A glare at Lycear.
"I think I figured out your little problem, Lycear. and it's not foolish. the only way my ships gets by your city without a hundred of your guards crawling over it is by the lower levels. and I woudl have gotten her out."
A glance at the mirror.
"It was too far to shout and you hear me. I have a theory, and if you'll take me back to the city, and bring me that necromancer, I'll be happy to demonstrate in closed quarters. Do we have an accord?"

"They were. They said it complimented your scaling colors and that it made you look slimmer." So innocently explaining himself now... That was Kaz for you. But he watched as she sat up and frowned, taking her hand though and pulling himself to stand as well. "But I keep my word. I said I would spend the day with you." Looking back in the general direction of the city and shaking his head a bit. "Most of those things are in no hurry to be finished, I can be Commander again tomorrow and do them."

"No...I think we're all pretty much stuck for the time being. Everyone has been relocated and everything is probably closed." She was sort of surprised at his answer though it did make her smile. "Very well, once this crisis ends." Not natural at all. Things like this seemed to be happening all over the place. She did give a smile to him and nodded. "Thank you for beleiving we can take care of ourselves. We are more than capable."
Eilynne panted slightly and then raised herself back to a standing position before she reverted. "You reject my help thinking you can handle it yourself but your death is not to be blood on my hands." Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear she turned her head and eyed the necromancer for a moment. "The Lady Elf has not had a moment to study the pretty glass, Hunter. All in good time."

"My problem, and a theory that you wish to show me?" He thought this over for a moment. At the same time he had a working plan in his head and as much as some parties that were to be involved may not like it....it was very very useful. "I may be an old dragon, but I still have good ears. And Captain, I have my own propostion to you...but in all fairness, we will have an accord. I will listen and agree to you, if you will listen and agree to me." Pay a pirate enough and he listened to anything you had to say anyway. A look to the Laerethe, whom he still had not the privilage of her name, and then back to Hunter. "I'll open the gates to you, care to listen to my side of the deal then as well?
Oh how unaware he was that he was giving those comments every woman loved to head. Good fashion taste and not fat. "Well, that's good to know. Would hate to think people thought I was washing myself out even more." What with white scaling being a tad rare among thier kinds. She was quite surprised at his answer to say the least though. Bell had fully expected to be told that they were going back to the city since she said that they could. To say the least, his unpredicatible answer brougth a smile from her and a melodic laugh. "Just promise me you won't work do hard." Giving a tug of his hand and thus pulling him along till they stepped off the rock they were on, making both of them take to the air. "Well if that's the case....then I want to show you something that's been uncovered recently by teh winds." Studying those maps was a good thing.
"Humans and flattery." Oh look she was being negative very early today, perhaps it was going to be a good day in her opinion after all. But other than that she gave a sigh. What was she going to do now? Then again she could always use alternatives. Wasn't as effective, but she could figrue it out. "We'll make due until things are well...we just need to be really really careful now."

"Alright...state your terms, and we'll see if we have an accord on my end about them. I'm listening, dragon lord. and I'm not entirely sure on how long a distance you can hear considering the signifigantly lower pitch that my voice carries over most of your guards."
a slight grin, idly playing with a gold coin by rolling it across his knuckles.

"Yes, we humans do so love to flatter people, but don't read too much into it. I'm far too old to go around chasing skirts." Kronos smiled. "This is going to sound really bad, but I was sort of hoping for a little more action, I got a new toy that I wanter to try out. But I guess that's just going to have to wait for another day." he smiled at them. "Anything that I help with." he asked.

"We'll make due, not to worry. We've been in such predicaments before and made it through just fine. Though Shyrae laughed softly at Kronos' comment, "Too old? You can't be, you still look young." A shake of her head and she wanted to comment on something else too but he caught her attention. "A new toy...he puts it like that so we'll ask, you know that Savryn?" Of course she did. Men were often peculiar creatures. "What sort of new toy is this?"
Eilynne shook her head. Still disrespecting and biting the hand that ultimately fed him. One day Hunter would learn. For now her teaching would remain silenced. She stood there calmly allowing deals and such to be made then prepared to follow Lycear whereve he intended to go. Chances were this theory ofhis could easily be disproven with a simple bit of knowledge that he did not have.

A look to the Laerethe at his side and he crossed his arms. "I'm sending out a concentrated search party for something. I would like to commisson your ship for this as a form of passage and stay for the journey out in the sands. It's the best one out there far as I know and a pirate is a resourceful man. You'd get ample pay, and all your supplies and repairs and such would be free, as well as access into the city whenever you needed. Any spoils you found on the journey that are not essential to my own cause, you would have pick over as well."
Savryn gave a chuckle that bordered on cruel sounding. Or crazy...depending on your view points. "Of course he did, and you just fell into his 'trap'. Men like that." Crossing her arms over her chest lightly, merely listening to what was going on at the moment, not a lot of people were happy.

