Suddenly, unexpectantly, a siren would be let loose across the academy grounds. Shinobi would be landing in and evacuating the area in their standard-issue equipment. Children and academy students were being led away. The fields of the academy would suddenly fill with deformed canine-like creatures. Each howling and gurgling. Small similarly deformed squid looking creatures coated the ground with sharp teeth latching on to any living thing they could find.

▱▰▱Satoshi felt the hug from Miss Uzumaki and tensed up in embarrassment. His cheeks flushed a little as he felt the attention fall on him. He stayed quiet but Yogen began lightly chuckling at his young master's mild humiliation as he gladly allowed Soyeon to pet his feathers. "I'm sure there's much you can help dummy Toshi-kun with, Soyeon." Yogen teased the boy with a sardonic cackle. When Yogen was given his treats he immediately hopped off of Soyeon's head and devoured the meat by ripping into the flesh with his sharp beak and swallowing whole. The crow's voracious appetite was truly bottomless. Satoshi noticed that a lot of other students wanted to learn katon as well. He also admired when Soyeon stood up and was outgoing enough to go around asking to help everyone. However, when the loud siren stared blaring Satoshi covered his ears as Yogen flew back to him to rest on his shoulder once again. He looked outside to see a pack of deformed monsters. "Was this...in the prophecy?" He tried to remember but he realized that he had no time to act. As other school workers walked into escort students Satoshi would yell at the top of his lungs to pierce through the loud sound. "SOYEON, GO WITH THEM!" How he hated raising his voice but he wanted to make sure that his younger friend went to safety with the evacuation. The area was becoming a lot more chaotic and therefore easier to slip out. He looked at Botenmaru and his impressive armor and nodded to him and then looked at the Akimichi boy who also seemed pretty strong. "BOTENMARU AND CHOSUKE, FOLLOW ME! SORRY MISS UZUMAKI!" He waved at them to follow him as he immediately bolted out the door and toward the courtyard. Satoshi was also mindful to apologize to his principal for not following the evacuation protocol. Once he reached the courtyard his ears were ringing but at least the sound of the alarm was much less pronounced. Assuming Botenmaru and Chosuke listened to him he would yell a battle command. "Alright boys, let's be brave!" Satoshi was uncharacteristically confident in his attempts to protect the school. "If the prophecy said this then I have to do it..." He agonized internally as this seemed far too out of the ordinary for it to not be foretold. He reached into his pouch and threw a volley of six shuriken at three different small squid monsters. Once he did so he unsheathed the blue katana on his hip. It was far too big for him so he carefully but still clumsily swung it at the nearest squid monster. Another one came out of nowhere to attack him from behind. Yogen instantly cawed and gaped his beak while puffing up his plume to seem larger to intimidate the monster attacking his master. He protectively flew towards the face of the squid monster and tried land on its face to viciously rip its eyes out.

tab Fired up to begin practicing katon techniques, Chosuke spirit was slightly quelled by the arrival of Nozumi-sensei. Not that she did anything specifically to kill his excitement but her arrival signaled something more important than training: snacks. Sure enough, after she went about greeting each of the students, she set out a pile of protein bars. His mouth nearly began to water at the sight of them. It had been 30 minutes an eternity since his last meal and he was definitely ready to chow down. "I'm doing even better now that you're here, Nozumi-sensei!" he called out as he eagerly rushed to where she had set the bars down. He would then begin stuffing several of the treats into his pockets but sadly before he was able to partake of them, an alarm would sound, signaling that the village was in danger.

