....I love that just because I'm pro-life, I must want to pop out babies 24/7. Of course.
Despite not wanting to be pregnant at all for a long, long time. No no, let's forget about that.
I'd like to get my education out of the way. Get a job. Have a stable income. Have a long time together just with Terje.
But no, I'm pro-life. And that means...I want babies. It also means I'll be a sucky parent for some reason.

yes, anyone who cares so little as to not kill their child MUST be ill-equipped to be a parent.

That's not how I took it...I took it as, "Pro-life women have committed to not killing their children not because they're too irresponsible to control the number of kids they have but because they don't want to kill their children."
That's what I was about to say, but thought better of it, so maybe I'm reading too much into that statement.

And yet, these days, the abusive parents are more likely to be pro-choice then pro-life. Hey, the logic works. If you cant respect that life before birth, can you honostly say 100% with out a doubt that they will respect that life after birth? Every child that was wanted is not always going to be loved rolleyes

I'm totally ticked over the way pro-choicers are so smugly sure all logic is on their side and we rely on nothing but emotion. I can point out that Roe is bad law. I can prove that abortion has not lessened child abuse and it's irrelevant. I can prove that abortion is destructive to relationships and it's irrelevant. I can show that abortion does not improve a woman's financial state and it's irrelevant. I can counter every argument they produce with scholarly articles and all I hear is "emotional arguments don't count!"

I responded in the debate thread once when someone said there wasn't any real development until well into the second trimester (something that the others in the thread didn't try to correct her on) with medical sites explaining what happened in fetal development at which stage...I didn't even use the word baby, I used the word fetus...
And she responded with, "That's an emotional appeal."
What, proving someone wrong is an emotional appeal? I'm not the one who brought up the point of development.
Which, granted, is slightly better than, "An orange is a vegetable," though not as amusing.

it was an emotional appeal because it hurt her emotionally when she realized she was wrong.
see, the thing is, they can never be wrong because they are crusaders for women's rights. while we, on the other hand, are mysoginistic assholes who love child abuse and poverty.

Oh, yes. We want women to suffer and die, because everyone KNOWS that pregnancy and childbirth in America is SO DANGEROUS! Women would be dying right and left if they didn't abort! And of course by aborting their financial state immediately turns around and they become rich. *sigh*

.::Ebonysays::. Oh, pssh. You people are so late. rolleyes
Didn't y'all know? Abortion puts you out of debt, makes your boyfriend less abusive, gets you a good education, and makes your life like an Abercrombie ad. I mean, duh, people. Let's at least try to be logical here. .::[/Ebony]::.

Warning. I say "********" a lot. And this does not concern abortion.
Firstly, I'm ******** tired of parents with half-a** judgement. For example: Yesterday afternoon, I called and invited a friend to come over today and spend the night. She asked her dad. I was listening when she asked him.
He said, "Great!" So, that was all settled.
Well, my friend has summer school. As soon as she came back home, she began to pack her things. Her mom was all, "Whoawhoawhoa, where're you going?" And my friend told her the situation.
Her mom got really ******** pissed and said my friend couldn't come over because she wasn't "responsible" enough about the situation, and being "specific". So, she called her dad.
Guess what?
"Oh, I don't remember her ever being specific about times."
So, now, she's grounded for the weekend for being "manipulative" and "irresponsible".
What the giddy ******** love goes out to her dad. First of all, dearest, you were right ******** there when your daughter asked you for permission to come over. Secondly, your stupidity has cost me and your daughter our weekend plans.
Which, mind you, weren't cheap.
I had to work ******** hard on The Odyssey and doing the analysis required for each chapter and reading two other books, and your daughter is at ******** summer school trying to make you damned proud.
I'm not ******** going to your daughter's school next year. I want to be with her before July because I won't be here for all of July and she'll probably be busy in August.
Why can't some parents just be a little considerate and less goddamn picky?
For God's sake; your daughter is one of the most well-rounded kids I know. Why the ******** would she try to "manipulate" you? All she wants is to spend time with me before vacationing actually starts.
She wasn't trying to ******** trick you.
Her dad is being an incompetent fool and her mom an extremely picky one.
Ugh.
