Ooooh, they were panicking! The fear leaking off them was delicious and the spirit latched on to it, taking it in greedily. The people in the room would feel a giant energy pull that lasted a few moments before disappearing.
They were lucky the spirit was not very strong, it could have taken them out with as much energy as they were emitting. Stupid humans.

She could hear Thae yelling now--she'd practically jumped out of her skin. "F-F-F--" Nataki was so shaken that she couldn't even say the word 'fire' now, simply bobbing her head uselessly, not moving, eyes wide and glassy.
As Shira tripped over her, the blonde let out a terrified wail, going eeriely silent as soon as she realized it wasn't the shade. Clutching with quivering hands at the other woman, Nataki managed to stagger to her feet, whimpering, her shoulders hunched to her ears. And despite herself, despite what Thae had asked, Nataki couldn't banish those bad thoughts, only able to think of how cold and dark it was--how terrified she was.
The pull of energy made her cry out again, staggering, nearly falling yet again. Had she not been so scared, she would have most likely been shrieking with fear, instead chosing to huddle close to Shira, trembling, body wracked with silent sobs that stuck deep in her throat.

"Stop YELLING, you dumb BAT." The gaurdian of explosions flicked his own lighter on, squinting in the dim light. The hit of energy, however, made him falter, eyes fluttering once more.
s**t... this was going to lead to a complex.

Coailiann made a soft whimpering noise as the energy pulled from her and she took a deep breath, clinging to the teenager's leg, "Mel..." she said softly, "We're going to be okay, right?"
The sidhe really really wanted her guardian right now. Ianna was always so calm in the face of danger and made her feel so much better.
And god damnit, her foot was throbbing now, badly.

Anethae hissed at the energy leech. "You Son of Jori..." She hissed through her teeth at the shade she could only barely make out; her spirit eyes hadn't quite left yet. Ooooh, this stupid thing was added to her hit list, most definately.
And, coincidentally, so was the kid telling her to shut up. Seriously, she didn't know if everyone who was in the headquarters was even in this rom, and yelling was a good way of getting any stragglers in. "Fine, have it your way." She said rather calmly, though she was obviously not pleased. "Hey, guy who makes things "go boom", is that power innate, or is it the old gas trick?"
She might be able to use him.
"Uhh...Nataki, you might wanna get in the middle, with the kids." Thae said softly, though a bit nervously...she didn't want the scared woman to get hurt, but it was obvious she wasn't much help, either. So, Thae had a solution that was both nice as well as life saving.

s**t. "Ssssh. Come on now, don't cry." She guided Nataki, patting her on the back. "Good thoughts remember? Thae said good thoughts..." Though Shira was still struggling with her's, currently chanting about cigarettes and relaxing with her pet cat in her head.
Her eyes adjusted to the darkness slightly, letting her be able to at least make out when the rest of them were. "Just remember we'll be outta here soon." She tried to reassure the both of them.
She'd joined the circle finally and let Nataki make her own choice of what to do, but did advise as well. "Maybe you should listen to Thae."

Things had not been the best for Malen, he'd gott dizzy and lost consciousness at some point. Now awake he'd found only darkness and his energy being drained again.
Though it was faint he heard Kay's voice and followed it to her. " Kay what's going on?" She was the only one who ever knew what was happening. He felt so inconsequential compared to her at this point in time. " Are you Ok, where's your sister?"

"Have WHAT my way?" Iamel squinted to the spirit through tired eyes, past his little flame on his lighter. "Lady, I haven't even spoken to you yet. It's natural but I'm NOT that good yet. I have to be angry."
Yashima hesitated from his position next to his friend. His voice was mild when he spoke, "So, Iamel, does Diacyn know you had sex with someone else yet?"
"....what--"
"You smelled like sweat and someone else that one night. Does Diacyn know? Or Shanuh? Does Tousan know?"
There was an indrawn breath and Iamels eyes shone a little in the darkness, bright red flames of anger in the back. "...I'm going to KILL you, you ******** little rat."

...Sex? THERE was an interesting subject. The sidhe looked up at Iamel wide-eyed, "Does that mean you're going to be a daddy?!" Sex was used to make babies, right?
"Congratula--" She was cut off by her father coming up and she looked over at him quietly, "I don't know, daddy."
Really, she had no idea, "The lights are out?" She offered.

The frizzy haired blonde sniffed miserably, her head bobbing slightly. Good thoughts, yes, good thoughts...She wanted to be back home, curled up with a nice, big book. But she was here, in the dark, and it was cold! With another plantative sound of despair, and, turning watery eyes towards both Thae and Shira, Nataki nodded meekly and slipped into the center of the circle with the younger ones.
Iamel's voice made her stir slightly--and the sight of gleaming eyes got Nataki trembling all over again. Clutching at both sides of her head, the woman finally just buried her face in her hands, forcing herself to calm down. All right. All right. There were still children here--and she wasn't helping at all. "I-I'm okay." She stated croakily, and moved to rejoin the outside of the circle. Happy thoughts. Thoughts about going home, about no one dying. With a whispery sort of sigh, Nataki straightened, closing her reddened eyes, her hands folding quietly in front of her.

