((Holy...god. If I said that he simply blocked it, someone would have bitched that I was being "too badass." So, I figured I would walk through the move step-by-step. His arm needs to move through the path of the attack in order to be in position to block. It was, however, in blocking position. Not with the arm, but the claws. And I even said that he moved so that no part of him would be in the path of the attack if it went right through his defenses. Fer realz, here.))

((I AGREE WITH JOE
What did he say?))
Darius looked at Gertrude, raised an eyebrow, and detonated the skin around her head and mouth. He didn't seem to care very much that she had bit him. This was understandable, given the fact that he was still about eleven or twelve feet tall, had no head, and was basically made of magical muscle. After the detonation, he swung his fist in a very large right arc, a good right hook that would send Gertrude bouncing if she got hit by it.
Paul was not letting Takeshi blow up his rifle, not today. A quick roll followed by a Multi-Paul effect and then returned fired prevented Takeshi from firing on Paul with any reliability. There were now at least five Pauls dicking about, and whenever one would aim and fire all of them would aim and fire even if they weren't doing the same thing. They also were careful not to give their position away by the way bullets hit targets. With the annihilation shield, this wasn't much of a problem, since it was gone before it could be traced. And with Takeshi it wasn't much of a problem, since he was too far away to be able to notice firing angle reliably. Sound wasn't a problem either, since it was a small enclosed room and gunfire was too loud to follow in a specific direction.
Paul had pretty well kept himself safe for the moment. He kept firing on Samuel, occasionally aiming back to Takeshi to keep him suppressed. Paul seemed to have plenty of ammo.

Jokerman-EXE Marco swung his arm into the path of the sword ((Anyway, couldn't you have just described it like that from the start, man?)) Gertrude's neck began pumpng. Darius' mana was being drained. She writhed as the explosion occurred, but she seemed determined on following the attack through, regardless of her burnt face. And her hair smoldering. When the punch came around, she held her arm up to block it but remained attached to Darius by her jaws. Takeshi grimaced as his shield soaked up cobalt rounds. How to determine the real one? Paul's chance peripheral vision ((Preemptive Note: For Takeshi to have fired on the Athena itself, Paul's peripheral vision (at least) must have been able to see Takeshi)) had let him escape the first round and- "s**t!" he roared, clutching his side. Blood was welling out where the phase round had passed through his shield.

((Not to mention the fact that muzzle flash is a very sight-attracting thing.))
Darius calmly detached a very thin layer where Gertrude had bitten down, allowed her to consume the mana that bit was made up of, and then started casting air darts at her. It was a very evenly matched stubbornness fight, and it would be hard to say who would win.
Paul did not get cocky, did not let his deception slip up. He kept circling from target to target, but started to focus more on the partially disabled Takeshi. Taking a player entirely out of the equation would make the others very much easier to eliminate. Without all of Takeshi's zombies, Fyrin's skeletons, even the ones who had gone into reserve, could come back and take the fight to Samuel, drain his shield, and win the day.
If only Paul could hit Takeshi again without losing track of things. He focused as much as possible, keeping an eye on both Gertrude and Samuel in his peripheral vision and watching for surprise zombie attacks.
One of the Pauls split again into two to make him harder to track. Harder to keep the deception running, but harder to track.