tab Hearing Satoshi shout his name, Chosuke would watch as the boy bolted out of the room and though he didn't know what the boy was planning, he knew that he shouldn't be doing it alone. Thus, he would give Shikane a quick glance and nod before charging out of the room. He didn't expect her to follow him, but he at least wanted to give her some sign of assurance that he would be okay. Once he was outside, he would stop just a few feet behind Satoshi and listen as the boy called for action. Having taken Satoshi for the shy, unconfident type, his confidence surprised Chosuke. It also filled him with determination. "Ah yeah! Let's do this!" he shouted, throwing a fist into the air. He would then take up a fighting stance, preparing to take on whatever came his way.
tab Unlike Satoshi who was armed with a sword and shuriken, Chosuke was completely unarmed and would have to rely on his own hands and feet to defend himself. Thus, while his comrade stood his ground, Chosuke charged into the thick of it. Quickly spotting a group of four creatures, he prepared to deliver his signature move, launching himself into the air as fully sprawled out all his limbs. "FLYING PRESS!!!" This was his battle cry as he came crashing down on the creatures, hoping to use his weight and momentum to crush them beneath the force of his whole body (Basic Strike [ Body Slam ] | Rank C | Simple).
Botenmaru was falling in line with the rest of the group, unsure of what chakra was still...but there was no time to explain. In the distance sirens would begin crying. The warning would signal some great disaster had fallen the floating city. Botenmaru's thoughts rolled back to his own mishap in the Crimson State, siren's blaring to alarm the Squadrons of a fallen brother. He would clench his fist with an audible

Beneath his visor his eyes met Satoshi's who seemed to be surveying the group without haste. Needing no preperation time, Satoshi had devised a plan and chosen his vanguard. Botenmaru recognized his thought process. ' He chose the strongest two of the bunch...three is too many...one to help with the evacuation. He's a smart one. ' His legs seemed to move without needing the signal from his brain, he was running forward, towards danger at the command of Satoshi. " I'm with you." He shouted as he reached for the shield that had been clipped to his back, taking it up in his left hand while his right hand reached across his body to grasp the double edged sword he held closely at all times. Botenmaru's sword would slide through the creature that Yogen was struggling against, creating a deep gash that would prove fatal to most creatures and would miss harming the crow. With a pivoting motion, Botenmaru would hold his ground after ending his movement before Satoshi in time to intercept one of the wolf like creatures that invaded their courtyard. The wolf creature stood roughly the same height as Botenmaru, giving a rather intimidating presence to it. He felt a flicker of fear as he realized it was him who stood between the children behind him and the beasts before him.
' These people took me in. Gave me a home when I broke my oath. They can't be harmed. ' He thought as he would slide his sword over the top of his shield to impale the misinformed wolf, aiming to run his sword into the creature's eye socket. He would both grimace and release a broken exhale of excitement if his blade would successfully find it's mark. " There's still more!" he declared as he kept his shield raised with caution.

Soyeon enjoyed the affection given to her by the teacher and was fully prepared to walk outside before the sirens began to sound. Were they under attack or something? The girl shot Nozomi a concerned look. "Are we gunna be okay?" she asked as people inside the academy were hording the students away to the building and such. Satoshi took control, ordering Soyeon away. The girl gave a pout, but let herself be taken away. Just as she was hurrying to the group, a few of the residing yokai would crowd around the students. Seeing this as a good time to start on some jutsu practice, Soyeon glanced down at the scrolls in her hands and formed a two handed seal. With a bit of chakra, two small fireballs flickered into life before smashing into the residing demons. After the impact of demons being knocked away, Soyeon snapped her fingers, letting a small ember come from her fingers. Some few not burning around be closing in on Soyeon, the child scrambling around as the group had gone and left without notifying her. She brought her hands together again, forming another hand seal as a thin veil of mist enveloped her form. Now stuck inside of the misty area around her, Soyeon took a deep breath. Focusing the chakra in her lungs, she spout out a long gust of flames after a rooster hand seal. THe burst of flames caught a few more members of the demon force on fire, ending the stream while checking around her. "Satoshi!" ▱▰▱Yogen landed on Satoshi's shoulder again after taking down the squid monster with Botenmaru. He smiled watching Chosuke crush his opponent. "Good job, Cho!" He was unable to say the Akimichi's whole first name as he felt the slash of his katana destroy the squid creature. He noticed that his shuriken also managed to take out a good number of targets. Satoshi glanced over at Botenmaru and his eyes widened at his fighting spirit. He then saw a group of four of the small squid demons moving their way toward Botenmaru. His uncovered eye narrowed on them and ran toward them to help Botenmaru. A violet aura of chakra washed over his body. This formed an illusory purple fog over his that was filled with passing images of terrifyingly demonic ravens. He applied even more chakra to it causing the shroud to become much more realistic and terrifying. All who looked at Satoshi would be able to see the active demonic shroud. He also flipped his eyepatch up to reveal his ghastly purple crow's eye. Yogen's eyes then flashed as well. "AGGGGGHHH!" Satoshi yelled in pain because of the stress of his uncovered eye that was now blaring a purple light but it also served as a battle cry. The squid creatures approaching to hurt Botenmaru became instantly terrified and began madly flailing about at the application of insanity. Satoshi then horizontally swung his katana with all of his strength with the intent to kill all four of the creatures trying to attack his new friend. When Soyeon arrived in the area Satoshi yelled out. "Soyeon! Go back where it's safe!" He was instantly frustrated that she did not listen to him and hoped that the younger girl would get away and not get hurt.

