Braig looked around and hummed an old "The Doors" song under his breath, and stared out the window at the city people. A moment later, a 300-year old lady with a weight to match came bay and dropped off his nibblies, and croaked "Anything else I can get you, darling?"
Shuddering at the fact that this ancient . . . thing. . . apparently had the hots for him, Braig shook his head and began to slice his meat, watching as the blood that had not been cooked away yet flowed onto his plate. He lifted the first piece and chewed it reflectively.

Braig continued to eat his meat. . . redface . . . as in his steak. . . Anyway, it was actually pretty good. He had heard this place was good for meat, and they were right for once. He sucked the blood out of a particularily juicy piece and resumed eating.

Braig finished his steak and paid some money for the food ($60) and left into the NY night.

"Where were you living at that time? And do you have any token left over from that night..."
She took a drag on her cigarette, and looked over to the bar where the man she was sharing drinks with was patiently waiting. She wondered what he was thinking and pushed open his thoughts in the surface of his mind, and she quickly figured he was a hunter, and recognized her...yet he was admiring the huge painting of her and her two siblings. Hmm. His interest was tearing him as a hunter. She might entertain him.
She returned her attention to the lycan in front of her.
"Order me a drink while you're at," She smiled at him and lifted a brow.

Ceon looked up and called over the bartender. "Bartender, get me 2 Bloody Mary's." As the drinks were brought over, Ceon handed one of them to Rogue. "I was living here with my family at the time. Back then it was just another apartment building." Ceon then pulled out numerous pictures of his mutilated family, displaying several bite marks of the same size. There were also pictures of a black and crimson cape and a cane with a silver bat on the top, which belonged to the murderer. Ceon set these items on the table along with the necklace and his wife's wedding ring, which was stained with 275 year old blood.

Rogue took a drink from the bloody mary and took a drag on her cigarette. She had been in Europe 275 years ago. She set the drink and cigarette down and picked up the ring. "I hope you don't mind..." She inspected the dried bloody ring.
"Bartender...water." In a second he had brought a glass of water. She drank half and then scratched off a small bit of blood into the water and stirred it. Then in a moment, once it started to mix with the water, she drank it, and pulled for the blood memory most recent to death. She saw a face. She picked up her cigarette and took a drag.

Ceon looked at the ring intently as she drank the water, "Anything coming up?" Ceon was so excited that he was actually about to find out who killed his family.

Rogue took a drag and looked at him. "It was a female vampire who took your family, and she was killed many years ago during private operations conducted to wipe out disloyal vampires. I only know she was killed because I recognize her face..."

"No...my lineage and roots are in Europe, and hers were in the Americas. She was not very old and had no siblings."
Rogue took another long swig and lifted an eyebrow.
"So what will you do now?"

Ceon pushed his hands through his hair. He couldn't believe it. He had gone searching for 275 years for nothing. "I guess, I can only move on. There's nothing else I can do. I'm sorry for bothering you with this." Ceon packed the items into his pocket and started to walk out, leaving money on the table for his meal.

Ceon walked into the restaurant with Layna, sitting her down on a seat for he bar. Ceon signaled over to the bartender and said, "Two Chardonays please."

Layna sat down, and looked around. It had been a while since she had been here. She smiled slightly as she took in the sights. She never had much luxury living in Denali. It had been more 'eat or be eaten'.