((Dude, I just explained it! You guys said you wanted details, then BOOM, there's some details. Marco's arm was not there when the blade struck, but did indeed have to pass through its path on its way to blocking position. And we STILL haven't looked at my completely logical attempt at stopping Sam, from BEFORE he tried to slash me! Marco is not going anywhere until this is resolved!))
Joe feebly managed to shoot at Gertrude, aiming for the head and shoulders, from his position on the remaining part of the platform. He was jarred from the detonation, but he was determined not to die. His head and chest hurt, from his wounds and the stress, but not enough to inhibit performance, unless he tried to use the arm that was closest to the wound in his chest, which was the left arm, due to the hole from the kinetic round. His vision was slightly blurry, but he shook his head and blinked to keep it clear. His angle of firing was from below, which made it harder to hit Gertrude in the head, but she was stationary, so Joe, experienced as he was with firearms, especially those of the handgun variety, led to the logical conclusion that he would be able to at least hit her. The effects of the shots remained to be seen, but at least he was trying. Maybe he could shake her focus, thus giving Darius the opportunity he needed to hopefully kill, or at least repel, her. In the meantime, he tried to keep himself clear of the majority of the zombies, who couldn't approach due to Sam's Annihilation, by crawling back but keeping Sam between him and the mass of reanimated corpses. Hopefully, he could drag his way over to Fyrin without further agitating his wounds, and thus be pulled to safety without drawing the attention of an opponent. With Sam and Takeshi's attention diverted by Joe's allies, there was no logical reason that they would notice him.
((HOW'S THAT FOR DETAIL?))

((Well yeah, but you can't REACT to the muzzle flash.
Gertrude attempted to sap the mana from the air darts.
That went badly, throwing her against the wall. As soon as she hit, she pushed off and charged again.
Takeshi, knowing there were times for subtlety and times for large explosions, began to spam out fireballs; as they traveled, the zombies in the area began to ignore the skeletons to mob the Pauls. Whichever one didn't pass THROUGH the zombies was the one to kill.

One Paul went down. Two, three, they weren't even resisting. A fourth dodged around a little longer but was eliminated, thus leaving only one target who disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Paul was not any of the Multi-Pauls; he had taken his mentor's strategy properly and was Chameleonicked. It was hard on his mana supply in his iPod, but he hadn't actually used anything but his iPod yet and thus had plenty of his own left over. Apparently he'd been masking his own muzzle flash using shadow, and was basically one clever son of a gun.
He'd have to appear sooner or later, though, since Takeshi was spamming. Bullets were still flying, that was for certain.
Darius created air scythes to follow up - air hard and fast enough to cut through flesh. He aimed them for the shoulder joints, his intention to tear her arms off. She was trouble - brute force didn't seem likely to kill her, so Darius had decided to try to eliminate her various limbs until she looked like the Black Knight. That probably wouldn't happen fast, all things considered, but if he could get it done, it would be very useful.

((We did address it, Joe. In OOC. If you want me to edit the post to say that he didn't notice the small dent made in the floor made by Marco's FB, I'll do it, but that was our justification, if you'd been paying attention.)) ((Hmm, skipping rounds on me again. Oh well...))
Samuel watched the sword run down Marco's arm, and brought the sword up for a downward chop. Swinging the sword down, he felt the first of Paul's shots impacting the back of his shield, and his swing was disrupted, swinging short of Marco's face and coming down across an area that would be Marco's chest if he didn't dodge, the swing finishing in an arc across Joe's stomach.
((Once this is responded to, then I will respond to the rushed rounds on my person. Skipping my round is never polite.))

NativeForeigner Jacob kept his position as he attempted to remember what the blue thing was on the map. Jacob then realized he was the blue thing on the map. Silly him. <_< --- ((Joe... he stepped... over it...)) Gertrude's ears twitched and she deftly dodged the scythes. Except one that clipped part of a finger off. Whoopsie. She picked the finger up quickly and began healing it back on the vampire way: by pumping copious quantities of blood directly into it until it basically welded itself back on. Takeshi groaned and had the zombies begin spinning and flailing, which looked absurd but put pressure on Paul. Because this took minimal focus, he continued to throw out fireballs and began to advance, keeping his force wall in front of him. His bullet wound was already half-sealed.

((Fine. I'm not arguing this s**t any more.))
Marco moved. Not hard, considering he was already in a position to move if he had to. He jumped back, firing a stream of Force Bullets as he went. They were small, just about the size of a baseball, but packed with energy so as to explode on contact. Not a big explosion, but even with a shield, they should push Sam away from Joe, so that Fyrin could move him to safety.
