"b-bl-blan...ket...?" Farid blubbered, as his cheeks were stained with streams of tears slipping down them, and plopping on his sweater. "I-I'm j-just wearing m-my sweater!" he wailed, desperately pulling back his little reptile tail closer to him, coiling it tightly to the rest of his body. What was this strange freshling talking about? What blanket? Were there different words for things here than back home?
But with the mention of scales, his glossy eyes looked down at his shiny bottom half, sucking on his lip in thought. Scaley....? "My... tail...?" he slowly asked around a few sniffles, peeking back up to the Demon nervously. As things started to click in his little head, he began to calm down a little more, large ears pricking upright. Oh, wait.... was he.... did he...?
Hugging the coatl to him, as he straightened up, he let the tip of his little tail stretch out, and wriggle, "n-no this is... my tail..." he repeated, "I-I'm... a naganeko.." he quietly murmured. Nightmares of this world must not all know of his kind... just as he didn't know of theirs. After all the other child was strange looking to him too... Staring at the nubbies on the Demons head, he pointed at them, "did... you bump your head...?"

Mai was going to say something about the plushie but figured that she was probably missing something. She had always been one to miss resentment others could carry unless it was in Vanna. It would probably be a bad thing in the long run but currently she was a bit too worried over the fate of the plushie. Still it was a bit silly to mention something about it, and before she could both her brother and Mytrax were “attacked”. “I’m glad you caught that one. I swear the people at these festivities. One of these days they’re actually going to go overboard and hit someone right in the face. It’s a pleasure to meet you Mytrax. I’m Mai and this is my brother Vanna” Mai replied totally not noticing when someone slipped a book into her bags and totally missing the sudden look of disbelief that crossed his features.
Ah it seemed like their new acquaintance was from a clan outside of the cache or at least her sentence hinted as much. He only tended to run into the ingrained suspicion of other races in non-cache members of his kind. He himself had no problems with daydreams but to each his own. He wasn’t about to judge her on what races she resented. Still… “What a shame that no one takes into consideration plushies these days. Sorry for it's loss” He ended up replying not quiet being able to help himself and it was a way to avoid giving his name. He was pretty sure she wouldn’t know it as he was rather secretive about his life but he had been rather active lately and there was always the chance that she actually would. Of course his decision was taken out of his hands when Mai just flat out introduced them. In fact he was startled enough that the same person that was sneaking books into Mai’s bag also managed to somehow sneak a locket into his.

He was glad that Jaden escaped the plushie throwing although it was getting on the dark side and Jaden was darker colors. Leto probably would have blended in but it was a bit hard to hide when you had blood red hair that tended to stand out. Shaking his head he picked up his pace to catch up with Jaden. “That sounds like an excellent idea” leto replied heading towards their room. Chani was getting awfully squiggly and letting her down seemed like a huge mistake at the moment. The faster they were safer in the rooms and Leto could get that umbrella the better. Of course he had to frown as they got to their room only to see a box of chocolates sitting outside of it. Even weirder it seemed to have his name on it. Maybe it was something from Layren? "we made it with out another incident at least"
Right. Now that he had a prize for Matty, he needed to actually find his friend. Standing on his toes, Ryker tried to look over the heads of the other Nightmares and Daydreams. Unfortunately, he didn't see the brown eared goblin anywhere. While he looked, he couldn't stop himself from playing another game. Maybe Matty would spot him being silly and find him instead. This game required the player to throw an oblong shaped ball into a hole. Since Ryker was sure he had pretty good aim, he played and won another plushie. Maybe he'd keep this one for himself.

Eve found herself juggling a few too many familiars. Really it was nice the vespercat had wanted to come along with her but she had Mr. Squeakers and Frost wing with her already so she felt a bit like a circus. It was silly to put herself through all of this. Deciding to weaver her way out of the party for a while she headed back to her dorm to drop off her familiar baggage so that it was down to just her. Oddly enough she couldn’t shake the vespercat who slid out the door just before it closed to follow her. Really she was surprised. The cat was like a little ninja. Staring at it she shook her head and tucked it under an arm as she headed back to the party. Maybe she should go into beast keeping rather then language arts.

Darrah was having far too much fun with these games. He was practically juggling the prizes he'd already won, but was on the lookout for more games to play! He had all but forgotten about finding someone to play a prank on in the midst of his winning streak. The next game he tried his hand at was a kind of tic tac toe, and the object was to toss heart shaped bean bags onto a board from about two feet away. Setting his plushies down, the dryad tossed his bags carefully and managed to get three in a line! WIth a happy grin, he accepted the jackalope plushie and went off to find something else to do.

