Brayden followed Kaya, as Caliga, Gin'iro, and Sai tailed Tsuki, as the group made their way back to Chloe and the others.
"Wow, what'd we miss?" Brayden murmured. Vhan now had a purple appearance and seemed most distraught, as Felix tried to calm him, and Julian was nowhere to be seen.
"Is everything okay?" he asked Chloe curiously.
Caliga and Sai stuck near Tsuki. Well, Caliga did. Sai was trying very hard to be the Umbreon's shadow, even bumping into her a few times as he scurried to stick close. This earned a rolling of the eyes from Caliga, but thankfully the Umbreon was feeling patient today.
Brayden held Kaya's hand still from their dash to meet back up with the others as he tried to piece things together.
"Vhan's becoming a hybrid as well?" he asked, finally recognizing the bits and pieces of the Pokemon that was the origin of his transformation. His first thought was that it was due to the weapons, since that seemed to be the cause of Kaya's transformation as well, but Vhan didn't have one, did he?
Brayden considered the buckler on his back for a moment. He had already sort of pieced together that he probably wouldn't be doing any transformation of his own. He still had some of the effects from the Vaporeon dna that he had taken on in Johto, although his abilities had seemed much weaker since the events in the woods.
He had somewhat grown used to the blue tinge to the tips his hair, even though he still thought that it looked like a hair dye gone wrong.
Brayden turned his attention back to Vhan, crouching slightly when he saw that the boy had been crying.
"Are you alright?" he asked worriedly.

He looked over at Chloe and the others "I was normal for a while when I had this sword, then I came over here to Iron Island with you guys, and I'm suddenly changing too. So maybe... the weapons don't have enough power on their own, but when they're around others, the combined power causes a change in the owner. I don't care too much for science though. I'm more of a... open minded person. If something makes sense and there's not much of an explanation to prove otherwise, I take it, whether it's fantasy, scientific, or some other thing. I personally think these things have some sort of magic in them. How else would they have appeared? I was sitting under a tree when a shadow came up to me and materialized into this katana." He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. "That's just me thinking outloud though."

"That was kinda my theory as well," Chloe nodded to Ricardo's guess, "Although I don't feel any different, so on some level, perhaps the changes take place at different levels depending on the person? You guys are probably more attuned to your weapons and armor than I am," she laughed.
Chloe looked down once more as her Pokenav bleeped, this time with two messages. She set out to responding to each of them, before looking up, spotting Kaya and Brayden as they rejoined the group.
"Hey! The lovebirds are back!" Chloe grinned happily. Entreri looked up from where he had been napping, opting to climb down from the beams finally.
"So what were you up to?" she asked Kaya, before turning to nod to Brayden's question.
"Yeah, we think Vhan's turning into a hybrid as well. Although he doesn't seem to be too keen on the idea," she admitted.
"Julian went on ahead to train a bit, then go to Snowpoint. He just texted me telling me that he arrived. Nona's there too actually!" she announced happily. It had been ages since she had seen her friend.
"Except Juilan kinda asked me out before he left," she admitted, slightly embarrassed as she suddenly found the floor very interesting.
Lilie was still yanking on Hino's tail happily as she made her way over to the distracted Felix. More importantly, his bag. It looked like Gigi was occupied with calming the upset Que down, so Lilie turned to Hino.
"Tail-light, you give me a boost, kay?" she asked, smiling cutely, pointing to Felix's bag.

"Glad to have you back," Chloe grinned.
"Mm... Yeah, that's what I'm kinda worried about," Chloe admitted sheepishly as Kaya voiced his concerns about Sasha.
Lilie looked up from where she had been trying to convince Hino to give her a bit of a boost to reach the bag. Hearing Kaya's fears, she merely grinned.
"But a fight over love is the best kind!" she insisted eagerly with a wide smile, "A glorious battle! That's why I've gotta find it!" she insisted, referring to her quest for another Heart Scale.

Chloe smiled, seeing the message from Julian, "Vhan?" she called, "Julian says it might be hard at first, and it takes some getting used to, but he says everything will be okay!" she smiled, "So you don't have to worry, kay? That'll just make all of us worry too, and that won't be good for anyone!" she laughed.
"And I'm sure being a hybrid has lots of good points too," she continued, "I mean for one, I think you look really cool!" as if that could make him feel any better... Chloe sighed as Entreri snickered.
"But having the abilities of whatever Pokemon you're merged with can come in handy. I mean, when I was a Persian hybrid for that little bit, I had much better balance. It was nice not having to worry about tripping over my own feet for a while," she laughed.
"Chikaaaa!" came Lilie's excited cry, which could be taken as encouragement, but it was more of a "HOOO YEAH!" at finding another Heart Scale on the ground.
Learning from her last experience with the rainbow-hued scale, she opted to pick it up using a few leaves she flung out. Not really having a good grasp of her powers yet, the razor sharp leaves flew dangerously low, as she ducked out of the way. But after a moment she was able to control them. Lilie picked up the scale, depositing it into Chloe's bag for later use.

