[King_Chaos] Gwaa!!! I'm on the wrong computer for this! All this computer is giving me is boxes! gonk And this would have been the best time to practice what I've been learning over the summer too. xp Are either of you two going to be in Japan June of '09? If I can find an internship for that summer, yes. If not, you'll have just missed me.

It would be cool if I were there when you and your friends.

What year of college are you going to be in? I've been planning for quite some time now to spend my Junior year of college in Japan, after spending my first two years studying Japanese 3-6. My overall goal is to be close to fluent going in and almost perfectly fluent going out, that and it will give me a chance to make sure I want to live and work there for the majority of my life. sweatdrop mrgreen

Unfortunately, it's expensive. Regardless, spending your Junior year in Japan is merely a matter of finding a program such as IES or BCA and working with whatever college you go to's travel abroad office. Personally, I'm not even close to perfectly fluent. It's actually kind of a ridiculous to think you CAN be fluent without immersion. But I suppose if you go to a college with a strong Japanese program where you can find fluent Japanese speakers...

@Sliph-Thank you, and might I add you look, quite literally, heavenly today. 3nodding
@Blade- I have a list of study abroad options that I found at one of my college options' websites. I'm really thinking about a university in Tokyo, because I'm more likely to end up working in a big city like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka if I do move there.
And as for being fluent when I get there, I don't think I could pull that off, and I probally worded it wrong in my last post but being at least fluent enough that I can take a class in full Japanese and understand the majority of what they are talking about. If I can pull that off I should be able to start to fill in most of the blanks and be pretty dang close to fluent when I leave.

Well....<.< >.> You see the not so complex characters? The ones with anywhere from only 1-3 or 4 lines? Most of those that I typed are only found in Japanese text, while Chinese uses only the more complex characters or Kanji. Is that enough proof? sweatdrop