tab The scene was turning into quite the brawl. Between the brandishing of blades by Satoshi and Botenmaru and Soyeon arriving on the scene with a firey display, they seemed to be making swift work of the squid creatures. Even he had managed to take out a group of them, though his actions were far from the refined skills of an actual combatant. Of course, the real show was when Satoshi removed his eyepatch to reveal some sort of glowing eye. Chosuke had assumed that the eyepatch had been there to cover up some sort of injury so seeing what it actually came as a huge surprise. "Woooooah." he said softly as he rose to his feet, his face a mix of awe and confusion.
tab Unfortunately, any questions Chosuke had about Satoshi's strange abilities would have to wait, as he now found himself being circled by a pair of strange canine beasts. Steadying his form, he did his best to keep an eye on both creatures, not wanting to be caught off guard. "Bring it on!" he challenged them. One of the beasts decided to take him up on this invitation and lunged at him. In response, Chosuke charged back at the creature, letting out a fiery yell. While one of the beast's tusks managed to cut into his side, Chosuke arguably came out on top, managing to trap the beast in a headlock (Basic Grapple [ Headlock ] | Rank C | Simple). He wasn't out of the woods yet though, as seeing its partner put in such a predicament spurred the other beast to action, following the other's example by lunging into the air. Fortunately, Chosuke had the perfect counterattack in mind. With all his strength, he heaved the beast he was holding up into the air and fell back, causing it to crash into the second one and bring an end to their collective assault (Basic Swing [ Suplex ] | Rank C | Simple).
tab"Heh. Nailed it." Chosuke whispered to himself as he lay on the ground panting. While he had managed to defeat the two creatures, doing so had definitely taken its toll on his body. Between all the exertion and the hit he had taken to his side, he wasn't sure how much more of this he could take. He was just glad he had grabbed all those protein bars before this all started. He was definitely going to need a snack when this was all over.
The girl in the oversized blue shirt had been caught up with the monsters that had managed to slip by, while Botenmaru wasn't exactly thrilled about the monsters having slipped through his grasp, he recognized the girl's Manifestation of Will that had created fire. " Chakra...jutsu. It's really Manifestation?" he whispered to himself. The four squids that approached with the intention to gang up on Botenmaru would fall victim to the forbidden manifestation art that Satoshi had used.

