Though secretly glad, Shade outwardly ignored Roan's comment, to perhaps an unnatural extent, refusing to acknowledge that he, somehow could be connected to such an unlordly thing as motion sickness. Rather, he silently nodded to himself and climbed after the others onto the head of the dragon, doing his best to ignore how much this feat of transformation exceeded his abilities...

"Well...Roan..." Mirror said softly, but loud enough for the silver dragon below them to hear, "I guess you know where we're going. Let's be off since we don't have that much time."

The were off, with a single beat of his wings the large dragon thrust himself into the air. The wind generated beneath such a span caused quite a rukus within the displays of the festival but those below were too stunned to cause a fuss. Rather, necks craned upwards they watched as the large beast moved higher and higher until at last he began to head northwards - remaining in sight for many minutes given his size.
It was only as the clouds drifted across that he completely disappeared and continued towards his destination with little effort. He knew where he was going, he'd been there before.

Meanwhile, as the dragon disappeared from view the creature within the depths of the Conclave gave a grumble. As extravagant as that dragon might have been he lacked the gifts that the hidden beast did. There were things that this creature knew and was very much aware of - for a start, the true identity of the 'man' who had been the target of the wizard not so long ago.
He was with that assassin. Yes, Dune.
The creature was rather surprised by the loyalty and yet another part of him seemed mildly bemused. While the mere mortals acted out their daily lives, they had no idea they were playing directly into the hands of fate.
"You seek your mistress, do you not?" He enquired, allowing his words to invade the personal space of the creature. "I know where she is."

Bing. Something nice and powerful. And with knowledge. Which usually ment bad things. A demon, or some other creature with supernatural powers and knowledge hardly ever gave it up for the goodness of their hearts.
"I suppose you want some seemingly minor thing from me in return for this information, right?"
Might as well get business out of the way. If he was going to follow the Dragon he needed to get going as soon as possible. And it wouldn't do to waste time with what might be a dead end.

"You could say that." The creature was silent for a few moments, finding entertainment in the individual's ability to cut to the chase. While humans dithered, took the aid without first considering what it entailed...this being was more than happy to negotiate and was fully aware that everything came at a price. Everything.
"It is a simple request, your mistress has a cane...a very unique cane that I desire." Pausing, the creature allowed this to sink in. What he was about to request may very well question the individual's loyalty and that was a worrying thing to some but not when the pros outweighed the cons.
"Bring it to me upon your return and I will ensure your safe arrival and your safe return."

"Done," he answered. It was a seemingly simple thing, just as he expected. He smiled just slightly. The cane, he was pretty sure he had seen it before. It should be a simple enough thing to do.
"I'd prefer we get this done sooner than later," he mentioned. He was tapping his foot slowly, waiting for whatever was going to happen. Teleportation, some sort of flying sling, etc, etc, etc.

Mirror nodded to himself and he bent down low to grab hold onto Roan's fur. He was startled when his hands passed through, but he pressed himself low anyways and tried to think himself uneffective by the growing wind.
To the gates, then...

Surprisingly easy, the creature would have to watch this one both for entertainment value and to guard his own investment. The cane although ordinary in appearance possessed unique properties that he, as a magical beast could harness to the best of his abilities. Not only would the properties allow him to develop and grow...but there were additional benefits as well.
"Granted." The response was curt, to the point and within a matter of moments the 'man' was at the midst of another dramatic show of power. Beneath his feet the vines sprang up and coiled around his form, a single pulse and he was dragged into the ground beneath his very feet - he didn't even leave a mark on the ground he had stood upon.
Nevertheless, while immersed in darkness it was difficult to detect what speed he was moving at - his only sign that he was reaching his destination was when he was rather unceremoniously thrown back into the light and directly into a rather peculiar looking tree within the Merchant town of Edge - well, he was there...

"Pathetic..." he muttered, still coughing slightly as he got used to being in the open air again. His hand reached out towards the tree, leaning heavily on it as he composed himself. Clear his lungs, check. Adjust eyes to the light, check, get his legs back, check. Yup, he was good to go.
He scoffed once at the ground, wondering if the beast thing could 'see' him. It would be typical. Flashy dramatic tricks like that were for dabblers, or people with inflated egos. Either one made the Creature less dangerous by his estimation. Or rather, giave him and exploitable weakness further down the line.
"Now... where the bloody hell am I?"