Thae had been about to answer and apologize for misunderstanding...but then the fox-boy that had been standing near Neveah's son started talking. The spirit bit down on her lip to refrain from laughing; of course, there was the beginning of a chuckle before she silenced herself.
Of course, she felt the wave of power once Iamel got angry...and she pushed through a few people instantly, reaching out and grabbing one of Iamel's hands. "I'm not sorry, the Hell I'm going to apologize." She said quickly and out loud, hoping to push Iamel just a little bit farther. Workworkworkwork, she pleaded with her mind as she used her connection with the boy to sort through his "spirit", looking for the centre of his innate magic. Once she found it, she poked at it with her own mind, burrowing into it.
"Everyone duck and cover, please." She managed to mutter, though she was otherwise distracted. Raising her other hand, she pointed it towards a corner of the room near the doorway, one where she'd seen some debris, and were she hadn't seen anybody standing.
Drawing on Iamel's anger and his innate magic, she focused her own into it, so much so that her hand burned from the heat of the fire she couldn t draw without help. Fire cackled around her outstretched hand, though in small waves and flickers...and while it was happening to her hand, the same flickers started from the corner of the room, on some of the debris.
Her outstretched hand burned, and her other hand was gripped so tightly around the boy's hand he might be able to feel the bite of her nails on his skin. It hurt, it hurt her so badly, burrowing into another's mind...but if she could use him to make something in that corner explode, she could light it on fire in its wake. There was a small cackle, followed by a the sound of a piece of wood getting blown apart.
Not long after that, there was a small fire in the corner of the room, one that slowly grew bigger. It wasn't enough to engulf the room, but it was enough to give them the light they needed to see properly.

There was an immense amount of control to keep Shira from laughing her a** off. Whether what golden-boy said was true or not-- and by the reaction she was assuming it was-- it got the desired effect.
Smart kid. She had to let out a snicker. She couldn't help it.
But seeing Nataki bravely step back out amongst the adults sobered her up. She smiled at Nataki, though she knew she probably couldn't see it.
Edit: Thae spoke, and Shira quickly put her arms over her head and turned the other way. An explosion and few seconds later she looked up to see the fire in the corner of the room, lighting up the place signifigantly.
"Wow." She looked around the room and froze.

"What the hell, lady? I don't like - you're in my goddamn head!" His eyes were wide and there WAS anger there, more then before and then he could feel her go deeper in his mind.
The Gaurdian gave a low moan of pain, clutching right back at Theas hand. His rings were probably digging into her as well, entire body trembling as she used his wn power to make the things blow up.
When he felt her withdrawn from his head, Iamel yanked his hand back, flesh being torn from itunder her grip. Iamel slid down to his knees, head back as he panted, and the black and white wings spread out for a brief moment.
"Iamel?" Yashima whispered, blinking and squintin in the newfound light. "Are you okay? Pretend-Neveah?"
"You...ever do that again, lady.." He panted, voice grating against his now-dry throat. "I'll have to pop those antennae off."
"...yeah, you're fine."

Nataki was so focused in her thoughts that she almost didn't hear Thae at first. Slowly cracking open her minds, she started at the sight of the flames, her courage deserting her as she paled and, with a squeak, dove towards the floor. Her hands feebly covered her head, and the woman jolted violently at the sound of the explosion. Scary! Light flickered through her eyelids, and, nervously, Nataki lifted her head, trembling with relief at the sight of the fire.
Clumsily dusting herself off, she tried to stand up, stumbling slightly, her hands clutching at her chest as she stared with Iamel. Had he done that? Or Thae? "W-W-Where is it?" The blonde stammered, her attention returning to the current situation.

Thae was only happy to let go of the man's hand, clutching both of her hands - one burning and one nearly bleeding - close to her chest. She'd been about to hiss a second apology when her being was threatened. Thae bristled for a moment in anger...but, upon second guessing what emotions such as anger would do, bit it back. She did, however, flinch at the nickname; Zasalamel flinched the same.
"I'm sorry...but it hurt me too, you know...and we did need light." The once-spirit apologized, informed, and tried to put some meaning to her actions, all in one sentence. "And don't call me that, please. You're hurting him." Thae nodded to the Drow boy, who had his back turned to them so he could protect Vana from what might come. "My name is Anethae. Thae for short."
Now, to see where that stupid shade was...
"Remember people, happy thoughts! Don't be afraid" Thae wheezed, still breathless from invading Iamel's stubborn mind. Now, what would this realm be considered happy... "...Home is a good one. Candy, I suppose...furry thin--Kittens! Kittens. Puppies. Sunshine - not that I remember what sunshine is, but okay - getting out of here, definately." She wanted out as much as they all did, and getting out with her new body was definately a happy thought.
"Hey, pretend its one of those spazzy things from the lowest level!" She didn't realize nobody else would get it...but she found it hilarious.