Botenmaru's eyes widened as he witnessed the Demonic Shroud. It was an impressive ability. His mind drifted back to his training he had done in the Crimson State with his Master. He had discovered Botenmaru's kekkei genkai, one he wasn't even ware of.
Botenmaru had been doing unarmed combatives one day with the other squires when it was discovered. As the two wrestled after losing their weapons, Botenmaru would release his Manifestation of Will subconciously. To the surprise of the squire and to the Master it would not be a standard physical enhancement. This was a forbidden Manifestation.
Botenmaru's had expelled "chakra", as the ninja would call it. This chakra had reacted to the explosive nature of Botenmaru's Kekkei Genkai. The female squire that Botenmaru had been fighting would be stricken by a popping and cracking effect that knocked her back forcefully. Botenmaru merely stood above her, glancing at the arm that had produced the art.
Their master approached, ending the training session. Botenmaru was sent immediately to his chambers and would not be called upon again for the remainder of the day. The master would at long last deliver him his dinner at dusk. After Botenmaru would eat, the Master had Botenmaru ready himself for more training at night.
During the next few months, Botenmaru and his Master would begin a special regiment of training. During the day, the Arcane Knight Order's techniques and strict curriculum would be practiced. At night, the forbidden arts of the Ninja World. Botenmaru's Master would convince him to never reveal these arts to the others. He said they would be jealous of his prowess and that it could create a tension between the knights. Botenmaru would believe this, not knowing that he was being taught something that would break his Oath to the Order. [ Learned: Bakuton: Baku Sukin [ Explosive Release: Explosive Skin ]
As the four squid that Satoshi vanquished would fall in one slash, yet another two would appear beside him, ready to take Satoshi's flank. Botenmaru would move forward instinctively. He turned his shield arm out to reveal his palm that was open as his shield was strapped to the forearm. With his open arm hand he would preform an open handed palm strike as he clotheslined the second squid with his forearm. With a small application of his Manifested Will, Botenmaru would expel a blast of explosive force that was small, but more than enough to cause both of these creatures to be sent flying back with smoldering forms. In the meantime, Cho had managed to continue wailing on the enemies he faced. Botenmaru was impressed that he was able to combat them with his own body so easily. Botenmaru would scarcely ever remove his armor for such reasons. The group that was fighting here seemed to be a tiny powerhouse.

Once every three posts, the user is able to defend an attack without paying an activation for the technique, instead spending it upon an offensive action if the user chooses. • Combat Medic [ Medical ] | Shinobi of this discipline gain the ability to pay for their simple taijutsu as complex. This does not alter its strength in collisions in any way from a standard simple technique. The user's body is more attuned to adrenaline, which allows them to receive a benefit from their techniques which use them every other post versus every three post. Not only does this discipline allow the user to utilize the technique twice, but each time the user is restored of 250 chakra. The user also deals with trauma they receive at one rank less than other ninja. • Medical-Bukijutsu | The user is able to slash their weapon at a target, applying a healing technique to it and casting it upon the target. Every three posts the user is able to combine offensive medical ninjutsu with a bukijutsu technique for one activation, paying only the resource cost every three posts. It seemed the boy in the armor was struggling with the chakra a bit. Of course. He wasn't a shinobi so this could be diffcult for him to understand and comprehend for a bit. "Don't you worry, we'll help you." She said softly to him. With moments, alarms were going off and her hues changed from warm honey to dark, cold, and serious dark brown. As her head slightly tilted to look out of the window, it was then, she saw the hellhounds and the deformed squids. For some reason, seeing them had brought her back home. Kirigakure. Honestly, she wouldn't mind adopting one of those dogs.
Then young Satoshi started to sprout orders as her eyebrow rose gently. What should she do? Force the students to evacuate? With a soft sigh, she gently look down Soyeon with a smile, "Of course. We'll be okay." Nozomi had to make a decision. She could let them learn or pull them back and fight them off herself. She was eerily quiet. Not too long after, more and more students started to join the fight. She had other teachers go with the evacuees and of course, with her job as a principal, she figured that she should stay with the students that had decided to fight. After all, what's the best way for them to learn?
When she graduated, they were under attack in Kirigakure. With a reluctant sigh, she headed outside where the rest of the students had head off. The students were targeting the squids. How did they know that might be the weaker creature? Did any of them had sensor abilities? Oh duh. Right. Satoshi was an Uchiha. The others started to follow him already. Hmm. He would be a good leader that was for sure. Then finally, the real Nozomi showed up as they paused for a moment as the real Nozomi did some handseals and everything came wooshing back. She growled slightly as she glared at her students but figured they would be okay. She was soaked, from head to toe, as if she went swimming with her clothes on.
With a deep sigh, of course, the clone her doesn't do anything. The actual her would've done the same thing. The students were going to learn that life was dangerous. She kept a close watch but then heard Soyeon cried out. With that, she got to Soyeon's side as she grasped her hand gently for a moment. "It's okay." She lets go of Soyeon's hand gently just in case she needed to do more handseals but still stood by her side. Her voice was calm and gentle. Soyeon would've noticed that her hands were wet but warm. She waved her hands as her chakra was focused, a bunch of chains had shot up to aim for the hellhounds. Once it captured them, it would wrap around their body and latch onto a limb or it's neck, draining them all the same. The hellhounds were howling as they attempted to break free from the chains. She glanced down towards Soyeon softly, "They are weaker now," Then she shouted at the group, "But still tread with caution!" Satoshi had finally removed the eyepatch but she wasn't bothered much by it, she just hopes that he wouldn't strain himself too hard. Then the new student had surprised her, it seemed he does have some chakra after all. With a soft smile, she kept an eye on the students.