"Thanks, Lilie!" Chloe grinned, unaware of the Chikorita's real intent for the scale. Lilie saluted with her leaf, grinning from ear to ear, before turning her attention back on Felix's bag. After all, more pretty things would make Sasha even more jealous (in her mind at least...).
"Tail-liiiiight," she whined, "I still need a boost."
Chloe was still focused on Vhan and the others, so Saku was the one to notice first that the boulder she was leaning on was really a Graveler. The Shelgon growled as the Graveler shifted, dislodging Chloe, who backed off with a gulp. Saku faced off against the Graveler, not wanting anyone or anything to get to Chloe.
She was a little possessive like that...

{{Hey! Yay, the dice seem to be working for me again. That's like the first time in a year. xD}} A wild has appeared before Chloe! Lv 28 Hp 210 Selfdestruct- 200 kills user Rock Throw- 45 Tackle- 20 Magnitude- Power is 40-70 (only multiples of 10) Exp: +11 "Alright, Saku, you're up," Chloe called, as the Shelgon darted in front of Chloe, glaring at the Graveler. "Use a Zen Headbutt!" Chloe called, Saku already in motion, slamming into the Graveler, knocking the boulder-like Pokemon back a few paces as Saku put her hard shell to good use, psychic energy flaring about her as she charged. {{-65 Graveler}} The Graveler countered with a Rock Throw, hurling boulders at Saku. She endured the blow, before charging at the Graveler once again with a Zen Headbutt. {{-45 Saku, -65 Graveler}} The Graveler flared suddenly, exploding with startling force, as Saku flew back. Chloe shouted to Entreri, who sighed, before exhaling, releasing a flare of ice that caught Saku. She wasn't too happy about the cold, but it beat slamming into the wall. {{-200 Saku, Graveler has fainted}}

"Geez, you alright?" Chloe asked the Shelgon, who shrugged. She never really was able to say much since being trapped in her shell. But she was okay, just a little disoriented from the blast. Chloe healed her up with a few potions, doing another check-over to make sure she was alright. It seemed her shell was a bit singed, but it had taken the brunt of the blast, leaving her unharmed.
Glad for that at least, Chloe sighed, pocketing the spent potions to throw away once they got back to town. No sense in spoiling this place even more than the miners had when they abandoned the place, leaving their junk everywhere, she mused, taking a glance around. That might be why the Pokemon here seemed to be so aggressive towards humans...

"The abilities of the Pokemon definitely come in handy. While I was a Vulpix, I had the ability to control fire," he grinned, "That was kinda cool."
Except for the part where he tried to fry Kaya, he realized with a shudder. That part hadn't been to entertaining...
"You just have to be sure to stay away from the opposing element," he laughed, "I didn't mix too well with water back then, but you should have an easier time. Psychic and ground elements are fairly rare to come across in their purest forms, so you should have little trouble," he grinned, "And I really didn't have any trouble until I had to cross water, or got caught in the rain. And even then, Kaya helped me through both of those times," he smiled, looking to the prince.
"I'm real thankful for that, by the way," he offered, "I'm not sure if I told you that already," he whispered.

Vhan finally stopped sniffling and went to stand up, finding the added weight on his posterior left him greatly off balance. AS he went to take a step, his foot never reached the ground again and he fell backwards, landing flat on his rear. "Oww-hoo!" he whined as he tried to rub the soreness ot.Kaya smirked at Entreri. "You're just jealous cause you're single!" he shot back, sticking his tongue out at the Weavile.
As for Lilie, he coudl only sigh and shake his head. That would be true if not for the fact that this was a love triangle, very difficult to absolve when two people like the same person, who is undecided on either of them.
"They're right you know. Though my stint as a Mesprit hybrid wasn't very enjoyable, I did enjoy the bits of Leafeon I had in me for a long time." he admitted. "It was rather fun to be a fox." he said with a devious grin. "You might say I was rather...foxy." he joked, knowing that it was a horrible pun but using it anyway.

Entreri merely sputtered for a moment, shooting Kaya a glare, "I don't need someone else's weakness being my concerns," he snapped with a snort, "Relationships are worthless. Seems people only love another because they want to be loved in return. I want and need no part of that. The day I'm jealous of you two, I'll move to the lava pits of Mt. Chimney," he snorted.
"Treri, play nice," Chloe chided. She was unable to understand the Weavile's tirade, but she could definitely catch his tone. Wasn't hard at all, considering it was his normal tone. It was a rare case when the Weavile wasn't grumpy.
"Stupid human," Entreri muttered, rolling his eyes. Wasn't hard to catch that tone either, Chloe noticed with a laugh.
