine.))

Gertrude took one shot and screeched, turning on Joe.