Hidden in the shadows of the trees, the grey hued girl kept an eye on the group as well as her teacher. She almost acted out when Soyeon cried out for Satoshi but she stopped when it seemed that Nozomi had gotten to Soyeon's side. Whoa. She watched Satoshi as he revealed his eye. She couldn't see the colors but she saw how the creatures act. Right. Note to self, never look at him in the eye when that patch was removed. Shikane didn't get right into the battle at first. She knew that she didn't have a lot of chakra and she wasn't used to battles so her stamina would be kind of low. But the boys, instead of thinking of what could happen, they went in headfirst. She never understood that. Sure enough, she started to see their exhaustion was setting in quick.
'Don't do that...' Shikane thought to herself as Chosuke fell to the ground. Sure enough, the squids saw it as a chance and went gunning for her friend. Now not seeing a choice, she jumped off from the tree, landed on one of them, her knee making impact on the ground as she punched one of them. As there was a nasty squish sound, she then punched the other squid as she scowled towards Chosuke. "Get up." She said sternly as she stood up. "You wanted to fight, you accept the consequences." Her English was well. When she was focused, she was dedicated.
She figured while she was watching, she can save her energy by focusing on the squids. The hellhounds? She was going to leave it to her teacher.

There we so many of these demons that Soyeon could just barely rest for a second. Directly after her offensive on the beasts, one came charging at her with its weird tendril things. Soyeon jumped, a quick pulse of chakra causing a clone of her to appear and take the brunt of the hit for her. The resulting burst of wind sent it away. Using her new opportunity, Soyeon would turn to get a nearby dummy and lift it used the wind generating from her bosy. With a flick of the hand, it was sent out towards the pushed away yokai. A training sword landed nearby while she swung it around furiously, a whirl of fuuton chakra spinning around it. Stray and loose objects around her would circle in the funnel near the tip of the blade. With these gathered, she sent it soaring towards the enemies around her in a blind fury. "Wha?" Soyeon jumped as somebody grabbed her hand. She looked up just in time to see Nozomi holding it while gently reassuring her all would be well. She cast a suiton jutsu, surrounding the hellhounds in chains while the small student would nod in approval. "I'll make you proud, Ms. Nozomi~" Soyeon spun around and focused on a stray kunai embedded in the wall from a previous user. After making a crow sign, Soyeon pulled the kunai from the wall after focusing on the wind sailing beneath it and threw it at one of the hellhounds. Her aim was a bit sloppy, but she willed the winds to adjust at the last moment, knocking it into the head of one of the beasts. She switched to a Doton nature, clapping her hands together before moaking a bear and seal and digging into the earth beneath her to pull out a chunk of it, hurling it at the hellhounds. ▱▰▱Satoshi was unaccustomed to seeing with his full range of vision. Out of his peripheral vision, he saw Chosuke impressively take out a hound. He then saw Shikane jump out of the trees to back him up. Her hiding and ambushing tactic struck him as classically of the shinobi. Satoshi's face twisted in a painful wince as he felt the extremely bright neon purple light intensify from his eye. Yogen's eyes intensified in kind. He felt the pain begin to spread into his ocular veins until the light consumed almost half of his face. Illusory images of terrifying monsters continued to swirl around his body in the chakra-based