Bibiana had finally set her new cat down, but she was having to dance around him as he wove in and around her legs. This only served to make her giggle where most others might get annoyed with their familiars. She came to another table selling jewelry and bought herself a pink ring with heart cut out of it. It was really cute, and she thought it went well with the bracelet she'd gotten a few minutes ago. As she continued to walk around the festival, she admired the decorations and wondered what kind of food there would be. She was beginning to get hungry...
Kroll debated on grabbing yet another vespercat plushie but contained herself and grabbed a little fox one instead. It was true she wanted to have a lot of verspercat plushies in a collection but it was also true she wanted a hint of varity to make the collection really stand out more. So snagging a teal kit plush seemed like a good idea before heading out to check out the pretty colored stones.

Nasrin hummed to himself as he wandered around the festival. He had been pretty lucky so far, in that he'd won something from everything he'd played. He popped another jawbreaker in his mouth (the last one he had accidentally spit out when he was looking at one thing and ended up walking into a wall, oops). He was planning on being much more careful with this one. As he sucked on it, he found another game he wanted to try. There were twenty or so cups filled with water and the point was to get ping pong balls in them. It was pretty easy; he managed to get three out of five of his in, which got him one of the smaller plushies.
Kaname couldn't help but blink in surprise, then smile a little at Piper's concern. She was awfully nice! "Oh, n-no, I'm okay, I pro--mise...!" They chirped in response. "I--if I need anything I'll le--let you know..! D--definitely." They shifted a little to adjust the coatl nestled around their waist, and then looked around. "Wha--what sort of g--game do you wanna pla--play?"

Ganymede snorted a little. He had to admit, the idea of someone else being hit with the canon did seem appealing. "Yeah, I guess that would be entertaining." He nodded, then reached out to grab some of the same candies as the person passed by. He rolled his eyes at Shard's question - of course he got bright when he lit up. They were lights--- wait, wait, behave Ganymede. Behave. "Yeah I get pretty... bright... But no, I definitely don't play sports." He shook his head. "But I guess you have a point... maybe I should monitor that more carefully." He hummed in thought, and then turned to maybe head somewhere else, but stopped when a familiar voice called out to him.
Leilah. Oh boy. He eyed the blue imp as she approached, thankful she didn't go in for a hug. "Hello Leilah. Happy Jubilee." He responded in his usual flat tone, then eyed the plushie. Didn't he have enough of these? Goodness. Regardless, he took it - knowing full well she'd chosen it because it was purple and looked grumpy - and then tucked it under his arm with the others... "Thank you... uh,..." It dawned on him that he didn't have a gift for her, so he held out the bag of candies he'd just gotten. "Here, you can have these."
A+ job there, Ganymede. He was going to correct Leilah that Shard was, in fact, just an acquaintance.. but the brush of her tail caught him off guard. He shuddered, lighting up for a few seconds until he figured out what had gotten in his space. "Leilah, your tail."

"Oh...!" Saerun blinked, she hadn't realized it would be that strange to Husk, though now that she thought about it... well... "Geishtsh glow, y'know? Ummm... Mr. Teshysh shaid itsh a ... um... defensh shing." She shrugged a little. Whatever it was, she didn't care. It did well enough to make people leave her alone when she was upset, and that was all that mattered. Though she had a feeling that now Husk would just want to get up in her space even more.
Pretty purple. Just like her? She tilted her head, not really sure how to react to that statement. Should she thank him? "Shanksh, Hushk." Sure.. That seemed to be about right. Maybe she should tell Husk how to move through crowds... He seemed to just do whatever he wanted without looking out for others.
Once at the booth she, too, stared blankly at the lady while she baby-talked them. What were they, infants? She was very much not amused but nodded along anyway, which was probably better than what Husk was doing. "I guessh sho, we could put picshuresh in shem, they gotta shing for it." Maybe she wouldn't give hers to her mom...
By now she was used to Husk guiding her places, so she moved along with him until she was in her spot, then picked up the beanbags... Unfortunately, none of them made it into the circles, which meant no prize for her. Oh well. "Your turn, Hushk. Maybe you'll do better shan me." She nodded, and stepped aside for him to take his turn.
Aiday crawled out from under the table and carefully lead the way to the bop a flitterrat game. She was still nervous about being out in the open, but with Meli willing to stay with her she started to build a little courage. She forgot her nervous as she started to bop this silly plushie attached to the sticks. Aiday smiled as she got a score high enough to win a prize. She picked out a pink and black flitterrat and offer it to Meli. "For you, thank you for helping me." Aiday said softly.

Chau gave her big freshling eyes, his eyes blue like his mother's eyes. "Aww how come?? Is it cause you have a big boy for a boyfriend?? What about when I get bigger??" He said with a cheerful grin. "I bet I could win you more plushies." he said cheerfully. Chau held up another plushie, this time a stealpup plushie. "I really have to find someone my own age??" He pouted "But will they be as pretty and fun as you??"