Her laugh was nice and he noticed it sounded kind of like that odd contraption she had made once. What was it called again? Wind chimes or something. "I promise." Nodding solemnly though and letting her take his hand. He never did work too hard, it was just his duty and responsibilities to the city. Back into the air again with no land under his feet, wonderful feeling. "This is another one of the surprises you like to give me, isn't it?" He followed her lead and flew on, occasionally shading his eyes from the bright afternoon sun.

"So I play ferry, you have my crew to help your team, I get the choice of loots that aren't required by your search...free repairs and provisions and access without harassment. Agreed. we have terms."
glancing to the little girl thing.
"Like he said..I'm resourceful..and I pay careful attention to little details. So...shall we? we'll need that necromancer."

Kronos ran his fingers through his hair and laughed, it was a mixture of nerves and embarrassment, "I must be getting old, that was pathetically obvious, even by a man's standards." He said as he stood up straight. "But since stuck my foot in my mouth, I might as well keep going with the show. Last time we met, I was at a disadvantage, since unlike the dragons I cannot fly, I met and old man, who gave me something to change that." Kronos smiled as from under his shirt, he pulled a necklace, on this necklace was something carved from a strange silver metal, it looked like a snowbard, only with strange symbols all over it.
Kronos smiled once more as he pressed two finger against the small trinket, he spoke in a normal voice. Wing of the Nagas, awaken." as he smalled a small amount of magic into the talisman. Which in turned was engulfed in white light. The small trinket on his next disappeared , the board now fully grown and strapped to his feet. For a moment, Kronos feet felt on fire, Ishmael had warmed him, that when he first summoned the board, it would brand the bottom of his feet. And he wasn't lying, but then again it wasn't the first time he had been branded. The board which was lifeless burst into life, as a small burst of wind lifted it into the sky, Kronos now a good ten feet above them, was flying. Just not very well.

"I'm really bad at seeing those before I fall. I need to be careful though, never know when the trap might hurt." She watched rather fascinated as Kronos played with his new toy and then rose into the air. "Oh look, he's really flying." She of course could do the very same thing with Spyrit, but why rain on Kronos' parade? SHe clapped lightly and then glanced at Savvy. "Isn't that neat, Savvy? A human flying without the aid of a dragon or Nightmare."
Eilynne listened to the terms of the deal and felt they were fair enough. She appreciate Lycear's effort to put together a search party and also was very pleased with his mention of items needed by them were not for him to take. "I never questioned your quick-wittedness or your ability to adapt to the situation at hand, Hunter. You mistake what I say, toss them aside like riddles that mean nothing to you. I am aware of your strengths and I am aware of your weaknesses. I only encourage you to use both in a better light." A brief pause for a moment and she crossed her arms. "What do you wish with the Lady Elf?"

Kronos burst out laughing, "Okay, okay so it's not the newest trick in the book. Compared to you guys, I'm a toddler." he said as he landed down on the ground, and them promptly landed on his a**. "Talk about adding insult to injury." he laughed.

"Good. Now come on." Heading off in another directiob, flying across the expanse of sand they they had grown up with. Though she was probably flying a little slower than usual because of her wing. Updrafts she was loving right now. "And yes, I know where I'm going. I studied my maps too much to not know." A turn in no describible place to put them in another direction and heading farther. Soon enough she was landing on a half broken arch of some sun bleached ruins. "Here we are. It was a temple of a major city back before the storms...or at least that's what the map comparisons have told me. Sand's just now coming off of it. Bet the rest of the city is still buried under feet of the stuff."
He smiled. See, every pirate had his price. Lycear knew how to strike a good deal with a pirate. "Yes that is about right. I'm glad you agree." Giving another nod then...besides, once Hawk knew what they were after, and no doubt he would find out...he would probably be even more motivated to play ferry as he had put it. A nod to the Laerethe then before a grin to Hawk. "She will be the one you are recieving orders from. Bring your ship back to port now and we'll call the lady elf to you."
Of course if anyone was impressed by the sight of what Cronos did, Savvy wasn't...mostly because she was blind and couldn't but no one knew that and it was besides the point. Though at Shyrae's mentioning on it and telling her to look, she gaze melded with Chylithair, the falcon looking over at Cronos. "Indeed he is...that's a way to gain the realm of the sky that I've never quite seen before."

"She still has that little item we were discussing earlier. I think I figured out my trigger to get it to work in my favor. however, the trigger may also work to help you. I noticed when the water's started, you were out here looking for something. like you knew what should be the reason for that event, but couldn't find out where it was or why."
A small grin.
"I do tend to pay attention to little things like that."
Though not exactly thrilled that the child thing was going to be the boss. but a nod to his master-at-arms and the bosun. and the orders went and the crack of the whip on those that didn't jump when they were told. which ment the ship was docked in a matter of minutes.
"After you, Lycear...little girl."
after all, he didn't have any other descriptive term for her or a name.