fog. The combination of his demonic shroud and all-consuming crow's eye made the boy look progressively more ghastly. Even in his sharp pain, he felt a sense of relief when he saw his teacher step in to weaken the hellhounds. He also saw Botenmaru continue to savagely brawl with the various abominations he was facing. He watched Soyeon continue her impressive display of ninjutsu but ran towards her the moment she turned away from her opponents. Three of the hounds broke out of the water chains and advanced on her. He jumped between Soyeon, Ms. Uzumaki, and the hounds and suddenly a big purple ghost would erupt from the chakra fog in front of the hounds. He had meant for some time to demonstrate his genjutsu aptitude to Ms. Nozomi but never imagined that this would be the situation. The hounds stopped for a moment and seemed to feel their skin crawl as they stared at the apparition. Satoshi then took his chance and swung his katana twice at two of them with all of his might. Two of them went down immediately but he felt immensely exhausted by that level of physical exertion. The third hound broke through its fear and bit into Satoshi's right arm before he was even able to defend himself. "OW!" He yelled as he felt the hound's teeth digging into his forearm and shaking it around. Immediately, Yogen cawed and started pecking at the hound's left eye from his position perched on Satoshi's shoulder to force the monster to release his master but to no avail. The pain from the hound's maw mixed terribly with the pain from his revealed eye making Satoshi quite distressed.

Soyeon turned around just in time to catch a glimpse at what was attacking her. Three hellhounds, bounding towards her with no time to recact. She winced and awaited the impact until a ghastly specter had been birthed right in front of her, Satoshi jumping between them and the beasts just in time to save the,. His tactic worked well for a while, filling the hellhounds with fear before interrupting the illusion by swinging his blade at them. the first two went down without too much of a struggle but the third would launch a counter attack of its own, biting into Satoshi's hand. His cries of pain made Soyeon angry, defensive.
She stepped forward into the dog, forming a bear hand seal while concentrating chakra into her hands and slamming them into the ground. Her arms would be covered by stones, bringing them both together and then wrestling the hellhound attached to Satoshi off of him. She threw a punch, sending it it a short ways away. Another hand seal, and she disappeared into the ground below while the beast was stunned. Her head sped through the dirt until she was a few feet away. Her next move was to bring her hands into the earth, pulling the hellhound closer to her as the ground shifted to accomodate the pull. Using all of her strength, Soyeon picked the hellhound up by its feet and threw it onto the ground. She began wailing on it, sending punch after punch. "DON'T. HURT. MY. FRIEND!" After pulversing the attacker, Soyeon would get off and hurry back to Satoshi, giving him a concerned look. "Are you okay, Satoshi?" Retaliation: •Soyeon attacks Hellhound. I'm not seeing any totals here or resource being spent. As a result, I can only assume Stone Bracers Being Base E. The Hellhound gets up even after being pummeled to retaliate with a C-rank flame targetting Soyeon. One Hellhound is now weakened enough to be dispatched by a D-rank amount of resource.
•Nozomi's Kemono Fuuin: Specifies [target] as opposed to [target(s)] the resource of Kemono fuuin spent was only [20] vs the collective [140] At the given time. Hellhounds will not counterattack but will collectively as a whole break free melting the chakra chains with their acidic bile.
