+++"Mysterious," he said with another grin, lifting the dagger in a crosswise defense. Swinging to the left, he'd sweep out of the path of the right blade, and bring up the dagger to block the left. However, as the blade was knocked away, he turned, folding his wings as he grabbed ahold of the chain controlling it with his left hand. Yanking it toward himself, he'd move forward swiftly, flipping the dirk about so that it was now held naturally.

Vahn Kyonuske "Eh.. whatever. Not like I'm the best cook in the world anyway." He closed his eyes once again, and suddenly was immersed in a reoccurence of memory. He was laying in his chambers, and there was Ashe, holding his head in her lap... he was about to head that very moment to join Victor and ride for Draeger.... "Eh..." He opened his eyes and sighed. Some things never changed. "I quite enjoy your cooking dearheart. I'll eat it in the morning ne?"
She lets her eyes fall close but shortly after, opens them with a jolt as strange wave rolls off of Vahn. She wasn't much sure what she could do for him, but she tightened her grip on his hands, summoning the last of her energy she rolls overtop of him and smiles. Her ankle length hair cascading about them like a crimson curtain as she smiles warmly and lowers her face to his, pressing a heated kiss to his lips. Trembling, she'd lower herself against him, laying atop him like a warm security blanket, one hand playing absenly with his hair in a gentle and reassuring manner.
"I love you..."

"Yea... yea." He lay there, looking up at her for a bit, before finally closing his eyes.
"Same here." His left arm remained over her waist protectively, even as he relaxed into sleep, his body too exhausted to really do anything else.

For the first night in ages, Sierra slept soundly and dreamlessly. She felt once or twice as if something were trying to pry it's way into that serenity that held her now... but every time this happened, she could have sworn she saw a flickering of blackened flame and the feeling of prying stopped.
Safe. Warm. She awoke the next morning with her head pillowed on Vahn's shoulder, her forehead resting in the warm curve of his neck. His arm about her waist as if he was afraid she'd dissapear in the night. She couldn't help but smile as lay still, listening to his breath and the rythm of his heart, afraid to wake him.

Katia was yanked, but only slightly, as she was already bringing the blade around from the other side. The blade flew like the tip of a whip, aiming to wrap around Dan's foot as the other chain suddenlly lit aflame. " Ares doesn't like it when you touch his weapons," she said simply, watching the blueish red flames dart across the chain at Dan.

Kai hovered over the center of the Arena , charging his weapons, using his gunpods to survey the many rooms and corridors.

+++That's odd. +++By all rights, the woman should have been sent flying--three hundred thirty-four kilograms wasn't anything to sneeze at, especially when it was nearly all muscle. However, she had already proved herself a magic user. Perhaps she was using a spell to stay in place? Meh. Pay attention to the flames. +++By this time, he'd touched the ground and started his movement forward, and so pushed off to the left to avoid the blade not held by his hand. Since it would have been arcing downward, it would merely strike dirt, perhaps impaling itself in the arena's dusty floor. As for the one that was held, he'd shove it into the ground as he leapt, letting go before the firey magic--if this part was indeed magic--engulfed him. +++Quite a few tricks, he mused silently, using his remaining forward momentum to circle the woman halfway, ending up behind her in perhaps a second or two. He needed to close, and get past the minimum range of those blades, but he didn't know what else she might have in store for him. Faking right, he'd dodge to the left and move closer, picking up a handful of dust as he went. It was a probe, easily retreated from, provided her eyes did not have some magical shield.

Katia now had her back to Dan, and didn't even ask Ares for a course of action. She yanked herself forward, jumping at the same time, a movement that would sent her hurtling at her own swords, arcing forward in a flip that would gracefully put her hands on either blade, pullin them both back into her hand, a great distance between them. She smiled.
" You're quite skilled... but you're holding back," she said simply, spinning the blade in her hand carelessly.
A sudden movement brought the blade in a graceful upward arc that would fall short of Dan, but would send a volley of flames at him in the same upward, growing path the blades themselves had taken. " Ares' fire!" she exclaimed, the blade retracting automatically to her hand.

As usual, he slept in late, and wa snormally hard pressed to be woken up at anytime in the morning. Right now would be the case as he certaintly didn't want to be removed from where he was... it ha dbeen too long since he had actually gotten a decent night's sleep, and damn anyone that tried to ruin that. He was glad to be back with her.

When he finally started stirring, she would slip one arm about his waist, mirroring his embrace as the other slender hand stroked his cheek gently. She turned her head slightly so that she could smile at him, her face soft and full of warmth.
"Good morning dearheart."

He slumped against the remains of a corn silo in an abandoned barn, somewhere along the road on the outskirts of Barton that eventually led to the site of the tournament. Brown, decomposing husks and cobs made up the bed around him, a tattered patchwork cloak spilling over his form, sword still gripped in hand and propped up between both legs. Various wounds, from small knicks to large gashes, lined his arms and pantlegs...and the way the area around him looked, what with collapsed beams and debris scattered all over, it seemed like he had fallen asleep fighting. Fighting just what was hard to tell, for aside from the signs of a formidable struggle, there were no corpses to speak of.
His head was tilted to one side and he was snoring heavily, finally sleeping soundly. Sunlight filtered through the ancient grime smeared all over the windows, even as a dark shape with reaching tentacles descended upon him from above.

Only thing I want is that there will strictly be no guns in this fight..
I walked towards the man not minding the pods surrounding me.

"Good morning dearheart." "Too early for me..." He grumbled, half turning and twisting as he tried to bury his face in the bedding again.