Caram left Trixie with his phone number to get ready for the speed dating game, he wasn't sure if he was going to take it seriously or if he was going to try to form a trio. Caram didn't know what he wanted out of his love life. After all going from having no love life to having a date and speed dating later, was a lot to take in. Caramel walked along, till he came to a shop, there he picked out a pink Atherjelly. Hoping Trixie would like the familiar since it looked like a water creature.
Caron went to a pick a heart game, he picked up a heart and it showed he was a winner. Caron grinned and then picked out a pretty pink Coatls, he wanted to see if Dia wanted the cute creature. He hoped she wasn't afraid of snakes, but Caron thought it was cute and seemed affected, or maybe he should get her a vespercat or a plushie. Caron pouted trying to decide.
Camrine smiled at the pair and then grabbed a box of chocolates from a booth and then she asked "Do you like chocolates Fig??" Cam laughed "My goodness Fig you're starting quite the collection of pets there, I think your right we should go do something else before more familiars pick you." she laughed and smiled at him insisting, to wear, the scarf inside. "Come on maybe we can find a game to play." She said warmly

Cal wanted one last guess, though, and stayed to make it. She was successful with her guess, and won a trinket. Hesitating, she picked a blue locket. Blue was a good color.

SL was disappointed when his playmate left, but no matter. He simply took himself and his rat and moved on.
Jezebeth smiled as Eno took a bit of the brownie she offered for him. While she did feel a bit of a blush creep up, she somehow felt better about it now that they were dating. It felt more natural. Not quite like when they were kids, this was definitely different, but a lot more comfortable then even the thought of feeding him had been for a while now. When he offered her the same she happily took the bite as well. It definitely made her happy to be sharing their food again.
When Enoukn mentioned the tree she realized how great of an idea was. Way better then just heading back to their dorm. The tree was certainly where things had started for them. She could remember stepping outside on that raining day and finding the little (well not so little) Baphomet sitting under a tall tree and staring at a small sapling. How that tree had grown and with it, their relationship as well.
She had the biggest smile on her face when she replied, "I'd really like that!" She managed to keep her speech normal for a chance. Her nerves were slowly going away as they she took her time to enjoy the rest of her brownie.
Hmmm, what sort of games would be good for Kaname? Piper wanted to be sure she didn't tire him out before the festival was over. A mistake she had made with poor Arya and he wasn't even prone to being sick or anything. Sometimes being as full of energy as she was wasn't a good thing, but she was learning how to pace herself more and more these days.
She looked around at all the options are them, there were plenty of games that just involved chance or weren't too demanding. She spotted one that have various rings given away as prizes. It was as simple as pulling a little duck out of a pond! "That one over there has some cute prizes! Let's try it!" With her hands still firmly on her hips and her tail wagging she began to lead the way.
'Oh, thank you! It has surely pierced my heart." Foras accepted the arrow quite happily. He was aware of what they stood for and was really touched. He didn't know what the future of their relationship would be, but he was sure he'd always be close to the lovely Fallen. Should something happen, he was quite positive they would at leats be life-long friends.
Ah, Foras had almost forgotten that Alioth had never actually met Ophrys! he talked about his little brother all of the time so Alioth did know about him, but they'd yet to actually interact. Woops! Ophrys was really shy, but Foras was trying his best to help the adorable little hybrid out with that! There was no need for his Lil' Bro to be shy when he was as positively adorable and sweet as he way! He'd have more friend then he could count if he could interact with others!
He stood over and scooped Ophrys up, holding the little freshling on his hip for the time being. He was just so small and cute, Foras had a bad habit of toting him around when they spent time together. He was definitely the kind of big brother that spoiled his little sibling. In some ways it made him wish he had an actually sibling, but that's where Ophrys came in!
"Sorry for not introducing you two sooner! Ophrys, this is my special friend Alioth. And Alioth, this is my Lil' Bro, Ophrys. Isn't he the cutest?" He once again gently ruffled the small hybrid's hair, looking very much the picture of a proud older brother. If there was one thing he was totally serious about getting right, it was his relationship with Ophrys.
Lori was the one leading Bailey around at this point. She really was in a better mood then she had been that morning. Things were starting to look up for her, and after all, life must go on. She knew that it would be filled with other sad moments, that was a given, but if she could make the day brighter she might as well do so. As she wandered around a table full of shiny small stones caught her eye.
"Bailey! Over there!" She rushed her twin over to the table and asked all sorts of questions about the pretty stones until she was told she could pick one to take with her. It was a hard decision, but she eventually settled on the one called sugilite. The purple in it was just so pretty! It reminded her of her own eye color, and of course her brother's as well.

Even Bailey was having a good time, despite the fact that Lori was dragging him all over the place. While he might be the early bird of the two, he was actually the less active one. He would be much happier just finding a place to sit and taken in what all was going on around them. But, Lori certainly wouldn't find that very fun at all. He allowed himself to be pulled over to the table of various stones. They really were pretty and he listened as Lori asked questions and the attendant answered them.
In the end he picked up flourite for himself, he really like how it had two different colors. It gave him some inspiration for his own work that he planned on doing in the future. He would take after his mother's business of glass blowing and the whole world would know the Obsidian name. That was the best revenge he could get against his father's clan...
